Love you all, praying for you,

I just love God’s Word, there are so many things between the lines.  What God says, indicates, requires, and what He says that implies other things as well.  Psalms 118:21 -  I praise you for you answered me, and have become my salvation.  God says, "Call on Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things that you do not know."  For Him to answer means you called.  You can call sooner or you can call later.  His answer is waiting, waiting on your call, and when you call, He will answer.  But sometimes, we can forget to call.  We can be so busy trying to work things out on our own, distracted with our own plans, that we forget to run to Him first – that’s what 'God my refuge' means – I run to him first – before I’m so deep that I finally realize it’s an emergency… No, it’s an emergency right now before the crap hits the fan!  Before I get down the road, and into the ditch.  I need His wisdom now, when I’m starting, before I muck things up.  Before I try my plans or strategy… why not just start with His wisdom, His timing, His response, and His answer…  To pray is to petition.  God isn’t offended by our requests, He delights in them.  He loves answering prayer.  The more we pray the more He answers, the sooner we pray, the sooner we get the answer, or at least the more mistakes we avoid while waiting.  How do you get better at this?  Make it a habit.  PiVAT before dinner is a great habit, PRISM every day is a great habit.  Do you go to Him for wisdom? or just for help, for direction, or only for salvation?  When you are just starting? Or just when you mess up.  He loves the requests, and He also loves the conversation.  He walked with Adam in the cool of the evening.  That’s just time together.  He spoke with Moses face to face, not just during the 10 commandments being written, but along the whole journey.  It was the conversations with David, that made David’s heart, a heart after His.  David was often in trouble, but more often in His Word, more often he praised, and blessed the God who was his refuge and strength – his present help in trouble.  Praying that you will call, so He will answer, that you will read His Word, so He can transform your mind.  Praying that you would get His plans – so you can distinguish between His plans and yours – and choose His.  Praying that the difference between PiVAT and PiVAT Maybe is very clear.  So the fruit of your life – is the fruit that He gives.  That your words are words of faith – because your words are His words.   Praying that you’ll go to him sooner, so that later your conversations are rejoicing in the victories, not needing help in the emergencies.  He has so much in store for you, and it’s so good!  He’s just waiting for you to ask.  The sooner you call, the better your later will be.  Praying that you will be in constant conversation with Him, coming back to PiVAT for His plans, coming back to PRISM for His Word – and coming back to Praise for His goodness and the victories He gives, and coming back to His Presence – where all the power is, and the peace, and the wisdom, and the revelation, and the joy that goes beyond words, that gets inside you, that situations can’t affect, and circumstance can’t change.

Love you all,
dad
