So how do you move from mess and stress to order and peace? Like really. Not just a yo-yo diet, but a real life-change.
First you need a Revelation
Then you need a Decision
Then you need a Vision
Then you need a Habit.
The watershed moment for me was when God led me to a video that He wanted to use to bring me it my revelation. If anything is every going to change in any area of your life, you will need your own – “Ole Miss Moment.”
When you get 5 minutes of uninterrupted time. Take a look.

Mess and Stress – steal your blessing. It’s the devil’s plan for you, not God’s
You will never change until you change your mind. A decision, a commitment, with your own mouth, out loud, to someone. Get it on record. (Understanding: What does a different habit look like? What does change look like? What is the nail that hangs the new picture?)
An Ordered Life that pleases God, that God can bless. (Vision is a preferred end. What is the preferred end-state? Order that pleases God, that God can Bless. Order is every surface clean – Every Item in a room in it’s proper place – when you leave a room, and when you enter a room.
Leave and Enter – Every Surface Clean. (Don’t leave a room until every surface is clean. If it’s not a decoration, it doesn’t belong there. Put it where God told you it belongs. If you don’t know, ask Him. When you enter a room – don’t do anything else until every surface is clean. Leave and Enter – Every Surface Clean.
In the end… Habit prevails where motivation fails. Also. There needs to be some teeth.
And there needs to be a Tim Tebow. For us the teeth was, no car leaves the driveway, until “every surface clean.” And the Tim Tebow? Ultimately, it’s my responsibility. Husbands, it’s on you.
What is your jurisdiction? If you are just a kid – it might be just your room, if you have a house – it’s on you. If you own a company… it's on you.
There will always be the first moment of truth. For Tim Tebow – the very next day was the most intense practice they ever had. You will always have that moment of truth.
When you get up to leave. Look around. Do it! When you enter the next room, before you sit down, or make a sandwich, or turn on the TV – Do it! Leave and Enter - Every Surface Clean.
Honor God. See what He can do! – to help you form just that one little habit. Leave and Enter – Every Surface Clean.
Finally, what will the devil do? Now that God is about to bring you freedom. It’s worth knowing your enemy’s plan, so you can guard against it.
