Love you all, praying for you.
Hope you'll hang with me on this one, praying that it encourages you greatly! It’s almost laughable what God tells us to do. Because in reality – He is the one who does it. If God tells you to tithe – but He’s the one who gives you your job in the first place, protects it, give you grace and favor in it... Like David said in I Chronicles 29. What do we give to you – that didn’t come from your own hand? Everything God tells us to do – not only is it for His glory and our good, He gives the wisdom to know it, the grace to do it, and He watches over us - leads us and guides us in the doing it, and He adds Joy on top of it! Like the Judge that pronounces a sentence in court – as the defendant is standing there. $1000 dollar fine – that is the decision of the court. Case closed. Game over. But then the judge takes off his robe – comes down from behind the bench, stands next to the defendant, puts his arm around him – and says "Son, I love you," as he takes out his checkbook and writes out the check to the court – on his son’s behalf. That’s what God does for us. What would He ever ask us to do – that Jesus didn’t do first. This isn’t an impossible task. Whatever God tells you to do – He gives grace to want to, grace to do it, and overflowing joy to go with it. That’s our God! He’s not only Creator, Controller, and Judge – He’s our Heavenly Father – who loves you and can’t wait for the good He wants to bring you, and bring you to - it's a path! Psalms 119:2-3 - Blessed are they who keep His statutes, who seek after him with all their heart. They do nothing wrong, they walk in his ways. Blessed. The full goodness of God – dumped on you! Conditional – not everyone gets this, everyone who… Those are blessed who #1) Make His Presence their priority, - that's worship #2) Who Keep His Word - that's PRISM #3) Who Walk in His ways - that's PiVAT. These are the ones who worship as a habit. Praying that His presence is what you choose first. Start in the morning. You can easily youtube search "Live Worship and the year you live in, or last year. It will take you to worship sets for 20-30 minutes of those like Bethel, Upper Room, or others who are soaking in His presence. Praying that you’ll make His Presence your priority – that's how you learn to seek Him with your whole heart. Praying that you’ll choose worship before and above any other distraction or obligation of the day. His presence changes you because He inhabits the praises of His people. Praying that you will keep coming back to PRISM - those five things you can do each day in His Word – it's how you know HIs Word - so you can keep it - so you become just like Him. PRISM – will soak you in His character and His instructions for your success. The return on investment – is guaranteed, and eternal. And finally those that God blesses... #3) they are obeyers – they follow His ways, not theirs. Praying that your PiVAT before dinner – PiVAT Weekly and PiVAT Monthly before the week and month begins – will keep you walking in his ways. That’s why that verse says - "they do nothing wrong." Those people God blesses - they are so busy walking in His ways – they no longer have time for sin, or distractions they are consumed in the joy of obedience walking in the success that He brings - His abundance and His blessing! His Presence, PiVAT and PRISM – will position you to seek him with your whole heart, to keep his statutes, and to walk in His ways so His blessing falls on you. So what’s the lock and key? What locks you in? to that place where His blessing continues? Have you noticed many people start the year with New Year’s Resolutions? Research reveals that most New Years Resolutions have already come to an end before the end of the first month of the year. Why is that? Two reasons that New Years Resolutions don’t last – the source, and no lock and key - to keep them. Many times New Years Resolutions are man’s ideas rather than God’s direction. The motivation may be to get better – but motivation is rooted in motive. Often fleshly desires are the incubator of New Years Resolutions. It’s what we want to do, not necessarily what God told us to do. I want that better body – because I want to attract the opposite sex, or because so and so – looks hotter than me. Or I want to be more successful, because I want more money, because I want to buy this or that, or so and so has more money than me. Not always - but many New Years Resolutions come from a place of suspect motive. Wherever they originate – all resolutions that are not God-directed have limited chance of succeeding. Man’s way’s fade, God’s Way – remains. Have you noticed that the Bible never talks about New Years Resolutions. The only resolution the Bible teaches – is the resolution of David. "I have inclined my heart to do thy will!" God doesn’t give us resolutions for the new year. He gives us the plans that He has for us to walk in each day, week, month and year! Simple put - obedience puts you on the path to his blessing. - and He gives us the lock and key so (not resolutions) but simple obedience remains. The Lock and Key is two by two. It's found in Hebrews 3:13 - Exhort one other daily. Praying you will resolve like David to fully obey whatever He tells you – That your Daily Call – will be that lock and key that sustains far more than New Years Resolutions – but the daily overcoming that He has created for your success in everything He has called you to do. Praying that you’ll seek Him with your your whole heart – in worship. That you'll know his statutes in PRISM, that you will walk in his plans through PRISM and your overcoming testimony on your Daily Call will lock you in to the blessing He pours out on those who seek him with their whole heart, who keep his statutes, and who walk in His ways. Love you all, dad
