Love you all, praying for you.
Incredible revelation today. Daily Calls are absolutely a double portion. God speaks and confirms every day. Praise God! God convicted me. I recently finished my book of the Bible for my R: Read the Word of PRISM. And as I was planning to just go on to the next book… I remember that PRISM is not doing, but asking what He wants me to do. So I asked, but when He said, “Read Revelation next…” "IIeeee… don’t know… that’s not what I was thinking… that’s kind of a heavy book and I really need a book more sound-byte practical – cause – you know… I’m trying to do these Daily Huddles…" What? God reminded me what disobedience is: Entertaining alternatives in your mind other than what He just told you to do. Delayed obedience is disobedience. What are the first words out of your mouth – when you receive revelation? Yes Lord! Or I’d rather… And what made me think that Revelation would somehow be unhelpful for Daily Huddles? Uhhh… it’s called “Revelation.” It’s almost as if God were wondering… “When you ask Me about something – is it because you want to consider it… or really obey Me. Your first words after revelation – determine if that seed gets planted, and brings a harvest… or the birds get it. Still learning – praise God His mercy and long suffering cover me. Rev 1:0 I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and Kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the Island of Patmos because of the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus. Patmos apparently was a small uninhabited island off the coast near Ephesus. He might well have been exiled there because he was preaching the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus. But this verse refers not only to what sent him there, but what he was sent there for. Remember in the Word, God often gives double – two sides of the coin. Spiritual and natural… the old lady and the young girl. Ask Him to see both, to see more… The secret is revealed in verse two. “Who testifies to everything he saw; that is, the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus.” Verse 2 reveals the purpose. That’s what he was there to write down! But verse 9 said that’s what got him there. John knew the Word of God (Jesus) He lived with Him for 3 years, and his testimony was the testimony of Jesus. But he was about to get a whole new testimony. A deeper revelation of Jesus. Praise God! Even Patmos has a purpose. He was there for revelation! How he got there didn’t matter… what was he there for? God is in control of whatever happens in your life. What seems like exile – God will use to excel you. Excel – to exceed, to go beyond… Do you feel exiled? God may have brought you to this place to excel you – into His presence, into the 3rd heaven, into new revelation, a new vision of Him, things to come, new understanding, new perspective, new vision, life altering revelation. God wastes nothing. He makes use of everything. He has something for you here. How you got here, whose fault it was, doesn't matter. God speaks on Patmos. Wherever you are – God has something for you! Praying for you – that you would look for revelation in every circumstance. That you would constantly draw nearer to His presence. That if you are – where you don’t really want to be right now… That you would ask God what He has for you here – and what you need to do – to receive it. Maybe just humble yourself and listen, or serve, or praise anyway. Praying that you will humble yourself, surrender your will, your preference and even your opinion of where you are right now. That God would reveal himself to you and his next step for you, That your words would receive it – and His joy would come! Even on Patmos. Love you all, dad
