Love you all, praying for you.
Praise God – learning contentment in what He has for each day. God is moving. He wants to do things, even more than you want Him to do things. And what He does makes people stop and shake their heads. 2 Samuel 3:11 And the LORD said to Samuel: “See, I am about to do something in Israel that will make the ears of everyone who hears it tingle.” God was about to address wickedness. So if you have ever been grieved by the evil that is overwhelming this nation. Do not fear and do not doubt. God has a way of bringing wickedness to an end, and establishing His righteousness… If His people, called by His Name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways (any ways not directed by Him) THEN He will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. Yesterday God reminded me... Proverbs 13:4 The sluggard craves and gets nothing. But the desires of the righteous are fully satisfied. So are you craving or working? (a sluggard, or the diligent) Don’t be fooled, this is not a hard work lesson, this is a right desire lesson. The reason the sluggard craves and gets nothing is because his desires are lacking as much as his effort. But the righteous have righteous desires, because they diligently seek after the heart of God who conforms their desires to His will so He can be diligent to perform it. First be diligent in His presence and His Word, so your desires can be conformed to His. Let him form your desires so He can then reveal… what diligence looks like – in those desires that He has ordained for you. Then it’s just a matter of obeying the next step. The yoke that’s easy, and the burden that’s light. Desires not of Him, means you’re not the righteous, and those desires, even if satisfied – will not satisfy you. Why waste your life on desires and diligence that will never satisfy? One martyr famously said, "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose." Praying for you all, that you would desire His presence, His Word, His will – more than anything – an acquired taste, an acquired appetite, then a diligent habit, then a satisfied desire. Praying that you will get His desires, Get His diligence, and Take Joy in the Journey. Love you all, dad
