Daily Huddle - Thu  Feb 28, 2019   Two Voices (Part 2)

Love you all, praying for you.

What are you saying?  That’s the voice you are believing.

Deuteronomy 1:34-36 - When the LORD heard what you said, he was angry and solemnly swore, “Not a man of this evil generation shall see the good land I swore to give your forefathers.”  Except Caleb… He will see it…

What made God angry? -  what they said. What made them evil? (this evil generation) – what they said.  What you say is very, very important.  Because it becomes what you believe and what you do.    So when you hear those two voices.  What do you say?  God hears what you say.

God heard what the Centurian said, and his servant was healed from that very hour.  God heard what the Israelites said, and every one of them died in the desert.  Faith pleases God, it comes out of your mouth.  Unbelief displeases God, it comes out of your mouth.

Why did the Israelites say what they said?  Because they did not make a habit to pattern their lips in praise and faith.  “The horse and rider He has thrown into the sea!”

What if their lips had repeated and repeated and repeated the Praise and Glory of God continually for the last months -  since the day God brought them through the Red Sea.  The testimony of Who He is, and What He Did!  His might acts!    Even the unfaithful report wouldn’t have swayed them.    “What’s wrong with you spies?  A couple of giants?  Our God just destroyed the entire army of the most powerful nation on earth!!  And you are worried about a silly wall?  Sit down and shut up.  Every wall and every giant He will throw into the sea – just like Pharoah’s army.

Why didn’t they say that when the unbelieving spies returned?   Because the last two months their mouths had been grumbling, doubting, and complaining, Instead of declaring, believing and praising!

If you do not establish a pattern for your words to fill your heart and build your faith, (before you need it) you will repeat and believe every report of unbelief (the wrong voice.)

Verse 28:  “Where can we go?  Our brothers have made us lose heart.  They say, ‘The people are stronger and taller than we are: their cities are large, with walls up to the sky.  We even saw the Anakites there.”

Where can we go?  The pillar of cloud and fire has led you every day since you crossed the Red Sea.  God brought you here and told you where to go---  Across the Jordan River!  “Go and take possession of the land I am giving you.”  That’s where you can go!    “Our brothers made us lose heart.”  What kind of brother is that?  You have chosen the wrong brother.  Whey do you call them brothers?  You should cut them off.     Come on, man.  No one makes you lose heart.  You choose what you say.  You don’t lose heart, what its full of – just comes out.   Is it faith or is it doubt.

“They say…”    So what!   Why are you listening to them?  (the other voice) you are listening to the wrong people (the wrong voice) and you do not reject their words – you foolishly repeat them.

Your heart is empty of faith because your words have filled it with doubt.   (Notice – what the other voice says – doesn’t fill your heart.  What you say fills your heart.)   “Walls up to the sky?”  Really?  How tall Is that?  If they can be measured, they don’t go up to the sky, that’s just stupid talk.    “We even saw the Anakites there.”  So what?  They are no where near Pharoah’s entire army.  When God strikes them with fear, they will become like dead men. Your mouth will preserve one voice or another.

Just so you know... Voices you repeat -  Voices you allow to remain - produce new giants  (Goliath was a descendant of the Anakites)   Don’t let the two voices keep talking.  God gave you a direct command. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.   Jesus demonstrated this when He was tempted by the devil in the wilderness.  “It is written, It is written, It is written.” His words repeated the Holy Spirit’s voice, and cast down the other voice.

Praying for all of you.  That your daily habit would be to pattern your mouth with praise and faith to fill your heart, so discernment between those two voices becomes easy.

Praying that with your own mouth, you would resist the devil, cast down the deceiver’s voice and repeat the Holy Spirit’s voice to fill your heart with praise, faith, belief, and obedience.  -  A single mind, a single heart, not double-minded and unstable in all your ways.

That’s what David did.  He always patterned his mouth to speak God’s voice and praise and faith.  And when he faced the voice of Goliath, his words literally said what God would do.  And moments later it happened.  He cut off Goliath’s head with his own sword.

Pattern your words.  Cast down the other voice, and repeat the Holy Spirit’s voice.  Fill your heart with praise and faith.  Then you will be crossing Jordan’s and occupying the inheritance that God has waiting for you in the natural and the spiritual.

Love you all,
dad
