Love you all, praying for you.
This is such a good reminder. Psalm 105:43 He brought out His people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy; he gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for – that they might keep his precepts and observe His laws. It’s interesting – we focus on the rejoicing, the deliverance and the shouts of joy, the lands He gives, cities that we didn’t build and vineyards we didn’t plant. But we forget there is a purpose in what God does and what He gives – an expectation. That they might keep His precepts - obey His Word, follow His principles. The reasonable response to the abundant goodness of God is obedience. All of His laws and precepts are not self serving, they are us-serving, us-helping. Praying that you will remember what He has done – not just for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – but for you! That you would remember what He has done for you – that you will keep his precepts and obey His Word - for His glory, and for your good. Praying that you will ask God – even in hectic days – what Word can I obey right now? He will tell you. Do it. There is always a reward in obedience. Love you all, dad
