Daily Huddle - Mon  Feb 11, 2019   Wholeheartedly

Love you all, praying for you.

Praise God He was faithful yesterday.  Establishing the future.  Today I am at my parents, helping Dad learn PRISM first thing every morning.  I have a documentation project this afternoon.  And I think our event was cancelled this evening.

So thankful for what God wants us to learn through the example of someone in the Bible, recorded for our benefit.

Deuteronomy 1:36 - Except Caleb, son of Jephunneh, he will see it, and I will give him and his descendants the land he set his feet on, because he followed the LORD wholeheartedly.

But what did Caleb do to follow the LORD wholeheartedly?     He did nothing different than the other 10 spies… They went on the same trip, he traveled the same journey as they did, brought back the same grapes they did…

But what he said – was different.  When the 10 spies gave a unanimous report of fear, doubt  and unbelief…

Numbers 13:30  Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”

Faith is always saying something different.  Something different than the crowd.  Something different in the face of reality.

They said, “She’s already dead.”  Jesus said, “She’s only sleeping.”

They said, “Pharoah’s army is going to kill us!”  Moses said, “Stand still and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today.  The Egyptians you see today, you will never see again.”

They said, “There are Giants there!”  Caleb said, “We can certainly do it!”

Faith always says something different.   Wholeheartedly is not years of labor, sweat and effort… Wholeheartedly is the whole of what’s in your heart.  And your words reveal it.

Your words always reveal what’s in your heart.

Everywhere Caleb walked in Canaan, he received possession of it.  And so did his descendants.

What you say determines what you get.  And not only you… what you say today can impact your family for generations.   (What you say determines what your descendants get.)

Praying that you will use your words to fill your heart with faith.  Speak it constantly.

Let your words bring an inheritance for your children and your children’s children.

Praying for you, that God will increase your mouth with words of faith.  That you would follow the LORD wholeheartedly like Caleb.   So you will walk in your inheritance.

Love you all,
dad
