Love you all, praying for you!
Can’t help thinking about today. Within hours, Jesus would be arrested. And everyone would scatter. Not a solitary person to defend him, or stand with him, or stand beside him. What happened to His disciples? Those guys who all said they would stay with him to the death! Who said they could drink the cup he would drink? Where were all his brothers and sisters? Where were all those whom he healed, and healed their children? Where were those he taught every Sabbath whose lives were so changed by his teaching? Where were the twenty thousand that came to hear him preach and saw him feed every one of them with a little boy’s lunchbox? Where were they? He faced utter brutality, pure hatred, full jealousy, complete hypocrisy, the full evil of what the heart of man can imagine. The overwhelming injustice of it! And he faced it alone. His closest friends forsook him and denied him. No one stood with him. And in the end – even His Father in Heaven would turn his face on our sin which was fully on him. What a price your sin cost him. Isaiah 53:5 - But He was pierced for our rebellion, he was crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. - What kind of love is this? Praying for you today. That we would remember the price He paid, that our sin cost. This amazing love. How can it be, that you my King would die for me. Praying that all of our lives will honor the one who was rejected – so we could forever be accepted. Love you all, dad
