Love you all, praying for you.

Praise God.  He is drawing hearts!  Family Dinner last night.  40+ people in worship, dinner, and loving one another.  Daily Calls are bringing people to obedience, to overcoming testimony, and strong relationships – the daily relationships that God desires.  35 people at 10 pm in a birthday affirmation bomb for Jon – powerful how the Holy Spirit gives Words of encouragement.  This is God moving people closer to Him, His Presence, His Word, to their purpose, to victory in this life through Him. Praise God!

God was showing me a secret yesterday.

Proverbs 30:7-9 – Two things I ask of you, O LORD; do not refuse me before I die:  Keep vanity and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.  Vanity & Lies :  shav <shawv>  and kazab <kaw-zab> – being made useless by meaningless pursuits and deception that could turn you away from God.  1828 Vanity -  emptiness, fruitless desire or endeavor, labor that produces no good, empty pleasure, arrogance, inflation of the mind, empty pride – a turning away.  And Lies  - Falsehood, being deceived.  So His first prayer was - keep me from being ruined by meaningless pursuit or any deception that would turn me from you.  And his second prayer was – give me my daily bread.    Crazy - but God actually revealed the answer - right in the very prayer itself.

The Proverbs Writer was talking about food to eat.  (you can tell because the next verse reveals his concern of forgetting God or having to steal and dishonoring Him).  But as God often parallels the natural with the Spiritual; 'Give me only my daily bread' is actually the answer to that prayer.   In Matthew 6:11 The LORD’s Prayer says the same thing.  “Give us this day our daily bread” But was Jesus instructing His Disciples to beg God to remember to feed them? Of course not - How do we know?   Matthew 6:26 – Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not much more valuable than they?  V31  So do not worry, saying, “what shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?”  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them…  So if Jesus wasn’t talking about food… what was Jesus talking about?  What’s Daily Bread?

John 4:28 -  Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people,  “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did.  Could this be the Messiah?”  They came out of the town and made their way toward him.  Meanwhile his disciples urged him, “Rabbi, eat something.”  But He said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”  Then his disciples said to each other, “Could someone have brought him food?”  Then Jesus explained, my food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish his work.”

So wait a minute – what just happened?  Let’s go back… Jews never went through Samaria, they were considered not even Jews. (the woman at the well even confirmed that - ‘You’re speaking to me? A Samaritan woman?)   In John Chapter 4 – it explains.  Jesus was leaving Judea in the south, and going to Galilee in the north – and he “was bound to” go through Samaria.  Why? -  because during PiVAT before dinner, that’s what His Father told him to do.  (His Father made His will clear that's why He was bound to do it)  So the disciples went with him – through Samaria - came to a town called Sychar – they got there at noon and the disciples went into town to get some lunch from McDonalds.  (ok – the Bible doesn’t really say McDonalds – but you get the picture.)

When they got back they were surprised to find him talking with a woman!   So first – Jews didn’t travel through Samaria,  second Jews didn’t talk with women, much less Samaritan women, least of all a woman drawing water at a well in the heat of the day – obviously an outcast.  Didn’t Jesus know that this woman was of ‘highly questionable character?”  But the Bible says – no one dared say anything to him.  She had left, just as they were arriving with lunch -  so they suggested He eat something  (before His fries got cold).  But Jesus wasn't worried about french fries - He wanted to explain to them what Daily Bread was – not just physical food – Doing the will of the Father - finding out God’s plan for you today – and doing it!

Jesus demonstrated exactly what He wants us to do!    And Jesus said “I am the bread of life  (He is the WORD made flesh - God's Word in human body form)  PiVAT is how we know the Father's will for us for today, and PRISM transforms our mind to the mind of Christ.  This is our Daily Bread - sometimes He will take you through Samaria – and even have you talk to people that no one cares about.   But He will give you your Daily Bread – His Word and His Plan for you – that’s how you become like David – doing everything He wants you to do.   And that’s how vanity and lies never ruin you!  That's how God can use your life to fulfill His Kingdom Purpose in you.  When we learn how to seek His Word and His Plan for us, everything else we need – He will surely provide.

Praying for you.  That you will never miss PiVAT before dinner, and that you will come back to PRISM every day – so you are never ruined by vanity nor deception.  That His Word, and His will revealed daily – your Daily Bread - will keep you walking in the absolute Good that He has stored up for you!

Love you all,
dad
