Love you all, praying for you.
Sometimes what is recorded in God’s Word – is not true. Never is God’s Word not true, but God’s Word also records the words and deeds of men – as well as of God. Chapters in Job where his worthless friends talking of their own wisdom – yet God rebuked them – “They have not spoken of me what is right.” Praise God for His Holy Spirit! – Praying that you will not only receive the Holy Spirit – but walk in Him, pray in the Spirit – and humbly submit your life, and thoughts and mind – to His leading. John 16:13 - The Holy Spirit is the One who leads us in all truth. The Holy Spirit is how we understand truth. Just like you can do PiVAT and PRISM with your mind – your natural understanding, or you can do PiVAT and PRISM by the Holy Spirit of God – leading you in His understanding. Every time you do PRISM - ask the Holy Spirit to lead you in all truth. Be sure – this is the will of God, and He will surely do it. Humility required. Humility and the Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. Here’s what Solomon said. Ecclesiastes 1:18 – For with much wisdom comes much sorrow, the more knowledge, the more grief. That’s an interesting perspective – of a man that walked not – in the wisdom God gave him. First if you as Solomon “applied yourself to the understanding of wisdom, and the understanding of madness and folly” then you lack wisdom – or at the very least are not choosing to walk in it. Wisdom says - turn from evil. All He had to do was read what his Father David wrote – and He would have known the heart of God. Psalm 34:14 – Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. (it didn't say seek madness and folly and pursue it - there's a lot of madness and folly out there to pursue. And Solomon did.) Even the Proverbs that Solomon wrote, the wisdom that God gave him said: Proverbs 8:13 - The fear of the LORD is to turn from evil. Have nothing to do with even the appearance of it. Not apply yourself to the understanding of it. Solomon lacked obedience. So he says, the more knowledge the more grief. It depends on what that knowledge is of... When Adam ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil – he got more knowledge - but it brought grief and destruction. Knowledge of God never brings grief (except over the sins of men). Knowledge of God, His Love, His Mercy, His Forgiveness – brings joy! The more knowledge of God you have – the more joy. He makes us full of Joy in His presence. If more knowledge means more grief, then when we see Him face to face, when we "know as we are fully known" – then heaven would be a place of grief. But there is no grief or sorrow in heaven, He wipes every tear from their eyes. What knowledge are you pursuing? And what knowledge are you avoiding? Are you pursuing the knowledge of God, the wisdom of God, or the knowledge and wisdom of men and all that sin has contaminated? There is a wisdom that is not from God. I Corinthians 3:19 – for the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight… Paul’s preaching didn’t come by human wisdom – I Corinthians 2:15 – so your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. If God said "Above all else, get wisdom." – It’s not so we would grow in grief… but into His likeness and there is always joy that comes in His presence. Solomon’s wisdom, wasn't his lifestyle. Solomon was a disobeyer, He chose not to walk in the wisdom God gave him. So in the end he was deceived and disillusioned. He loved foreign women more than He loved God – they led him astray – and all Israel with him. Solomon’s disobedience led to the exile of Israel from the promised land. If only Solomon had obeyed the Word of God through His father David. Psalm 37:3 - Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and truly you shall be fed. Praying for you – that you will pursue good - the knowledge of God. Praying that you will not be discouraged by disobeyers like Solomon, and the things they do or say. Praying that you will ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth (in your PRISM time) to reveal the truth of His Word, not man’s interpretation. Praying that you would obey immediately before you even have a chance to consider otherwise. Praying for you - that you would never be discouraged by disobeyers – but Walk Daily with an obeyer – overcoming by the word of your testimony – and growing in the joy that the wisdom of God brings. Love you all, dad
