Daily Huddle - Thu  Mar 28, 2019    What Will Sharpen You?

Love you all, praying for you.

Praying that you will do PiVAT before dinner.  This is the key to living – as a living sacrifice.  This is what your enemy wants above anything else – to stop.   Because PiVAT before dinner – is God speaking to you every day the good things He has for you as you do them.   Because PiVAT before dinner is the lifelong habit, perspective, and position of surrender.  It’s how you present your body a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto Him, which is your reasonable act of service.  (Rom 12:1)   “I’ll surrender everything to God!  … except my day planner, I want to keep that myself.”  But… without surrendering that… are you really surrendering anything?

PiVAT before dinner helps you view tomorrow – already – through the eyes and heart of obedience.   PiVAT before dinner also motivates you to obey the rest of today.  Only the evening left!   Not a burden, a blessing!  Jesus said, “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  He was either lying, or He was telling the truth.  Only obeyers know for sure.  PiVAT before dinner also prepares you for your Daily Call tomorrow morning.   It reminds you of the testimony you’re going to share and invites you to go back to PRISM one more time.   Does God have anything else just waiting for you in His Word today?   … the last thing He wants to reveal to complete your testimony for today and ensure your success for tomorrow…

Proverbs 27:17 – As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

That’s what happens in our Daily Call (Hebrews 3:13), when we exhort one another daily.   How does iron sharpen iron? Contact.  Without contact, nothing gets sharpened.   Your Daily Call is your contact with iron.  With one another.  It’s the contact that sharpens you, like iron.

Your transparency sharpens them, Their transparency sharpens you.  Your obedience sharpens them, Their obedience sharpens you,  Your PRISM sharpens them, Their PRISM sharpens you,  Your Testimony sharpens them, Their Testimony sharpens you,  The Holy Spirit through your prayer for them, sharpens them.  The Holy Spirit through their prayer for you, sharpens you.  It’s why God said, one person, exhort one other person, every day.  That’s what your Daily Call does – if you are faithful to do it daily.  It’s the contact that sharpens iron.  It starts with PiVAT before dinner.

Praying for you.  That your PiVAT before dinner would be a lifelong habit, a complete download from the Holy Spirit of the wonderful things that your Heavenly Father has planned for you tomorrow.   Praying that your PRISM all day long will overflow His presence, His wisdom, and His character in you… and completely change your heart, your thoughts, your words, and your joy!

Praying that your testimony and prayer for ‘one another’ in every Daily Call would be the overcoming power of the Holy Spirit in you… that you would never be the same, never go back, never stop praising, never stop obeying, never stop seeing and hearing and sharing and growing.

Love you all,
dad
