Love you all, praying for you!
Several Important Daily Huddles Recently. See Daily Huddle – Halftime – It’s what you should do before the second half of the year. Look backward and Look Forward. Recount and Re-commit. Praise Him for what He has done through you or in spite of you! And Re-commit to fully obeying him from this point forward! PiVAT before dinner will help you do this! Just start there. But there is another secret to this Godly Practice. It doesn’t just work on June 30th – the last day of the first half of the year. It is the same thing you should do – on the 15th of each month – when there is still a half to go. Or on Wednesday each week, there’s still the 2nd half of the week left! Or even at noon every day, or even at 30 minutes past the hour! In every hour – there’s still a second half. You can finish strong – today, this week, this month, this year. You can still fully obey. Just start now! His Good for you is waiting! God is the God of the Second Half! Actually He’s even the God of the last second shot. How many times have you heard of a pro basketball player who went 0 for 7 for the entire game, but hit the last shot. As long as there is time left in the game – (your life) There is still time to fully obey. Repent and turn – from sin, or distraction, ask God to forgive you – He will. And ask Him what He wants you to do right now! Whether you have a second half still left, or the last quarter, or even the last few minutes or moments. Go back to PiVAT – ask God what he wants you to do right now, in this hour! And just obey – He will bless you. God’s blessing and God’s joy will fill you. He knows how to make up for lost time, and He knows how to multiply the obedience that you have been faithful in already. Praise God! His love for you never ends! So as you look back, and look forward – recount and re-commit, ask God to establish the two "to do’s" in your life. What do you mean?
God only tells you to do two things. Things for today, or things for every day. His will for you today, and His will for you every day. If you are faithful in the things He has for you to do every day… You will far better understand the things He is telling you to do today. Praying that PiVAT before dinner, PRISM throughout the day, and your Daily Call – will become a lifelong habit for you - non-negotiable - that you wouldn’t miss it for the world. Actually, the world is the only thing that could make you miss it. The things the world has to offer can look really shiny sometime. Trinkets often do, while diamonds are harder to see, they’re often in the rough, and covered with dirt. But diamonds far surpass trinkets. Habits are what get you to diamonds. Habits are what takes off the rough edges in your life, habits remove the dirt, so the diamond can shine. Praying that you will understand the Habits God has for you See PRISM Topic – Habits. I’ve reviewed this one many times. But it is always a Word of God reminder that bears fruit. Let God use your habits to uncover the diamonds. Ask Him what He has for you each day and then do it faithfully. In your PiVAT before dinner – know the number one thing He’s telling you to do today, but also, know the habits that He has for you daily – and the exact time He’s telling you to do them. Praying that Presence and Praise are your priority, that humility and the Fear of the LORD are your pursuit, and that you will double down – so every conversation you have helps them discover their testimony One other thing that has really helped me. God showed me something a while back – a simple way to give an account of my habits. See PiVAT Progress. People say habits are hard to make, but the truth is they are hard to break. Get God’s habits for you – and they will be hard to break. "Habits prevail where motivation fails." Every mighty man or woman of God in the Bible had habits - it's what made them Mighty men and women of God. From Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, Joshua, Daniel. But Jesus was the ultimate example of habits - the habits of His Father. Someone once said, make your habits, so your habits can make you. God has habits for you daily. They will establish you, mature you, prepare you. They will build character that can sustain you in the success that obedience brings. Praying that you will review PRISM Topic – Habits. God’s Word is always the best reminder. Habits help your hearing. Praying that you will hear everything that God tells you, so you can walk in the Good that He can’t wait to give you.
