Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It tells you what you wouldn’t have known or thought of. And it exposes what’s wrong that seems right. Have you ever noticed, the splash is not always the significant? The loudest voice is not always the wisest. The most concurred with - is not always what’s right. More often than not, it’s not. What many people accept as true, is not true. The more people that accept it as truth, the less it is challenged. The longer it goes unchallenged, the harder it becomes for the truth to be uncovered. And the few that seek it become persecuted. That’s why it’s so important to sift new information through God’s Word. Your New Information Filter: #1) Is It True? #2) Where is the Evidence? #3) What’s in it for them? #4) What does God say? God says the wicked become subject to a powerful delusion. Anytime there is bondage, or slavery, or oppression, or the loss of freedom, it is not the Spirit of God. Whether restricting God given rights of freedom or insisting on the right to sin in the name of freedom, both are the loss of freedom. It is for freedom that Christ has set you free. (Galatians 5:1) He whom the Son sets free is free indeed. (John 8:36) Galatians 5:13 You my brothers were called to be free, but do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh (carnal, sin nature) but rather, serve one another humbly in love. If it’s for freedom that Christ set you free, freedom is probably important. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32) If you were called to be free, and it takes truth to be free, without truth there is no freedom. Jesus is the way the truth and the life, and whom Jesus sets free is really free… that means freedom is a big deal, not a sidenote. Freedom from what? Sin. Those enslaved by sin, will seek to enslave others. Those who have been set free are no longer under the yoke of oppression. Oppression cannot occur, unless someone thinks it’s right, or justifiable. And it only occurs when no one stands up against it. That’s why God said, resist the devil, don’t just succumb to his deception, and oppression. Seek truth, be bold, speak the truth in love, and don’t allow yourself to believe what anyone says, or what everyone says - without asking God what He says… and what you should do - or you’ll forfeit the grace that could be yours – and become bound again by the yoke of slavery. Sin isn’t worth it, what sin brings, and sinners try to oppress you with, is not worth it. James 1:25 – But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it, not forgetting what they heard, but doing it, they will be blessed in what they do. Here’s the deception. The devil always deceives people into thinking that the restraints of righteousness are bondage, and the bondage of sin is freedom. Did you get that? Some people think they are being controlled when being restrained by righteousness. When in reality, their desire is for freedom from the wrong thing. Be free from sin, not righteousness. Free to sin, isn’t freedom, it’s oppression, control, and death. Resist the devil, not righteousness. That’s why freedom is such a big deal. Praying that you will know what freedom is. And not give it up. Not in your country, but even more-so, not in your heart. Praying that you will never give in to oppression or slavery, that you’ll soak in His Word, use your new information filter, and make obedience your habit, so anything less than God’s best, will be obvious as the bondage it is. Praying that you will choose and stand for freedom, it’s a big deal. Love you all, dad
