Love you all, praying for you…

I just love God’s Word – It talks of places where people are from – but that’s different than where you live.  It’s more than your location it’s your position.  Psalms 15:1 – LORD who may dwell in your sanctuary, who may live on your holy hill.  What a deep verse!  LORD – David starts at the top, the final say and the final Word.  LORD – it’s who He is.  But what do you call Him?  Not everyone calls Him LORD.  They will, make no mistake about it.  But not everyone calls Him LORD right now.  Some don’t know – they have no excuse.  God said even the heavens declare the glory of God.  It’s not mother nature, it’s the Father’s Creation.  Some don’t care, they know, but they prefer the pleasures of sin for a season over a crown which will never fade away.  And some say it but don’t mean it.  They worship with their lips, but their heart isn’t in it.  Their lips say LORD, but their heart is far from Him.  They don’t want to live in His sanctuary – only visit on Sunday, or live on His Holy Hill.  They prefer the tents of the wicked, where the wicked set their eyes and minds and hearts on wicked things.  That’s why their own tent is wicked. God is in His Sanctuary, He is on His Holy Hill.  And you are invited to live with Him!  You now have access by the death of Jesus in your place.  But there is a requirement to live in His sanctuary, to live on His Holy Hill – where all power and all beauty and all wisdom and all comfort rests.  First you have to want to (not mentioned here, but if you didn’t, you wouldn’t even keep reading). You have to value God and His ways, over the pleasures the world has to offer.  Then you have to do and be – what is required.  Here’s the good news up front.  All these requirements – you can’t be on your own, even when you’re saved by grace, God takes away your sin, but He doesn’t remove you from the world and it’s fake offers – called temptation…  God doesn’t immediately transport you to heaven, you stay here on earth, but learn to live in His Sanctuary – by His Holy Spirit.  He is the power you have to overcome with.  Just let Him lead you – get good at following and what you can’t do in your own will or your own strength, His power can do through you!  He whose walk is blameless.  Not perfect, not sinless (only One did that) but blameless.  Short accounts with God.  Quick to ask Him to forgive you and turn instantly from any thought or word or way that doesn’t please Him.  He who does what is righteous.  Not just doing what’s right, but righteous.  Not just right instead of wrong, but righteous – under his complete leadership – doing what God tells you to do – rather than what you want to do, or all the things you could do.  His plans for you, not your plans for you.  He who speaks truth from His heart.  That means what He says to himself and others is what God speaks.  He first through his words agreeing with God’s Word, plants them in his own heart, so it overflows.  He speaks truth to himself first, and truth in love to others.  He learns this by what he speaks in his heart, and what he keeps out of it.  Guard your ears and you’ll guard your tongue, and you’ll guard your heart.  He rejects lies, doesn’t listen to them or to people who tell them.  He turns off liars, unfollows, He doesn’t listen to them, rejects giving them any ear time of his, or any influence over him.  He rejects lies and liars.  Who has no slander on his tongue.  He stops his mouth from slandering or accusing others.  The devil has enough accusers copying him… The one who lives in God’s sanctuary holds his tongue, he believes the best, is quick to forgive, and lets God judge, they don’t pass judgment themselves.  On actions yes, but not on people.  Who does no wrong to his neighbor.  How?  He thinks of others and treats others as more important than himself, He sees them and treats them like God loves them.  And casts no slur on his fellowman – who doesn’t gossip or lessen with words, comments or questions, the reputation of another.  Who despises a vile man.  Just because he refuses to slander, doesn’t mean he panders to the wicked, he despises them.  He stands for truth, and for those who cannot stand for themselves.  They don’t shy away from evil, they call it out because they despise it, they are not worried about being cancelled, they will speak the truth in love and resist what is evil.  He trusts  in God to protect him and defend the cause of righteousness.  Who keeps his oath even when it hurts.  They treat people fairly, their word is good on everything had leads them to commit to.  They do what’s right by others, even if it costs them.  Who lends without usury.  He’s a giver, not a taker.  He gives more than he receives – and God makes sure that in time, He will receive more than He gives.  Who never accepts a bribe or takes any unfair advantage of others – because He fears God.  This guy – who does these things – will never be shaken.  God will protect him, provide for him, promote him and position him for God’s blessing, His life will be full of the fruit that God gives to the righteous.  God will go before him and surround him and be his rear guard.  He will walk in God’s ways, and specifically the path and plans God has for him.  He will never be shaken, he will be established in righteousness.  Praying that you will want to live in His Sanctuary, on His Holy Hill.  That you will go there every chance you get, stay there and keep coming back - so that who He is fills you.  So He can fulfill these requirements in you from that place of worship and His Word.  Just start there – and He will do the rest in you!

Love you all,
dad
