I cry aloud to the LORD and He answers me from His holy hill. (3:4)
I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side. (3:6)
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety. (4:8)
In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. (5:3)
But I, by your great mercy will come into your house; in reverence will I bow down toward your holy temple. (5:7)
O LORD my God, I take refuge in you; save and deliver me from all who pursue me… (7:1)
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the Name of the LORD Most High. (7:17)
I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart, I will tell of all your wonders. (9:1)
I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. (9:2)
In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me, “Flee like a bird to your mountain… (11:1)

My steps have held to your paths; my feet have not slipped. (17:5)
I call on you, O God, for you will answer me. (17:6)
I love you O LORD my strength. (18:1)
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. (18:2)
I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. (18:3)
In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears. (18:6)
The LORD has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me. (18:20)
For I have kept the ways of the LORD; I have not done evil by turning from my God. (18:21)
All his laws are before me; I have not turned away from his decrees. (18:22)
I have been blameless before him and have kept myself from sin. (18:23)
You exalted me above my foes; from violent men you rescued me. Therefore I will praise you among the nations, O LORD; I will sing praises to your name. (18:48-49)
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. (18:14)
Be exalted O LORD in your strength; we will sing and praise your might. (21:13)
I will declare your name to my brothers; in the congregation I will praise you. (22:22)

I love the house where you live, O LORD, the place where your glory dwells. (26:8)
But I lead a blameless life; redeem me and be merciful to me. (26:11)
My feet stand on level ground; in the great assembly I will praise the LORD. (26:12)
The LORD is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid? (27:1)
… at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD. (27:6)
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. (28:7)
I will exalt you, O LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. (30:1)
When I felt secure, I said, “I will never be shaken.” (‘I will always say – I will never be shaken!’) (30:6)

In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge. (31:1)

I hate those who cling to worthless idols; I trust in the LORD. (31:6)
I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul. (31:7)
For I hear the slander of many; there is terror on every side; they conspire against me and plot to take my life. But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, “You are my God. My times are in your hands...” (31:13-14)
When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD – and you forgave the guilt of my sin. (32:3-5)
We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. (33:20)
In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. (33:21)
I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. (34:1)
My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. (33:2)
I sought the LORD and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. (34:4)
This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. (34:6)
My whole being will exclaim, “Who is like you, O LORD? You rescue the poor from those too strong for them, the poor and needy from those who rob them.” (35:10)
I will give you thanks in the great assembly; among throngs of people I will praise you. (35:18)
My tongue will speak of your righteousness and of your praises all day long. (35:28)
I will wait for you, O LORD; you will answer, O Lord my God. (38:15)
I confess my iniquity; I am troubled by my sin. (38:18) I said, “I will watch my ways and keep my tongue from sin; I will put a muzzle on my mouth as long as long as the wicked are in my presence. (39:1)
But when I was silent and still, not even saying anything good, my anguish increased. My heart grew hot within me and as I meditated, the fire burned; then I spoke with my tongue: “Show me, O LORD, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life. (39:2-4)
I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD. (40:1-3)
I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart. (40:8)
I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly; I do not seal my lips as you know, O LORD. (40:9)
I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal your love and your truth from the great assembly. (40:10)
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. (42:1)
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? (42:2)
Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. (42:5)
My soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you… (42:6)
You are my King and my God, who decrees victories for Jacob. Through you we push back our enemies; through your name we trample our foes. I do not trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame. (44:6-7)
Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love. (48:9)
My mouth will speak words of wisdom, the utterance from my heart will give understanding. (49:3)
Why should I fear when evil days come, when wicked deceivers surround me – those who trust in their wealth and boast of their great riches? (49:5-6)
The righteous will see and fear; they will laugh at him, saying, “Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others!” But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever. I will praise you forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope, for your name is good. I will praise you in the presence of your saints. I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, O LORD for it is good – for He has delivered me from all my troubles, and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes. – 54:6-7
But as for me, I trust in you. (54:23) In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me? (56:4)
Record my lament; list my tears on your scroll – are they not in your record? Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me. (56:8-9)
In God, whose word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I praise – in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? (56:10-11)
I am under vows to you, O God; I will present my thank offerings to you. For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life. (56:12-13)
I cry out to God Most High, to God, who fulfills his purpose for me. (57:2)
My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast, I will sing and make music. Awake my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. (57:7-8)
I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. (57:9-10)
But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. (59:16)
Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge. (62:5-7)

I will praise God’s Name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. This will please the LORD more than a bull with its horns and hoofs. (68:30-31)
But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your Salvation always say, “Let God be exalted!” (70:4)
But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more. My mouth will tell of your righteousness, and of your salvation all day long, though I know not it’s measure. (70:14-15)
I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, O Sovereign LORD; I will proclaim your righteousness, yours alone. (70:16)
Even when I’m old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, til I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come. 70:18

My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you – I, whom you have redeemed. My tongue will tell of your righteous acts all day long, for those who wanted to harm me have been put to shame and confusion. (71:22-24)
But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds. (73:28)
As for me, I will declare this forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob. (75:9)
I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds. (77:11-12)
What we have heard and known, what our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done. (78:3-4)
Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. (84:10)
I will listen to what God the LORD will say; he promises peace to his people, his saints – but let them not return to folly. Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that his glory may dwell in our land. (85:8-9)
Teach me your way, O LORD, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths of the grave. (86:11-13)

My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life. (119:50)
The arrogant mock me without restraint, but I do not turn from your law. I remember your ancient laws O LORD, and I find comfort in them. (119:51-52)
Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law. Your decrees are the theme of my song wherever I lodge. In the night I remember your name, O LORD, and I will keep your law. This has been my practice: I obey your precepts. (119:53-56)

Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word. (119:67)

Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands make me wise than my enemies for they are ever with me. I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word. I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me. (119:97-102)
I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path. (119:105)
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. (119:105)
Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end. (119:111-112)
