Love you all, praying for you,

Have you ever noticed that God’s Word can be upsetting, unnerving, even offensive to some, misunderstood by them and others.  We tend to judge what God says by what we believe, rather than judge what we believe by what God says.  We measure God’s opinions by our opinions.  But God doesn’t have opinions.  He has laws and precepts that are to be fully obeyed.  It doesn’t matter what my opinion is – His Word is truth.  He has principles of success, truth that exposes what is false.  Never in Scripture did God say – “If you want my opinion… that’s what I would do.”  God doesn’t say that because He knows truth – He is truth.  He knows what is right and what is wrong, what is right and what seems right, what is right and what is not.  He knows the best way, and the best way for you.  And He will tell you if you ask Him and seek Him.  He doesn’t have opinions.  His thoughts are good, His word is good.   You only have an opinion when you don’t know for sure, when your experience isn’t the sum total of reality.  God holds all of reality and time in the palm of His hand.  There is nothing that He doesn’t know for sure.  He is the God of all wisdom, the Author of it.  Psalm 1:1 – Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked.  What does ‘walk in the counsel’ mean.  It means to believe like they do, to think like they do, and therefore to judge others by the measures they use, and act in the same manner that they do.  Who?  The wicked.   are the wicked?  Those who reject God and His Holy Word.  God calls them the wicked.  God says blessed is the man who does not think and say and act like the wicked.  Or stand in the path that sinners travel, or sit in the same place where mockers sit.  Those who accuse, disbelieve God, either that He exists, or that He’s good, or that He is right at all times.  Who disdain those He has placed in authority, and call truth a lie, and call lies the truth.  Instead the man who is blessed – his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on is law he meditates day and night.  You walk in the counsel of those you sit under.  If your input is coming from the wicked, those who deny God, or reject what He says, then what they say – you will say, and believe and do.  That’s how evil is justified, a false righteousness.  But God says woe (sudden and utter destruction) to those who call good evil and evil good.  This is the day we live in.  God is telling us the only way to not walk in the counsel of the wicked, the only way not to be deceived, misled, confused, and zealous without knowledge, is to meditate on God’s Word, His promises, His principles and His precepts.  Praying that you will come back to PRISM today like your life depends on in, like your blessing depends on it.  It does.

Love you all,
dad
