Love you all, praying for you.
One of my earliest childhood memories... My older brother – started school. That made him about five years old, which made me about three. It was quite a life change for me. My best friend, my best buddy, the one I hung out with all day long - was now gone – and I was alone. I think he started with half day Kindergarten, and I remember every day looking out the curtains at the window – just waiting for the school bus to come down the street, bringing him home – so we could play with our toys – like we always did before. I even had a little song I sang over and over - as I was waiting for him. Some kids experience this when their oldest brother or sister leaves for college. Their room so loudly empty, and there’s just a huge hole in the family. Or like the Father of the Prodigal, who every day would wait – gazing down the road, straining to see as far as he could… hoping that this might be the day that he would see his son… coming down the road – walking towards home. So what are you waiting for? Psalms 119:123 – David says, “My eyes fail looking for your salvation, looking for your righteous promise. Deal with your servant according to your love and teach me your decrees. David wasn’t going blind, he was using the expression to describe his constant consuming habit – his hearts desire. He was always looking for God – to see what He would do – to save and deliver. His hope was completely in Him. His attention focused on Him, to see things He was doing – it was what he longed for. He was consumed with seeing the places and the times and the testimonies of God fulfilling His promises. He wasn’t looking for other things – His focus had become singular. And he asked God – God when you deal with me, when you interact with me, please treat me according to your love – not according to what I deserve. He said – deal with your servant. He was telling God and himself – I am committed for life to serving you – to attend to you at your command. He said I am committed for life – to do whatever you command me, wherever you send me, whatever you choose to assign me, whatever you want me to do… I will do it. I am and I remain – your servant. So please teach me your decrees. Help me to hear your voice, help me to understand clearly – your instructions for me; your assignments for me, your commands, your directions, your marching orders. Teach me, help me hear you, so I will follow your plans, and fulfill the purpose you have for me. Praying that every day you get his plans through PiVAT before dinner. It’s how you wait for Him at the window... to see what He will reveal for you every day. As He transforms your mind, through PRISM – confirming his instructions and His great love for you; as you overcome daily with another on your Daily Call, and as you meet weekly with others in your PiVAT Small Group – to hear the testimonies of His salvation, and His deliverance – of His promises fulfilled; and as you give an account every day with your 4C's Tool – so you hear his voice and see in every penny that comes and goes – His faithfulness, His salvation, His promise, and His provision. Praying that your joy would be full! Praying that you would be always looking for His salvation and His promise - waiting at his door – just waiting, ready to run with the next assignment he has for you – and fully content to stay when He says – "Just rest here with me, in My presence, where My love fills you, My protection surrounds you, and My peace remains. Love you all, dad
