Love you all, praying for you.
The more I do PRISM – the more I love His Word. It’s truly amazing how He speaks to us about today – through these words written 2000 to 4000 years ago. A thousand years in His sight is as one day – so to God - He just said this a couple days ago – it surely applies to you today. Yesterday in PiVAT before dinner – I asked God that first question of PiVAT which we just don’t know – What Do You Need Most From God Today? So I asked Him. He impressed upon me – “Consistency” – so I wrote it down, along with the Vision and Accountability that He had for me for today – what to do and the specific time. Then I filled in the testimony for yesterday - what He did and what He revealed as I'm learning to obey. What a blessing to review what He did and what He told me! What a great day full of His faithfulness. But this morning when I did my PRISM with Him – as He so often does – today's PRISM was exactly what He told me yesterday in my PiVAT before dinner that I needed most from Him. I would normally go off on the craziness of that - but I'm getting so used it... He does it all the time! He'll tell you what you need most in PiVAT before dinner - and give you the answer in your PRISM the next morning - the very next verse you come to! Psalms 119:5 – O that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees, then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands. I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me. (Another version says – “please don’t give up on me.”) Wow. David is wishing he were consistent – this is just what God told me in PiVAT before dinner – David is wishing that he was consistent as an obeyer, and he's lamenting the inconsistency at times in his life. He’s being real, keeping it one hundred. Why? Because when he reads God’s commands he feels shame, guilt, and feels like he’s a failure when it comes to God’s word and His commands. (What he didn't know back then - is the purpose of the law is to reveal the need for a Savior – who has come for us in Jesus!) And then God gives us through David's next words - the keys for consistency. Praise, Learn, Obey, Overcome. David says - I will praise you with an upright heart – It starts with His Presence – Praise – Praise Him for what He did – not what you did or didn’t do. With an upright heart – David is years before Christ but prophesying that we will be upright in heart – through Jesus – He makes us upright! Not because of what we do – but what He did. That’s why those who receive Him as Savior and LORD – can worship and praise him with an upright heart – even though their consistency is still His work in progress! So to become consistent in walking in His ways - #1 Praise Him with an upright heart – which you are in Christ Jesus – not because of what you did but what He did. Then David said #2 Learn His Word - Stay in PRISM – throughout the day – those 5 things you can do in His Word – keep coming back to them. David said “as I learn your righteous laws. #3 Obey – PiVAT before dinner will help you! - it consistently lets God show you his plans for you for today – so you can do them! Just start with what He is telling you to do first, and next – in this hour. He’s not going to abandon you because you have been inconsistent – He is right now drawing you to consistency. How do you be consistent? Praise Him – with the upright heart He gave you! Learn His Word, Obey what He tells you – and Overcome with your testimony. This will keep you consistent. Praying that you will be in His Presence - choosing that place of worship and praise above everything else. Praying that you will always be in PRISM so you learn His Word - so it transforms your thoughts and mind. Praying that you will never eat dinner before taking those 5 minutes with Him in PiVAT - getting His plans for you for tomorrow - so you can do what He tells you in this hour. And praying that on your Daily Call – your will overcome every day with your testimony. You won't have to think about consistency - you’ll just do the first and next thing that He leads you in – every time. He will bring consistency in you so He can bring His consistent blessing and faithfulness to you. It’s how He is fulling His purpose for you! He promised! Love you all, dad
