Love you all, praying for you,

I just love God’s Word – it tells you what is most important.  God says above all else get wisdom.  I just love that wisdom book – the “I:” of PRISM – Insight from the Word.  That chapter you need every day of this month – one for each one.  In Proverbs Chapter One – Wisdom sets the groundwork.  The first five verses set the foundation.  First it tell you what.  This book is for attaining wisdom, discipline and understanding, acquiring a disciplined and prudent life.  Who – this book was written for the young – you especially need wisdom if you are young.  You don’t have the experience yet, and wisdom will save you from mistakes that can cost you greatly, even cost you your life.  This book is second for the simple.  Just because you are old, doesn’t mean you have wisdom, if you have been filled with what is falsely considered wisdom, the wisdom of the world, what seems wise, but is not, God laughs at it… you are old, but still simple – meaning – lacking in wisdom.  And finally this book is written for the wise, those who have wisdom and discernment but now need more.  The wise always add to their learning, if they stop, they are no longer the wise.  So what and who, next it says why – verse 3 – “to do” what is right and just and fair.  That’s the purpose – so you act in a way, conduct yourself in such a way, and build your life upon what God can bless!  It requires wisdom.  So what this is, who it’s for, why do you need it,  and how do you get it..  Proverbs 1:5 - Let the wise listen, and add to their learning and let the discerning (listen – and) get guidance.  You were young, you were simple, but now you are beginning to grow in wisdom.   You can tell the difference between true and false, right and wrong, good and evil, truth versus deception, God’s wisdom versus man’s false wisdom.  What is considered wisdom by men, but is not…  Now you need guidance for your discernment.  That means now that you recognize the difference, what is the first and next step to navigate it, so you walk in true wisdom… The best way to live a life of wisdom, and communicate with others in the most effective way possible, that yields the most fruitful result.  And after setting the table of what this is - wisdom, who it’s for – the young the simple and the wise, why you need it – to do what is right and just and fair, and how you get it – listen – so you add to your wisdom, and so you get God’s step by step guidance in it…  then it says the foundation of wisdom.  After setting the table, the first course of the meal is… after the introduction, this is the first step of instruction.  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.  It clarifies between the wise, and those who are not.  The wise value wisdom and discipline, the foolish do not value it, they place little value on it, they despise it, they see it as of little use, or priority.  That first step, the beginning of everything – The fear of the LORD.  Praying that God will teach you the fear of the LORD, that He will give you an undivided heart to fear His Name.  That he will teach you how to listen, so you can add to your learning, your wisdom and knowledge, and get his guidance in walking it out.  That you would always be in the right place to listen – and that place is always close to him, close to his heart, in Worship and His Word.  That proximity would be your priority so you can add to your wisdom, so you will leave every simple way behind you and walk in the ways that bring the best of all the Good that God has stored up for those who fear Him.

Love you all,
dad
