Love you all, praying for you.
Today preparing to leave next week. Please pray that we would be faithful and fruitful in every conversation. That we would be especially respondent to the Holy Spirit during a week outside our normal environment. God was showing me. Proverbs 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you. God told me – perfect peace is not just a feeling. It’s a status of relationship. To be in perfect peace is not just a feeling inside you (your mental state, your self-esteem) it’s a description of a state of being, a relationship status, the status of your relationship with God. When you are at peace, it means you are walking in obedience in the center of His will for you. (Nothing in between you.) If you are sinning, (regarding sin in your heart), you are not at peace with God and therefore not at peace within yourself. Sin separates you from Him. It affects your relationship. So staying your mind on Him, not only helps you feel better about yourself, it actually prevents you from falling into things that would come between you and God. So how do you keep your mind stayed on him? With your mouth! It’s hard to think of something else when you are saying something. Your mouth regulates your mind. It occupies it. That’s why David was always speaking with his mouth: How awesome God is, what God has done, and what he was going to do to fully obey Him. So if your mouth is stayed on Him, your mind is stayed on Him. You are at peace and you are filled with peace. Your mouth is a weapon, use it daily! Stay your mouth on Him and you will stay your mind on Him. Leave no room for your mouth to be occupied with anything else, and your mind will not be occupied with anything else. It will be stayed, fixed on Him. His Word of truth will fill your heart through your mouth! Staying your mind on Him with your words will evict any sin trying to get a foothold that could hinder the peace of God. So His peace can rule and reign in your heart. Praying for you that God would keep you in the habit of filling your heart with His Word – with your mouth! It’s a key to your victory. Love you, dad
