Love you all, praying for you.
Got crazy Revelation this morning, Seriously, God dumping on me plans and details of plans that He wants me to do this week. I was writing as fast as I could. Things I’ve never thought of before. Practical specific steps to take. Crazy. That’s why in my Conversation Log, I have PiVAT the first page of the day, then a Conv (Conversation Page) and then my PRISM page. Because God often will speak in your spirit before you even have a chance to start PRISM for the day with Praise the Word. Praise God for a day of rest, have some things He told me to do today, and we will also likely be at Revive tonight for Alex’s Ordination. Praise God. Psalm 61:5 For you have heard my vows, O God, you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. Heard. Shama <Shaw-maw> To hear intelligently, attentively, responsively, (with predisposition to act). God turns his ear and his face towards us with full intention to do good for us. What kind of God does that? The One and Only True and Holy God – who loves you like a Father delights in his children! Vows. A promise to God. I have always avoided vows to God. Because I read some of the foolish and rash vows people made to God in the Bible. Like the guy who promised to dedicate to God the first thing that walked out of his house. What was he thinking? Eccl 5:4-5 When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. For God takes no pleasure in fools. Fulfill your vow. It is better not to take a vow, than to make one and not keep it. I like the NLT. It is better to say nothing, than to make a promise and not keep it. So that’s why I never promised anything. But God reminded me of something. Our salvation is a vow to God. If you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and you confessed him as LORD, that means you promised to follow where He leads. I love the video we saw years ago. A little boy, quite perturbed with an older sister who was reminding him to obey… he turned to her with attitude all over his face, “you-not-the-boss-a-me!” Well actually… He is. “Jesus is LORD” means He is the boss of me. But the truth is - that is the most joyful journey ever! Jesus said, “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” It is so true. He’s the Shepherd that leads us to green pastures, beside still waters. Why wouldn’t you want him to the boss-a-you? If you really want success, let him lead. You’ll walk in it. Look at what Psalm 61 says: There is a heritage for those who fear the LORD. (who turn instantly from evil, tremble in His presence, fully obey, say nothing harmful, seek peace and pursue it. This is the fear of the LORD. ) Heritage – yrushhah <yer-oosh-shaw> Something occupied, inheritance, possession. There is a heritage for those who fear the LORD. A territory to occupy, both natural and spiritual. God gives it to you now. Something to occupy, a jurisdiction, something you are assigned to, appointed to, to walk in, to steward, to cultivate, to joyfully live in, to be productive in, to bring forth fruit in. Praying for you, that God would teach you the fear of the LORD, that you would know your territory, your heritage from the LORD, that it would be set in order, that you would thrive in it, and that God would lead you there, to produce fruit that lasts. Love you all, dad
