Daily Huddle - Thu  Apr 4, 2019       Old Woman or Young Girl

Love you all, praying for you.

Praise God.  PRISM is so powerful.  It still amazes me.  That God would speak to us?  Why?  He owes us nothing, but gives us everything.  Jon, on our Daily Call this morning…  “He’s such a Good Dad.”  So very true.

Have you ever seen that picture where you have to look twice?  It’s a picture of an old woman, but if you look again, it’s a picture of a young girl…  God’s Word is often like that.  Look twice.  There are often two sides of the coin.  Often a Spiritual Application along with a natural one.  God often parallels the Spiritual and the natural.

Proverbs 3:3  Let Love and faithfulness never leave you, bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

There are two truths here… Your love and faithfulness to God, and His love and faithfulness to you.    God is love.  And God is faithful.  But we also… are to love, and we are to be faithful.   Regarding us…  What is love?   Obedience.   (overwhelmingly stated in Scripture – see Relationship Topic:  Love Is Obey)   What is faithfulness?  (continued obeying)   Faithful:  Constant in the performance of duties or services; exact in attending to commands; as a faithful servant.

So love is obey.  (Obeying His commands for us and to us) And faithfulness is to continue in it.  And how do you let these… (your love and your faithfulness) never leave you?  Bind them around your neck.  (keep them with you)   So His commands from His Word – take them with you… (Your Bible, iphone-you version, PRISM Topic for today – keep them with you!)  And His commands to your personally… (PiVAT – what God told you to do today – keep it with you!  Check in with Him throughout the day – Come back to His Word throughout the day.

This is – “binding it around your neck.”  Keeping it always in front of you.  But what about writing it on the tablet of your heart? You do this by speaking these out loud!  That’s how. Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks… but first you must use your words to fill your heart (or “write these on the tablet of your heart” – with your mouth!  It’s  the pen that writes on the heart.)   Speak your PiVAT and PRISM out loud.  Put it in your heart.   Ps 57:7 - My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast.  David was speaking to God, but speaking to his own heart.   “I will always have hope, I will always obey, show me what to do and I will do it with all my heart, I will obey your instructions forever.”   This is what David said, He was always speaking out loud – his love and faithfulness.  His commitment to obey and continue obeying.  He was writing his love and faithfulness on the tablet of his heart.

So that’s the old woman of the picture – OUR love and faithfulness.   Then, what is the young woman?  God’s love and faithfulness.   God is Love and God is Faithfulness.  He said He would never leave us nor forsake us.   So… how do we do that verse - Let God's Love and Faithfulness never leave you?

Psalm 92:1-2  It is good to praise the LORD and make music to Your Name, O Most High, to proclaim your Love in the morning and your Faithfulness at night.

Proclaim His love in the morning and His faithfulness at night! God’s love, the word is Chesed <kheh-sed> love, loving kindness, tender mercy.  His (Love) mercies – are new every morning – so declare it every morning.  That’s how you let love and faithfulness never leave you.   A great way to do this is to start each day, each morning with The Fear Of The LORD.   (see the Fear of the LORD Packet – PRISM Topic – 8 Things to Fear God Right Now)   #3  Let them that Fear the LORD say,  “His love endures forever.”   This is proclaiming His Love in the morning… letting His love never leave you… writing it on the tablet of your heart.

And His faithfulness at night?   Our faithfulness to God is to continue obeying…  His faithfulness to us – is continuing to love, to bless, to show mercy, to show good to us.   So at the end of the day before you go to bed…  Finish your PiVAT – T: Testimony for the day.  (what God DID, and what God REVEALED from your PRISM time in His Word)   Declare your Testimony out loud before you go to bed.  What God DID and what God REVEALED today.  This is “declaring His Faithfulness at night.”

Praying for you all – that God would reveal to you both the Spiritual and the natural truths from His Word.   That you would be faithful to keep PiVAT and PRISM with you – all day long and every day of your life  (What He told you – PiVAT,  and what he showed you – PRISM)   That you would proclaim His Love every morning, and His Faithfulness every night.  – So you will overcome the enemy, So you will walk in victory, and in the absolute joy of the LORD!

Love you all,
dad
