Daily Huddle - Wed  Mar 27, 2019    Nothing Worse...

Love you all, praying for you.

Today.  Lunch with Jon, and a couple other meetings.  Praise God, thankful all day.  Being faithful step by step.

There may be nothing worse in life than wanting something God said it isn’t time for yet.  A dangerous place to be, because if your focus is not on what God has for you to do right now,  It’s on what He does not have for you right now.  Not only are you not obeying, your journey and next destination is delayed, and your mis-focus perpetuates your frustration.  Frustration is not freedom.  Nor is it thanksgiving.   Thankful people are not frustrated.  Frustrated people have forgotten to be thankful.

A silly business quote:  “There is no problem that more sales can’t fix.”  People actually quote that… which means they start believing it.  Silly because – they don’t understand what a problem is, nor what a solution is.  Nor do they understand the purpose of business.  Faithful Stewardship.   (It’s not your business)   More sales don’t fix a lack of faithful stewardship.   More sales just means you will be more unfaithful, or unfaithful with more.

Be focused on obeying in this season.  (Faithful)  So God can bring you to the next one - fully prepared.  Leave the timing to Him.   (of the job, the car, the promotion, the wife or husband…)  Be thankful and frustration will be crowded out.  And your obedience will take you more quickly, and fully prepared to the next season – when God says -  “Now’s the time.”

One more thing.   So thankful that God doesn’t part the Red Sea every day in PRISM.  Sometimes He just sends rain, or sun, or helps the grass grow.  I love His daily reminders.  Reinforcements of truth that establish us in mind and heart.

Psalms 68:19 – Praise be to the LORD, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.

Praise will be to the LORD.  The Supreme in Authority will be praised – whether by me or not.
If nothing else, I will praise, if no-one else, I will praise.  He’s God and my Savior!  Creator and maker of the universe, and me.   But He also came for me, when nothing could help me.  He died in my place.  Jesus suffered for me.  His Father suffered for me, so I can enter His presence forgiven.  What kind of God is that?  What kind of God does that?  And He bears my burdens daily?   What burden do you have today?  He takes it from you, and carries it Himself – so you no longer have to carry it.

What burdens you?  He takes it, you are free of it.  Burden-less.   What burden could you face tomorrow?  What’s the worst that could possibly happen? He carries it.  He takes it, you don’t have to!   Every day – He bears – every burden.  (yesterday’s burdens, today’s burdens, tomorrow’s burdens)  He takes them, and I am free.   Your job is to praise, His job is to carry.  The more you praise – the more He carries.   Your praise doesn’t make him carry, He already said He would.  Your praise keeps you from carrying what He is already carrying.  Praise transfers burdens.  Praise trades burdens for blessings.

Praying for you, that if nothing else, you will praise.  Praying that you will let Him carry your burdens.  Praying that you will not carry a single one.  Do your job.  Praise.  He will do His.

Love you all,
dad
