Love you all, praying for you.
Praise God. He was so faithful this trip. Safety, the cheapest gas along the way, twice. And since God isn’t’ running short on gas money, we would even have praised Him for expensive gas, I think He just does it to bless us). Non-drivers got sleep, beautiful weather. Praise God it’s just like Him. I remember as a little boy, being in church where my Grandpa preached every Sunday morning, every Sunday night, and every Wednesday night. He would always end every service with the same blessing. He got it from this passage: Numbers 6:23-27 Tell Aaron and his sons, “This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them, ‘The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you, and give you peace.’ So shall you put my Name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.” David prayed this blessing too. Psalm 67:1-2 May the LORD be gracious to us, and bless us, and make His face shine upon us, that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. God, through David… revealed the purpose for this blessing on His people. It was never just for us! That YOUR ways may be known on earth. God’s ways were perfectly demonstrated through Jesus. He only obeyed. That’s all He ever did. That’s how we know God’s ways, what they look like, through Jesus’ example. When we walk in God’s ways, not man’s ways, when we obey like Jesus did, God’s blessing is poured out on us, people notice. Not just the stuff, but the joy, the peace, the love, the hope, and all the other blessing, yes… But God’s blessing is so His Ways – the way He wants His children to live – will be known throughout the earth. Praying for you this week, that just as Jesus knew His Father’s plans for him and followed them completely, so you too would know your Heavenly Father’s plans for you, follow them completely, so His blessing would rest on you, that others would see it… Praying that you could share with them, and His ways would be known by them too. It reminded me, my obedience is not for my blessing. My obedience is so I can disciple others to obey also, so many will be blessed. Disobedience delays discipleship – because it delays blessing in your life – which God meant for a testimony to others. Praying that you would be encouraged in your obedience this week. Praying that you will Ask, Hear, and Obey (even the little things – especially the little things) – It will impact nations and generations! Love you all, dad
