Love you all, praying for you.
Crazy story… John 4:46 - Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son who was close to death. “Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders, Jesus said to him, you will never believe.” The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” Jesus replied, “You may go, your son will live. The man took Jesus at his word and departed… while he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living. Three crazy things from this story… #1 When he heard. Somebody said something! Somebody had a testimony – about this Jesus. He heard about what this guy did in their life – so he got something in his spirit – that this same Jesus – could do something in His life. He heard about Jesus – and he heard where Jesus was coming. Somebody shared. Somebody spoke. Somebody said something, somebody had a testimony – they overcame! And faith got birthed in someone else! And when faith gets born – it prepares the way for miracles! Testimony – the Word of God, and the Word of what God did births faith, it grows faith. It prepares environments for miracles. Miracles can happen in environments of faith. He’s the same yesterday, today and forever. Is your heart that environment of faith? Are you hearing? Are you giving your testimony so others can hear, and faith can be born? PiVAT and PRISM and your Daily Call – make 100% sure – that you will always have a testimony. Your Daily Call is just the dry run, the dress rehearsal for your testimony. After you’ve shared once already today – with your Daily Call Partner – then it’s just a matter of sharing again. Ask God who, He’ll tell you, he will bring you to those who need to hear, so faith is born, and renewed. #2 He didn’t take offense, he was desparate. He didn’t let what Jesus said (or what others say), not even the truth about his past performance or behavior un-track him, he was desperate! He didn’t let the truth of perhaps his or others’ slowness to believe, his imperfections, his past failures stop him from pursuing Jesus. Was Jesus talking to him personally or the others in the crowd when He said “unless you see signs and wonders…” He didn’t worry about that. Like the story of the blind man who ignored the people who said – stop shouting, don’t bother Jesus. He shouted all the more. “Jesus, Son of David, Have Mercy on me!" Like the Phoenician woman – she didn’t take offense. “Is it right to give the children’s bread to the dogs?” Yes, Lord, but even the dogs get the crumbs from the children’s table. For this man, he didn’t let himself get offended, and lose out on what God wanted to give him. At the risk of being rude… “he asked again, “Sir, (please), come heal my son before he dies!” #3 He had his depart moment. Jesus response was immediate – to the second time he asked. “You can go, your son will live." Unexpected… not what he thought would happen in that moment. It was sounding like more persuasion was needed, and he was ready to petition again… but suddenly – Jesus Said... Now what? – the moment of truth… But he thought that Jesus would come to his house, and lay hands on his boy and pray to his Father in heaven, and maybe light would come down or something… and then they would have him over for dinner – maybe grill some burgers with the good BBQ sauce… and then… But suddenly Jesus answered. You can go, He’s healed. These moments of truth come suddenly – when God works in a way you didn’t expect or think it would happen that way. What do you do in that instant? He departed. He turned and left. And on the way home, his servants came and told him – your son lives. I was spending time in God’s presence this morning. First thing. The song was Bethel – This is a move. And one of the lines which repeat in the song. “Miracles happen when you move.” They are singing praise to Jesus – and rightfully so – when He moves, miracles happen. But God spoke to me – some times miracles happen when YOU move, when I move. The man moved. Faith made him move, and Faith comes by hearing. He Heard, and he came to Jesus. That’s one move. Then He received Jesus’ Word of Truth – He heard again, and it required a response – He moved again. He departed. So what’s your depart? What’s that thing that you would do immediately – if you really believed, if you took him at His Word. Praying for you - that you would hear. And that even more – you would always give a testimony. If you’re faithful in PiVAT and PRISM and a Daily Call – like Jesus commanded (Hebrews 3:13) You will always have a testimony already prepared and rehearsed. Something God did – that you overcome by saying, that births faith in someone else. They'll move, that’s how miracles happen. Praying that you will never take offense or be distracted from pursuing Jesus – no matter what truth applies to you, or what people say to deter you. And praying you will always take him at his word. That you will always be ready “to depart” when Jesus says move. That you won’t get pre-conceived notions in your natural mind – of how God has to do something. So that the moment He reveals himself to you – from His Word – you will know your depart. That thing you would do – if you took Him at His Word. This will happen regularly – if you are in PRISM every day. He will speak – His Word will confirm His Will for you from PiVAT. I’m praying you will be instant in your reaction. That you would always move – when He moves. Love you all, dad
