Hope: An expectancy. A desire of something good, with an expectation of obtaining it, a belief that it is obtainable, an expectation of a desirable thing, confidence, pleasing expectancy. The feeling that something wanted, can be had, or will turn out for the best.
Psalms 16:8-9 - I have set the LORD always before me, because He is at my right hand, I will not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest in hope.
Ephesians 1:18 - I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order to know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
