Love for others is - obeying God in how you treat them (I John 5:2-3).
Love for others is - to prefer them above yourself (Phil 2:3).
(See Relationship Topic: Love is Obey, and Relationship Topic: Love for Others)
So how should we treat others?
Philippians 2:3 - Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves.
I Corinthians 13:1-8 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never comes to an end…
(Every mention of what love is – really means what obedience is: love is obeying God in how we interact with him, and how we treat others.)
