Daily Huddle - Wed Dec 2, 2020 Just A Reminder

Praise God – Sometimes He gives us just a reminder of Who He Is – and Who’s In Charge.  This morning God gave me a reminder.  I AM the Creator.  I AM the Owner.  I AM the Controller.  And I AM the Provider.   Sometimes we can forget the basics if we are not diligent and persistent in them.  Keep your eyes on Him!  Keep your eyes straight ahead.  Fix your eyes on Jesus – God’s Word in human form -  the author and the finisher of your faith.  Peter in his excitement called out to Jesus and asked “If it’s you, tell me to come to you on the water.”  “Come on, Peter!”  And out of the boat he went walking on the water just like Jesus.  But then suddenly the temptation of fear came.  Rather than looking at the One who could see him through, who could bring him safely to his next destination, he started looking at the waves crashing around him.  All the noise, the dark clouds, the angry sky, the tempest swirling around him, the haters and the dividers, the doubters and the liars… and he started to sink.  The water started to overtake him – engulf him, to drag him down to a watery grave.  But Jesus caught him by the hand and lifted him up, out of the doubt and unbelief, where his focus turned back to the One who speaks to the wind and the waves and they obey… because He made them.  They belong to Him.  He is the Creator – “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”  (Ge 1:1) He designed it, He sustains it by His power and by His hand.  In Christ all things are held together. (Col 1:17)  The Creator is infinitely greater than anything that has been created.  He can wrap it all up and start over again if He wants to.  One day He will, He said it... (Isa 65:17)  He’s the Owner - “The earth is the LORD’s and everything in it, the world and all who live in it.” (Ps 24:1) Everything He created, He owns.  “With my great power and outstretched arm I made the earth and it’s people and the animals that are on it, and I give it to anyone I please.” (Jer 27:5)  He is the Controller -  “Your hand controls power and might and it is at your discretion that men are made great and given strength. (I Chr 29:12)  “It is God alone who judges; He brings one down and exalts another (He decides who will rise and fall) (Ps 75:7).  Don’t worry – it doesn’t matter what is going on around you – all those who rise up against Him… He is in absolute Control, He’s got this!     And He is the Provider.   And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Php 4:19).  So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide.  And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.  He’s the Good Shepherd, The Great Physician, your loving Heavenly Father, and the soon and coming King.  So what do we do?  What did Peter do?  Not much – Ask, Believe, and Keep your eyes on Him.  How do you make sure you do that?  Speak His Word into your heart.  PRISM will transform you with His Word.  PiVAT before dinner – Get His plans for you – they are way better than yours!  Follow His plans today for your good in complete surrender and joyful obedience.  Praying that PiVAT, PRISM and His Presence will be your go to today.  So that you will remember Who He really is, so your faith won’t be little like Peter, that doubt starts to sink you.  But for you - that you would go from faith to faith, grace to grace and glory to glory.  So you will walk in the good that He has stored up for those who fear Him, who trust and obey Him, who believe and receive Him and everything that He promised.
