So how should we treat others? Philippians 2:3 - Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves. I Corinthians 13:1-8 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never comes to an end…
(Every mention of what love is – really means what obedience is: love is obeying God in how we interact with him, and how we treat others.) Romans 12:10 - Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
Romans 15:7 - Therefore receive one another, (show hospitality) even as Christ also received you, to the glory of God. Galatians 5:13 - For you have been called to live in freedom, brothers and sisters. But don't use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. John 13:14 - And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other's feet. Galatians 6:2 - Share each other's burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
Ephesians 4:2 - Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. Ephesians 4:32 - Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you. Colossians 3:13 - Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Colossians 3:16 - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with grace in your hearts to God. (Admonish – to put in their mind, reprove gently. Reprove – to charge with a fault – to the face.) I Thessalonians 5:11 - So encourage one another and build each other up, just as you are already doing. Hebrews 10:24 - And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward obedience/love and good deeds,
James 5:16 - Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Ephesians 6:18 - And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. Hebrews 3:13 - But exhort one another daily, while it is called today, so that not one of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
