Love you all, praying for you.
Second day in a row I typo’d 2029 instead of 2019. Hmmm…
Made me think: In 10 years – I will be 63 years old. April will be 61, Kelsey will be 35, Evan 33, Adair 33, Jibby 32, KC will be 31, Haleigh 31, Arden 30, Reece, 28.
What will you be like then?
What will your character be, then?
Upper Room – or Jersey Shore?
Starting well doesn’t mean ending well.
It will depend on your habits. Your habits truly reveal your future.
Yesterday God spoke something to me, I knew it was a follow-up on an earlier PRISM.
Occasional diligence is not diligence. Occasional diligence – and perseverance can never take root. And character will never develop – right character.
If habits build your character, and you are what you do daily…
Then what are you doing today – to cement, insure, and reinforce diligent habits in your life?
Romans 5:3. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom He has given us.
So there is a connection between character and hope…
Character and the ability of the Holy Spirit, (or the unlocking – or releasing of the Holy Spirit to pour into our hearts).
Since the prerequisite of character is perseverance, and the prerequisite of perseverance is suffering…
Suffering: A choice to forego comfort repeatedly – to gain something better… (Perseverance - which builds character which…)
What tools do you use to build perseverance in your life? (So right character can be formed?)
Well I’m just doing some habits. That’s good, like people’s New Year’s resolutions. But how long do they last. What happens when habits get interrupted by life, and motivation is long gone…
I’m so very thankful for PiVAT Progress. It is changing me. I’m not the same person I was at the beginning of this year. My Daily Calls are changing me. I’m learning perseverance in the Word, prayer and testimony.
It is so critical to learn perseverance this year and build the character required to be ready for what God will do in 2020 and beyond.
Praying for you that God you will use tools, and a daily relationship – so diligence will become a habit, not a choice… so perseverance can build character so the Holy Spirit has something to work with to pour into.
Full day yesterday. Safety traveling back from KY in the snow. 11:30 pm walk into still a house-full of 20 somethings… Kelsey finishing the dishes before bed – 1:00 am. Our home is different, a new paradigm. We are doing “leave and enter – every surface clean.”
This is a whole new level – it’s not even a thought anymore. Natural before Spiritual. God is changing us. Preparing us. Can’t help but wonder what He’s about to do.
Today. Taxes submitted – by the end of day. Trying to front load and be faithful – praise God.
Everything you complete when God says do it – frees you for the next blessing.
Obedience is a momentum thing. Praise God He gives grace. He is faithful.
Love you all,
