Love you all, praying for you.

There is an important question when it comes to obeying God.  What are you willing to change?  Which leads to another question.  What are you not willing to change?  One of the foundational principles of the Truth and Love of God.  He is good and He has good for you.  See the PRISM Topic – God has good for you.  This is important to rehearse in your mind – the truth about Him – and what He thinks and has for you.  Who would want to obey someone they don’t trust – or who doesn't have their best interest at heart?  God is good and He has good for you.  He created you for good things! He promised and He is not like man – that He should lie.  So if God is good, and has good for you…  To lead you in good, He will lead you in change.  Some people never change.  Why not?  #1) Because they don’t know they need to, they’re ignorant.  They’ve never asked themselves or God or anyone else what change might be needed in their life.  So they don't change - they stay on the course they're on - which leads to the same results.  #2)  They don’t believe they need to change – the Holy Spirit prompted them with a change needed, maybe even through someone else, maybe just had an inner feeling that they needed to - but they didn’t because they didn’t really believe it was God, or was really necessary.  And #3) They don’t want to.  Some know they need to change, God has told them through His Holy Spirit, through His Word – and through others… but they don’t change – because they just don’t want to.  They like what they are doing better than what God is prompting them to do.  They like their ways better than God’s ways – the root is pride.  That’s why God is against them – He always opposes the proud – but gives grace to the humble.  Its funny we always want God’s good, but we don’t always want His ways.  It means I might have to change something.  So what are you willing to change?  And what are you not willing to change.  God already knows your heart – you might as well be honest with yourself.  Is it a relationship that leads you away from God and His ways?  Is it a habit or an activity that leads you to carnal desires – not the Holiness that God has called you to - where his blessing can flow in your life?  Is it a step of obedience or a habit that the Holy Spirit has told you to begin – but you might have to get up earlier, or sacrifice some discretionary time – that you would rather just chill – or do something else?  What is it that you are willing to change?  And what are you not willing to change?  For God to lead you in good – He will lead you in change.  Every day you walk in the Spirit – He is changing you into the likeness of Jesus – the image of Him.  The pre-requisite of change is humility.  If you’re not humble, you won’t change.  David said, I have inclined my heart to obey your word.  He’s basically saying to God – whatever change you want – I’m going to do it.  How do get good at changing – when God leads you in change? - So He can lead you to Good! How do you even know change is needed?  #1) You need to Ask God.  He loves you – He’ll tell you.  And #2) you need to get good at changing.  It starts with little things.  PRISM – soaking in God’s Word – so He can reveal and so you can understand the changes needed.  PiVAT – so you know the changes He has for you every day - so when He tells you what He wants you to do for tomorrow – you develop the habit of changing your plans – and adopting His.  And your Daily Call - Hebrews 3:13 – it’s what locks in your habit of change, that habit of obedience to whatever God prompts you to do – for His glory and your good.  Praying that you will ask God what change is needed in your life.  That you will decide like David – no matter what He says – I will do.  And praying that your daily habits of PiVAT, PRISM and your Daily Call – have you changing every day – from your plans to His – so He can change you for Good!

Love you all,
dad
