Love you all, praying for you.

There was a story long ago of two swindlers who came to a kingdom, gained audience with the Emperor, and proceeded to impress him with their peerless skills and artistry as tailors.  Their fame according to them had already spread far and wide, surely you have heard of us...  All the other Kings for miles around wouldn’t be caught dead in Dior or Armani when they can wear johnson and smith.  In fact our new suit of clothes is a remarkable first achievement in clothing history – guaranteed to take the world by storm.  And you - most honorable Emperor - could be the first to have one.  The con men had everyone so convinced that even when the king finally arrived in his invisible suit – no one would say anything until a little boy finally blurted out,  “Look, Mommy, the Emperor has no clothes!”   I don’t know if you’ve ever been to the beach as a family – I can remember well some times the experience was less than ideal.  For some reason some people just don’t seem to possess the decency to extend perhaps the most basic common courtesy of summer sand – age appropriate clothing.   Lady, please – maybe when you were in your 20's that would have looked good, but someone please tell this dear woman…  this is not your best look.  There has got to be a city ordinance somewhere that would prevent this painful experience for all those involved…  We have children here.   And sir, please - whoever told you with your physique, you should have anything to do with the Speedo brand, you should never talk to that person again, ever!   Please, put some clothes on.   The Bible talks of appropriate attire.  There is appropriate attire for the occasion, don’t show up for the banquet feast of the King in dirty rags, be event appropriate when you dress.  And be age appropriate please.  For the sake of the children, for the sake of your own family, and the memory of your dear grandmother – God rest her soul.  People, please... know what to wear.  Here’s what God says – are the clothes you should wear.  Isaiah 61:4 - the garment of praise, for the spirit of heaviness… you’ll be called Oaks of righteousness and God will get the glory.  Some clothes are just appropriate for all ages and all occasions.  Have you ever noticed that some people are always under-dressed?  Is that you?  Complaining is a bad look, talking about people – is a bad look, gossiping, saying anything harmful about others – this is not the Fear of the LORD.  It's like walking around without your clothes.  Praise on your lips, the first thing on your tongue, the first and last thing out of your mouth – is better than Armani – for sure.  First impressions are made by stature (how you carry yourself – what your eyes say), and clothes - how you present yourself.   That garment of praise – is a classic – it will never go out of style.  God is always worthy of praise.  And find things to speak well of others – not flattery which is hatred disguised - insincerity isn’t necessary.  Ask God to teach you to praise Him, and praise others.  Take responsibility and share credit.  Always praise – in every circumstance – and you will always be well-dressed.  It will get you into places – other people can’t get in.  Stay in PRISM – it’s like the biggest walk-in-closet ever... for praise.  Transform your mind with His Word – that habit of PRISM - and you will be a Praiser.   You will hear the voice of God, He'll take over!  You will then already be looking so you see the things He’s doing.  Some of the greatest things God does aren’t flamboyant, they’re subtle.  He is worthy of praise for a lifetime!  God will use you to speak His life into others.  Praying that your praise habit – comes out when you least expect it.  That you're always dressed in praise.  So God gets the glory and you get the blessing.  Nice suit.

Love you all,
dad
