Love you all, praying for you.
Praise God for Proverbs! The Book of Wisdom! He gives it – to anyone who will seek it! Can you imagine if you didn’t have it? Being stupid isn’t fun - it costs too much! If you are faithful in PRISM, you will be faithful in wisdom – the right use of knowledge. It will take root in you. You will be wiser than your elders, the traps of the enemy will have no effect on you. You'll see them coming a mile away. God showed me something recently about how to apply wisdom – through Proverbs. Proverbs 6:10-19 There are six things the LORD hates; seven that are detestable to Him. Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness that pours out lies, and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers. No one I know would actually set out to do these things. Before you practice evil, you fall into it, unawares. It’s hard to avoid things God hates – it’s better to pursue things God loves. Pursue the opposite of what He hates, and you won't fall into anything, you will be moving further and further from what is detestable to Him. You’ll be walking in the things He delights in! So when God reminded me, don’t try to avoid what I hate, instead pursue the opposite. I asked Him, what that would look like? Seven Things God Loves! #1) Humble eyes – how you view yourself and how you view others. See yourself as less, take the low place. It’s not poor self-esteem, it's just that if you have humble eyes you see God as the highest and you see others as higher than you - so you are willing to wash their feet like Jesus did. #2) A tongue that speaks the truth. PRISM out Loud! Get that Word in you. Speak it always – Out Loud! Then anything other than truth - that would ever try to come out of your mouth would sound funny, feel funny, awkward – out of place. #3) Hands that protect the innocent. Stand up for those who have no voice, who cannot stand for themselves. Speak up. Do what God tells you to do. #4) A Surrendered Heart. His Thing, His Way, His Time. Don’t make plans… seek plans… His plans for you. PiVAT before dinner, PiVAT Weekly, PiVAT Monthly. You’ll never devise wicked schemes if you are only seeking His plans for you. And they are so good! #5) Feet that rush to good. Hands and feet that bow and praise and serve – at the time and place God tells you. #6) A Faithful Witness that pours out testimony of who God is, what He says, and what He does – that encourages God’s Word and His life in people – that builds them up – believes in them – and speaks not what they are, but what they will be - by His Grace. #7) A man who promotes unity – who always looks for the good, who seeks to find agreement - when others promote division, who overlooks faults and promotes love, and encourages others to do so as well – who believes the best in people and trusts God with the rest. Praying that you will be humble, speak truth, protect the innocent, fully surrender to His plans, be full of testimony as a faithful witness, and encourage unity – where others sow division. So that not only will you never fall into what God hates, but you will always pursue what God loves. So His love can be seen by others – when they look at you. And they are looking, you just don’t realize how much… Love you all, dad
