Love you all, praying for you.
God prompting me about friends... Proverbs 27:6 Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses. Do you have any friends? Are all your friends obeyers? If not, why? Do you have a friend who will wound you if you are sinning or falling short of God’s best? Or do you just hang out with kissers? False friends, pleasure seekers. When a true friend does wound you, what is your response? Excuses? Defensiveness? Apathy? Or Humility, Seeking God, and Immediate Obedience? When was the last time you got wounded? (by a faithful friend) Do you have no friends? Or have your excuses, defensiveness and apathy discouraged them from saying anything… (why bother?) Ask a friend (an obeyer) for honest feedback. “Am I missing anything? Any blind spot in my life I’m not seeing?” Give them permission to speak into your life. God would you give me friends that will wound. Give me humility, a heart to seek you on it, and a commitment to obey no matter what! In Jesus’ Name. I did this today. No better time to obey than immediately. Got some feedback that I’m praying about. Praying that you will walk closely enough with someone who knows you enough and walks with God enough to speak wisdom in you, and you in them. Love you all, dad
