Love you all, praying for you.
Have you ever worked with a dull axe? It’s exhausting. I just love how absolutely practical the Word and Will of God is. He doesn’t just speak in parables – to stretch our understanding, He also speaks directly and specifically – giving us just what to do – to succeed. God reminding me recently – Ecclesiastes 10:10 – If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened more strength is needed; but skill will bring success. Hmm. Maybe I don’t need more strength, maybe I need sharpening… What sharpens you? What gives you an edge? The extreme border or point of any thing – particularly a sharp border – the thin cutting extremity of an instrument – which cuts or penetrates – the edge of the sword. Sharpness of mind or appetite, keenness, intenseness of desire. Sharpen – to make sharp – to give a keen edge or sharp point to a thing. It helps you be incisive – the second half of diligence – that precious possession of a person - having the quality or cutting or separating the superficial part of any thing. Praying that you will review the PRISM Topic – Diligent. So what sharpens you? What makes what you are doing effective? If skill brings success – what is the most important skill? Discernment. Without it – you are spending time and strength on the wrong thing – that which doesn’t produce anything – or doesn’t produce what you really want or need – or produces a fraction of what could be. In business they call it the 80/20 rule – most people spend 80% of their time on what only brings 20% of the result. So how do you develop discernment? What sharpens you? PiVAT will sharpen you – It ensures you don’t spend time and strength on the wrong thing. It sharpens your edge to God’s will for you, not your own – so you are effective with the limited commodity of time. It also ensures that the time required to develop other needed skills for success in your purpose in life are allocated and executed being apportioned at God’s direction – who teaches you what is best for you – and shows you the way you should go. PRISM helps you understand what God told you – and makes you effective in the doing of it! It’s sharpening for your axe! Your Daily Call sharpens you – every morning - God’s command and design for success – it’s overcoming on a daily basis. Hebrews 3:13. What skill for success is most vital? Discernment. God gives it. It prevents you from a life of wasted effort, mis-focus, even deceptive and empty dreams and desires. The skills of asking what God has planned for you today and this week, and hearing the best manner in which to accomplish them with the testimony that overcomes the enemy… these skills make way and room for every other skill you need, built in God’s timing and time frame. Praying that PiVAT, PRISM, 4C’s and your Daily Call – are your lifelong habit – so your axe will always be sharp - so your strength produces the results and the fruit that God has already prepared beforehand for you to walk in!
