Love you all, praying for you.
How amazing to me is the stark practicality of God’s Word. I love how God just tells it like it is. Proverbs does this often. Proverbs 12:1 – Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge but he who hates correction is stupid. Love – place great value on. Hate – place little value on. What is discipline? Patterns. A disciple of Jesus patterns their life after His. They follow the patterns He did, and the patterns and principles He taught. The patterns of Christ lead to life - and life more abundantly. Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge so whoever loves knowledge loves discipline. (If you highly value wisdom and knowledge, you will highly value discipline – His patterns for you) To follow His patterns means some of my patterns need correction… changes, modifications, refinement. You can’t love knowledge without loving discipline, and you can’t love discipline without loving correction… the changes He tells you to make. Whoever places little or low value on the changes the Holy Spirit prompts them to make – is stupid. More than ignorant, stupid is stupid. Ignorance can be remedied with knowledge, stupid can’t – it’s averse to knowledge, a rejection of it. Praying that you will love God’s corrections, that you will be totally open to the patterns He has for you, willing to make any changes or refinements He prompts – whether large or small… with the diligence to establish those refinements and continue in them. Someone once said, you are what you do daily. I’m praying that part of who you are is loving any changes God draws you to. The loving corrections He has for you. Just ask. Be sure you aren’t missing anything. And continue with diligence – the patterns that establish you in His Presence, and His Word, in praise and faith. Praying that God will reveal His plans for you, and encourage you in the patterns He has for you today. Love you all, dad
