Love you all, praying for you,
Inevitably in every life there will come times and seasons, moments of truth. Solomon said, I’ve seen a grievous evil under the sun, wealth hoarded to the harm of it’s owner, or wealth lost through some misfortune, so that when he has a son there is nothing left for him… As fish are caught In a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so men are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them. There is an evil I have seen under the sun, the sort of error that arises from a ruler: Fools are put in high positions while those of substance occupy the low ones. I have seen slaves on horseback while noble men walk. There have been moments in history, and there will inevitably be moments in your life where a choice must be made, where the times you live in, demand it, and where straddling the fence is no longer possible. You will need to decide what is true, and what is false – and take a stand for what is right, not what is advertised to be right. Whose side will you be on? Who will you stand with, and who will you stand against? The righteousness of God, or the self-proclaimed righteousness of men? The wisdom of God, or the wisdom of men? (Which is foolish before God)… the justice of God or the justice of men? The Israelites faced it at the Jordan river – whose report will you believe? The report of the 10 that saw the giants not the fruit, or the report of Joshua and Caleb, that saw the fruit, and trusted God to remove the giants… They chose wrong, and it cost them 40 years – actually their life – their kids got the promise, they died in the desert. Years later, Joshua called them to account – Choose you this day whom you will serve… as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Moses by the Word of the LORD – told the Israelites to move away from the tents of Korah. It was time to choose sides. Are you with those who want to rule, or those that God has chosen to rule? Jehu called out to the servants of Jezabel, “Are you with the LORD or are you with her? Praying that you will be like the men of Issachar. Who understood the times, and knew what the people of God should do. They knew what God was speaking and what God was doing in this hour. They knew what God was speaking through His prophets, and could discern who the LORD stood for, and could see who stood with Him, and who stood against Him. The side opposed to the LORD will always seem right, it’s a false right. Compromise with wickedness is not kindness, God says kindness leads to repentance. Praying that in the times that try men’s souls, you will choose the LORD’s side. That you will seek His Word, and seek His face, and choose His side, by His grace. That you would humble yourself, be soaked in His Word, and fervent in prayer, that you would have ears to hear, a heart to obey, not be deceived, and have the courage to stand for truth, and righteousness – no matter what the enemy has stacked against you. That you would believe His Word, and stand for what He stands for – that you would never doubt, or fear, but declare truth, declare His Word, and declare His promise. That you would love Him first, and love others – not with compromise, but with kindness. Love you all, dad
