I just love God’s Word.  It tells you things you would never figure out on your own.  Have you ever pondered the oxymoron of self-control?  It’s almost humorous -  you cannot control yourself.  That’s what led you to the realization that you need self-control, because you can’t.  What self-control really is – is not trying harder, only to fail again.  Self control is the realization that you cannot control yourself, you need to surrender control of yourself to His control.   It’s an exchange of the one who controls self.  It’s new ownership.  The only way to self-control, is self-surrender.   If you let yourself – remain in control – that’s why you have no self-control, or you have it for a little while, but not when you need it the most.  The secret to self-control, is to give your self to the Holy Spirit’s control.  When He controls you, instead of yourself controlling you – that’s when your life just becomes one victory after another.  You cannot work on your self-control, by hoping you’ll do better in the heat of the moment next time.  That never works, or only works in low-stakes situations, not when self-control is crucial.  It’s too late then, you can’t control yourself – or you wouldn’t be trying to work on it.  But… if the Holy Spirit is in control, you walk where He leads, you think differently, and you act differently, so you react differently.  God’s Word gives us the keys to walk in the Spirit, and it tells us the benefit.  You won’t fulfill the lusts of the flesh – you won’t do those things you shouldn’t do, but just can’t stop yourself from doing.  The first step to walking in the Spirit, is to receive God’s Gift of Salvation, if you don’t belong to God, if you haven’t been born into His family, then you cannot walk in His Spirit, you don’t even have Him, much less His Spirit.  The second step to learning to walk in the Spirit, you have to receive the Holy Spirit  -  by faith.  The first thing Jesus told His followers to do.  Wait in Jerusalem, until the Holy Spirit has come upon you.  And you will receive Power to be my witnesses.  That word means martyrs – ones who lay their life down – who no longer control themselves but have given up control to the Holy Spirit – who leads them in God’s best for them).  The third secret to walking in the Spirit – is to pray in the Spirit.  The only 100% guaranteed, foolproof way to completely and only pray the exact will of your Father in Heaven for you - is to pray in the Spirit.  Your mind will not understand, but your spirit will fully.  The language of your spirit is totally different from the language of your mind, it’s like heaven compared to earth.  Your prayer in the Spirit is not in English, it’s a heavenly language – the primary language through which your spirit communes and communicates with God.  If you Are Saved, and Filled with the Holy Spirit, you can pray in the Spirit, and you will walk in the Spirit.  The 4th secret to walk in the Spirit – is start.  Get His plans – and give up yours.  PiVAT before dinner, if you ask Him, not just fill it out yourself.  The Holy Spirit will tell you exactly what God has planned for you today.  And if you do it (and He even gives you the grace to choose it…) that’s how you become good at walking in the Spirit - the things that God has for you, instead of the things that you have for you (Or that you think is you).  And the fifth secret to walking in the Spirit is to soak in His Word.  The Holy Spirit will lead you in all truth, and God’s Word is truth.  So if you are continually in His Word – the Holy Spirit has something to work with – so He can reveal truth to you.  So you can walk in it!  That’s how you are led by the Spirit – that’s where success comes from.  It’s what protects you from deception.   And finally, don’t forget the power of two by two, and the power of your testimony – it’s how you overcome so you secure the victory that the Holy Spirit leads you in.  Praying that if you are not saved, you will receive what He died for you for, then, that you will be filled with His Holy Spirit, that you will pray in the Spirit, that you will ask Him Daily for His plans for you, and walk in them, and that you will remain in His Word, so you walk in the Spirit.  So you give up your control (which is no control at all) to His control.  So He can lead you in all truth, and lead you to where God has Good stored up for you!  He can’t wait for you to walk with Him in it!

I really do love America.  The greatest nation that has ever been on the earth, with the exception of God’s Chosen People, the nation of Israel.  For over 200 years, America had a common theme – liberty.  We even have a Statue for it, and a Bell for it.  Freedom.  We valued each person’s rights, and opinions, although fervent debate has always been a part of this country.  However this generation has evolved, it no longer holds the freedoms that our founders held, in the same light, or with the same value.  We don’t agree to disagree, we have been deceived by those who hate America - to hate one another, and segment ourselves into groups, by race, class, and opinion.  And the powerful have become bent on silencing anyone who disagrees with their views.  But hating a different perspective and therefore those who hold it, because it differs from yours, and trying to squelch it, or silence it instead of considering it with humility, and an interest in gaining understanding– doesn’t result in your perspective winning in the marketplace of ideas…  Instead it actually works against you.  Like telling a child, don’t open that cabinet…  They start thinking that that’s where you hid the good cookies… and they will surely open it when you’re not looking.  Truth defends itself. It always wins in fair and equal discussion.  And when silenced, it still finds its way to the top.  Because people long for truth, it’s part of the image of God you were created in.  He is the God of truth.  Now, people can be deceived.  God says when they reject His Word and His commands, when they insist on calling evil good, and good evil…  He eventually gives them over to their delusion.  That’s why deception is so effective – if you can convince people that a lie is the truth, it becomes quite a weapon, and holds great power, it could even destroy a nation, and enslave people for generations.  If you can convince people of the irrational, there is no evil they will not eventually condone.  How did the Nazi’s in Germany murder millions of innocent people without public outcry?.  By blaming one race, outlawing opposing viewpoints, and fear of imprisonment and torture.  That will do it.  History is littered with the corpses of people that thought – “That could never happen here.”  Abraham Lincoln warned of it.  He said, “Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us at a blow?  Never!  All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest, with a (Napoleon) Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force take a drink from the Ohio (River) or make a track on the Blue Ridge (Mountains of Tennessee) in a trial (war) of a thousand years.  At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected?  I answer.  If it ever reach us it must spring up amongst us;  it cannot come from abroad.  If destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher.  As a nation of freemen, we must live through all of time, or die by suicide. – Abraham Lincoln (before the Young Men’s Lyceum, Springfield Illinois, Jan 27, 1838).  Now do you understand why there are huge forces within this country that are trying to convince people, and teach an entire generation of children that our country is inherently evil? And based on oppression – when in truth it has stood the test of almost 250 years as the most free, fair, and prosperous self-governing experiment for every citizen in all of human history?  If you can convince from within, it’s own people, that the free-est nation ever is founded on corruption, you can actually tear it down – from within.  A former NFL player tweeted this week.  “We just witnessed a system built on white supremacy validate the terrorist acts of a white supremacist.” (This comment is absurd, entirely without evidence)… But his next statement is revealing.  “This only further validates the need to abolish our current system, White Supremacy cannot be reformed.”  That is what they are after, the destruction of this country.  And they are gaining a following among the deceived.  If the Constitution is replaced what will they replace it with?  The Marxist, Communist Manifesto?  We have over one hundred of years of clear evidence as to the life and liberty that results under both world views.  One leads to death, shortages, poverty, imprisonment and misery in every example in history.  The other, the United States of America – is still the beacon of freedom that refugees from around the world risk their lives to come to.  This is what Abraham Lincoln warned about – the approach of danger to be expected – from within.  Abraham Lincoln was right, His warning was for our time, not just twenty years after he first spoke it.  So what do we do?  If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their land.  May God save America.  Don’t doubt, pray.   Don’t blame, turn.  Don’t hate, love.  Don’t falter, stand firm.  And we will see what the LORD of all creation, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of these United States of America – will do.  Let us not lose this nation on our watch.  It is for us to get on our knees and pray for God to preserve freedom, restore truth, bring justice, establish unity, and show mercy on our land.  May God Save America.

I just love God’s Word, it applies to real life.  It tells you what to do, when what you wanted didn’t happen.  Did your team lose this weekend?  Are you out of the hunt for the National Championship this year?  There’s a question to consider in every win or loss in life.  Do you live for the year? Or do you live for the legacy?   Never live just for the future, or you’ll miss the moment.  But if you only live for the moment, you’ll often be disappointed.  Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.  You want to win every game, every opportunity, every battle, and every trial.  But what if you failed this time?  First know.  Failure isn’t final.  How you respond is more important than what just happened.  Some things you can control, some things you can’t.  Some things you should have but you didn’t.  Failure comes for three reasons,  Your strategy, your effort, or your consistency were insufficient for success.  Sometimes you’re just outclassed.  You have a team of three star recruits playing a team of five star recruits.  The only way you’ll win is a fluke.  But that doesn’t mean you don’t play.  Flukes happen – especially when preparation meets opportunity.  If you play for the year, what happens this year may disappoint you.  Nothing wrong with disappointment, if you respond correctly.  If you play for the year, instead of the legacy.  You will be disappointed every year.  How many teams in college football?  A lot.  How many of them will lose this year?  Every single one, except the team that wins the National Championship.  Every other team will lose.  If you play for the year, your odds aren’t great.  But if you play for your legacy – you can succeed every year.  If nothing else, you can succeed in your response.  First how not to respond.  #1  It’s no big deal.  That’s a lie, it was, you failed, it was a big deal.  Don’t excuse failure, or it will become a habit.  #2  Blame others -  those refs were terrible.  Yeah, they didn’t tackle that guy that walked right into the end zone.  They didn’t make that key block, or catch the pass, or convert that 3rd down.  Refs have nothing to do with the outcome.  They’re as bad for the other team as they are for you.  And anyone who blames them, is living in the delusion, that exonerates themselves from their responsibility. If it’s not the refs, they’ll blame the sun, or the rain, or the snow, or the ball, or their coach, or their teammates.  No – it was you.  You didn’t do enough to win.  You didn’t prepare well enough, or execute well enough, or put in the required effort, or when it looked the worst, you didn’t believe you could win, so you were right.  And the number #3 way, not to respond.  Continue in the same patterns – that produced your current performance level.  If things are ever going to change, you are going to have to change.  So what response should you have in a loss of a game, or a loss in life?   #1 Congratulate the winner.  Be glad for them, they worked hard, or worked hard enough to beat you.  If you can learn to celebrate others’ success, it will demonstrate the character that wins in legacy.  This year will be soon forgotten, but your legacy lives forever – you take it with you the rest of your life, and when you’re gone, it will continue.  #2 Examine yourself – What could I have done better?  If you ask God, He’ll tell you, He knows, and more than anyone else, He wants you to do better next time.  #3 Be willing to change.  Whether change your goals, or your strategy, or your investments, or your effort or your consistency.  If you are willing to change, every loss can become a gain, every failure can lead to your victory, every loss can lead to your legacy.  And finally,  #4 Learn to build your faith.  First be careful what your faith is in.  God has good for you, and it’s not always what you think is good for you or the best, or the best time.  Second, let your words be faith and life.  Learn God’s Word and His Will - His plans for you which you can surely put your faith in.  And learn to speak your faith into reality.  You don’t need to win every game or every battle in life, to leave a legacy worthy of the God who saved you, and will lead you if you let Him.  In this season, fully do what He’s called you to do.  Keep your hand to the plow, and know that your faithfulness now, will result in a legacy that will give glory to Him, and will encourage others to put their trust in the LORD.  If your legacy is His legacy – it will be a legacy of winning, winning souls even more than winning games.  Games are temporary, people are eternal.

I just love God’s Word.  It is love, it is truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. It is life.  It reveals the Author of truth, and the author of lies.  It exposes truth versus lie. And specifically warns that if you reject truth, you will be given over to delusion.  You will become stuck on stupid.   I saw a sign in a yard recently that made me laugh.  We Stand Up To Hate.  It made me laugh because what it really means is – “We Hate Those Who Hate.”  A sign that says ‘hate haters’ – perfectly exposes the deception, and the source of the problem.  The problem is me, the problem is you, not someone else.  Typical of hypocrisy – blaming others – while guilty ourselves. It’s a trap.  It’s the current culture – blame and shame and tell everybody else to do, while themselves doing what they condemn others for - the epitome of lack of self-awareness, the absence of truth.  Stop Hate is merely a pretending of virtue, while perpetuating it.  Do you think a sign that says Stop Hate – will ever stop it?  How?  “You stop hate, while I still do it” only perpetuates what we claim to stand against.  So what really stops hate?  Is there anything that will stop it?  Only Love stops hate.  Have you ever seen a sign in someone’s yard that says, We Love You.  Now that – is the start – to the stop of hate.  Hate will stop when people choose love, instead of choose hate.  And it starts with me, and you.  The test of love is how you treat those you don’t agree with.   Can you disagree, and still love?  God said love your enemies, do good to them.  Truth is essential to love.  If you love someone you will speak the truth in love, and respect them enough as God created them, with the ability to choose for themselves.  God did say, stand for those who cannot stand for themselves – those who are not given a choice, or a voice, who have no say in their fate.  But God never said “Punch A Hater.”  That’s just more hate, it does not end it.  Why is there division in this country?  Truth doesn’t divide, it presents a choice, but it doesn’t divide.  Those who reject truth, who hate, are the first to accuse others of hate, they are the ones who divide, not those who have truth and love.  Praying that you will reject hate, with love.  That you will love by speaking the truth in love.  That you will pray, that you will not be deceived by what many are trying to present as truth, but that you will be led by the Holy Spirit of God into all truth – just like He promised.  Praying that this nation will choose love, the love of God, and to love their neighbor, so love will overcome hate, and that those who love – will start a wave.  A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.  Praying that this nation – will reject the hate that will soon destroy it, and instead know the love of God – who helps us love others, even those different than us.  Praying that you will love… and pray with me… May God save America.

Have you ever wished for the sake of our country that someone would just end racism?  What could that mean to this nation, or any nation if racism were ended?  Can you imagine the unity that would result, and the power that would come from that unity?  That nation would be unstoppable – everyone would want to live there.  Recently racism raised it’s ugly head, and it was so obvious that the ones who were there, should have done something about it!  But no one did.  I was watching on a Sunday afternoon, a football game of the National Football League. This organization has taken the lead in fighting racism, committing over ninety million dollars to try and end it.  But strangely, if anyone were to try and make a case that racism was ending, or at least progressing in the right direction… they would likely point to this organization as proof.  The vast majority of it’s players are minority, averaging millions of dollars in salaries, if ever the argument could be made that racism could be ending, or at least improving, this could be it.  But what I noticed on that TV broadcast was both teams on the field in clear view of the End Zone.  On the outside edge of the endzone painted on the field was a banner within the boundary line.  That banner said, End Racism.   Immediately I thought – let’s do it!  I wondered what would happen if someone (like the lady in New York City) just went and painted over End Racism on the field.  If they just saw it, and rose up to do something about it, rather than just have the conversation… No doubt they would be tackled and arrested and prosecuted probably for a hate crime… when they were only trying to end racism.  They saw it right there in front of everybody, and immediately sprung into action to end it, to erase it.  But the fact that they would be tackled, arrested, and deemed a racist – leaves any rational thinker with only one inescapable conclusion.  Some people really - don’t want to end racism.  They want to make sure it continues.  Who are these people?  (Profiteers, Politicians, and Anarchists) Those who profit from it (the race baiters) those who gain power, or retain power by it (the politicians), and those intent on destroying the Constitution and this country – deeming it to be racist (the anarchists).  And these prefer Marxism in it’s place? (That bastion of freedom and utopia – that has utterly failed in every attempt in human history - ending in mass murder of innocent civilians?  I know, that’s where our family came from, that’s who murdered my grandfather).  In fact the NFL – whose teams are comprised of players who are 80% black, paid millions of dollars with money from their fans – who are 80% white, is perhaps the star witness, that racism could have a chance to improve in this country.  Unfortunately, their ninety million dollars to end racism is often given to organizations that do not end racism, but in actually – promote it – who teach it - in order to perpetuate it to separate and divide people.  Anytime you teach people that one pigment color is racist.  Any time you trumpet ‘White Supremacy,’ then the fundamental principle needed to convince people of the existence of white supremacy (when no current laws discriminate by color) you have to believe that one pigment is superior to another to create advantage.  That means if you accept that as a problem, you are agreeing with its premise.  Which also means if one pigment is superior, then another pigment is inferior.  How insulting… that’s racist.  By decrying white supremacy, you inherently believe in black or brown inferiority.  Which is as patently false, as the former.  God said we are all created in His image.  Every one of us.  God said people from every tribe and tongue and nation one day will stand before His Throne in Heaven.  Pigment contains zero difference, zero advantage or disadvantage, unless the person with that pigment sees everyone by race and treats one person differently than another because of it.  That is racism.  But God said every race, is the human race - created in God’s image, loved by Him eternally.  Any time you paint End Racism on a ball field of a national audience.  You permanently enshrine it – even if it could eventually become long past and forgotten about.  The primary racism that exists today – is the racism that is perpetuated by the NFL and other organizations like Education, Entertainment, and Government who constantly refer to it.  In fact, “Racism will never end as long as we keep mentioning it.”  Who said that?  Not some white supremacist, it was Morgan Freeman.  Did you get that?  Morgan Free-man.  His name defines him.  He’s free.  Those who think they are victim to a victimless crime, become crimeless victims.  We’re not talking about real crimes… bringing physical or financial harm to another person.  In every case by case, arrest them, and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law…  But for people, whatever your skin color, never teach your children that they are victims.  And never teach them that they are oppressors.   Never let anyone teach your children that their skin color determines their future, or their character or gives them any advantage or disadvantage. If you do, you are teaching them to be racist.  Instead, teach them what God says, that love conquers hate.  Teach them that you are what you do, not your skin color.  Teach them to be kind, to honor others above themselves, to give to the poor, they will be lending to the LORD, and He will repay them.  Teach them to serve those less fortunate, and to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.  Teach them to work hard, to believe that anything is possible if they work hard, and treat others with kindness, honor and respect.  Teach them that if they bring value to others, they will be compensated.  If they work hard, they will be rewarded.  If not by man, then surely by God, if not in this life, then surely in the life to come.  But to teach them that they are oppressed, or an oppressor – because of the pigment of their skin?  It is scientific foolishness, a complete lie – meant to divide and destroy.  It’s what the devil does, he’s a liar from the beginning.  Lies that are perpetuated with no current evidence to support them, are just ploys of control.  The party of slavery – always perpetuates slavery, if not with chains of the body, then with chains of the mind.  And anyone who calls someone racist, who just questions the fallacy – merely proves the point – that they themselves remain enchained.  Should we ignore the sins and injustice of the past, of course not, we need to remember, or history will repeat itself.  But eventually, until society realizes that they have been duped, and deceived, when will be ever move forward?  Until we finally move forward from the past, and determine to prevent it by not by perpetuating the lie that pigment contains advantage or disadvantage, but by doing things that honor and value every person no matter what the pigment of their skin… then racism, or the false accusation of racism will never cease to exist.  Who benefits from that?  Those who seek power, not the people who are subject under it.  I love what Ye West said recently.  “Cancel Black History month… I want black future month, black possibility month.”   And if we just could get there…  where Ye is… from where we are right now as a nation, then maybe we could even get to the next step.  Where there is a future month not a history month, that includes every color…  An American Future Month.  Where if you were born in this country, or come here by the laws which govern it.  If you follow it’s laws, and value it’s hopes, and commit to it’s principles of freedom and fairness for all, you too can have a future of possibilities – because everyone is treated equally, based on the quality of their character, not the color of their skin.  If we love people, because God loves them, we will respect one another because God tells us to.  And if we learn to live at peace with one another as God commands - every person in this nation can prosper – as long as God’s hand is upon this nation, and His grace is given to this land - the land of the free, and the home of the brave.  We will never cease to be the land of the free, unless we cease to be the home of the brave.  Freedoms are granted or usurped by governments.  But liberty is a human right, ordained by God for every person, for every nation, for every color, and every human.  May God Himself remove the deception, and bring truth to this nation.  If you are blinded to truth, you will never be free, but if you know the truth – it will set you free.  May God destroy every force that tries to remove and replace the Constitution of these United States of America - that guarantees the freedoms for every citizen of this nation equally.  A Constitution that reflects and protects the human rights that God created for every man, woman and child, (with the exception of the 3/5ths clause, that evil requirement that the Democrat party demanded or they would not sign it. – that had to be negated by amendment).  May God restore liberty and freedom to this nation, Freedom from sin which leads to death, so we can enjoy the blessings of life – for every last person, big or small, male or female, black or white, rich or poor.  In order to form a more perfect union so we walk in the unity where God commands a blessing.  May God forgive our sin, and heal our land.  God, we pray that You will Save America – that we will be a light to the world of the good news of your Son, and walk in the freedom that you have purchased for everyone.   Praying that you will love and respect every person that God created, so we can in this nation return to forming a more perfect union, that God can bless.

I just love God’s Word.  It tells about the righteous and the wicked.  There is only One who is righteous.  That’s God.  Our righteousness is only in Him.  What is righteous?  Right Standing and Right Doing.  You can never do enough to make yourself righteous… Once you sin once… humpty dumpty is broken, and all the king’s horses and all the king’s men, cannot put humpty dumpty back together again.  Once you sin, you’re a sinner, and sinners cannot live in heaven with God. He’s Holy.  They need a Savior, Someone Righteous, to pay the penalty their sin requires.  Only faith in Jesus’ death on the cross in your place, makes you righteous, and only the righteous can ever live for eternity in heaven with God.  Once you have been made righteous – then righteousness is not just right standing, but right doing.  That’s why He gives you the Holy Spirit and His grace to do it.  His blood is the power to Be right.  His Holy Spirit is the power that helps us do right.  We cannot do it on our own.  That’s why God says to walk in the Spirit so you don’t fulfill the desires of your old man.  So what is wicked?  Wicked is any thought or act that is less than God’s best – that dishonors or displeases him, that is contrary to His Word.  Have you ever noticed, wicked has a range…From wicker – a little off, not straight, a little crooked – to downright pure evil.    Sometimes the ‘little off,’ is more dangerous than pure evil on the wicked spectrum.  Pure evil is obvious and you would reject that outright.  It’s the ‘little off’ that can catch you, and entrap you.  Nothing worse than thinking you’re right when you’re not.  A man wise in his own eyes, there’s more hope for a fool than for him.  The only way wicked remains, is if the righteous do not reject it.  If compromise with God’s truth is allowed, and tolerated in your life, then wicked, a little off, will inevitably become pure evil.  For any nation in crisis.  God gave the solution.  If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways.  Then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and will heal their land.  The problem in this nation is sin.  We need forgiveness, and it starts with the wicked who are God’s people on the first part of the spectrum, and those who having lingered there long enough, have now bought into pure evil.  If my people, forget about the godless, God can handle them. If my people, called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray.  And seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways.  If we don’t humble ourselves, if we don’t pray, if we don’t seek His Face, and if we don’t turn from our wicked ways – not the wickedness we see in others, but the part of the spectrum that we are on… if we don’t He cannot - heal this land, it will be lost.  But if we will…  He will.  He promised.  If we will be humble, and pray, and seek Him with all of our heart, and turn from the wickedness in our lives – that He reveals by our seeking…  Then He Will hear from heaven, and forgive our sin, and heal this land.  Praise God.  He has never lied, He will do it.  Praying that you will reject wicked on every part of the spectrum in your life.  That you will be pure – unmixed, uncompromised, that you will love the LORD your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and all your might, and all your mind.  Nothing you are compromising with is the least bit worth it.  It is useless, fruitless, it is foolishness, only deception.  God has better!  Infinitely better!  Eternally better!.  Praying that you will seek His Face, and turn from anything else.  That you will know His plan for you today, and do it!  So you will know the God who is Good, Who has good for you, and Who will hear and forgive and heal.  So this nation can be saved.   God, would You save America.  So when we hear the Word of the LORD – what do we do, just read or hear?  Or do we act?  What if you got on your knees, or even skipped a meal, and humbled yourself.  What if you said, “God, I humble myself, I pray for your grace, I now seek your face, let me desire your presence, and your word more than anything else.  I turn from my wicked ways, anything that you did not tell me to do, or said not to do, I turn from it right here and now, I reject it.  Thank you for hearing from Heaven, thank you for your forgiveness, thank you for healing this land.  God, would You save America.  Let us be what You created us to be.  A light to the world, to share the good news of Jesus, and walk in the freedoms that are the God-given birthright of every human being – made in your image.  In Jesus’ Name.   Praying that you will act.  That you will reject not just pure evil, but wicked on every part of the spectrum.  His Holy Spirit and His Grace will help you – so God can hear from heaven, and forgive our sin, and heal this land.

I just love God’s Word.  It tells secrets that man doesn’t discover for decades, or centuries.  It exposes science and religion.  Religion affects Science – either positively or negatively.  And the worst science is when the worst science becomes a religion unto itself.  Like the flat-earthers – how many years were people convinced that science proves a flat earth?  Incomplete science may have done that for a minute… And the flat earthers so convinced that science was on their side, they persecuted those with a critical view (the very foundation of every new discovery in scientific history).  Had they only read the book of Isaiah the prophet. (40:32) – “He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth.”  Equally those who were fully and adamantly convinced of the settled science - that the sun revolved around the earth, persecuted anyone that dared question the science.  In fact when what was culturally held as science, became the stance of the church, anyone who questioned the mantra – were considered heretics.  My how history repeats itself.  God’s word reveals eternal truths of science, the discovery of the created, including human behavior – which is also part of the discovery of the created.  If anyone would know – it’s the Creator.  Have you ever noticed how often science is wrong?  Whether flat-earthers, or the bloodletting of the medical community.  They actually thought that bloodletting cleansed the body of ills.  Only to have countless patients (victims) die from loss of blood.  Science has always been wrong, until it discovers what God created.  What delays it? What delays scientific discovery?  When science is joined with religion or becomes a religion unto itself.  Science always gets delayed, to the severe detriment of many.  Around 1525 AD Copernicus studied under an astronomer named Novera – who introduced him to critical thinking regarding the current science of astronomy which had become a religion.  The advancement of science has always been accomplished on the fulcrum of critical thinking.  And when critical thinking has been forbidden, mostly because of religion, or science becoming a religion, the further discoveries of science have always been thwarted.   Anytime you have people insisting on science – with religious vehemence – you can be sure they oppose scientific discovery.  It is no different in this decade twenty years past 2000 AD, as it was in 1530 AD when Copernicus wrote of the potential of the earth orbiting around the sun.  His book wasn’t published until the year of his death 1543 – which saved him the injustice of being cancelled (literally) by those who claimed that science was on their side, when they were merely censoring critical thought and further discovery, in their rabid insistence of ignorance.  In this day – the “science” that justifies abortion, or climate – which has changed one degree in one hundred years, and has done that previously, or masks and vaccines which are useless, and poisonous – is merely their religion showing.  They use it to force people to believe in something and do something that is nowhere near proven, and if true, would be scientifically proven again and again.  So what harm could come from a critical scientific approach?  Well, great harm if you were vested in the current science for other reasons, like profit or power.  Like blood letting doctors, or up-until-then-respected astronomers.  Anytime information is censored or sequestered.  You can know that those who loudly yell about science, aren’t scientific at all, just gullible, and ignorant, religious zealots, easily delusion-ed pawns in a game about something far greater...  Yet they keep screaming, finger pointing, and shaming – in their complete ignorance – gullible colluders with those who fostered their delusion.  God laughs.  He makes sure that truth wins out, that liars are exposed, and that justice will prevail.  Remember your “New Information Filter” – which applies to any new information you hear in any arena of life.  #1 Is it True?  #2 Where is the evidence?  #3 What’s in it for them?  and #4 What does God say?  God always gets the final say, the final word, and the final judgment are eternally His.  Praying that you will be critical-thinkers, not criticizers – there’s a difference.  Praying that you won’t be easily led.  Because if you are, you will surely become easily mis-led.  Praying that you will be noble, like the Bereans.  Who didn’t just take what Paul said on face value – as truth… but studied the scriptures daily, to see if what Paul was saying, was really true. (Acts 17:11)  Praying that you will pray, and wait on the LORD, that you will search out the information that the current ‘religion of science zealots’ try to censor from public view; that you will know the truth, so you will be free.  Praying that you will not fear – that’s not the Spirit you have been given.  The Spirit God gave you is the Spirit of love, and a sound mind.  Love is always truth, it cannot exist without it.  And a sound mind is not misled, it is truth-led, eternal truth from the Creator, who is the God of all truth.   Praying that you will never join in with those who lack faith, or lack information, or lack truth, whether scientific, medical, moral, ethical, or societal.  There is one truth, God’s truth, it applies in every field and situation, and it will surely prevail.  Those who are led by the Spirit of God always seek and find and speak truth.  Those who are not led by the Spirit of God, do not know truth because the other spirit is from the father of lies, who has been a murderer from the beginning.  Praying that you will Test the Spirits (I John 4:1), that you will use your new information filter, that you will seek truth, rejoice in the truth (I Cor 13:6), and speak the truth in love (Eph 4:15).  That you will only speak what and when the Holy Spirit tells you (Luke 12:12).  That you will be silent, when it’s time to be silent (Acts 16:7), and speak when it’s time to speak (Acts 11:12), that your trust will be in the LORD, God - the Maker of Heaven and Earth, and the One to whom every king and every knee will bow.  Who loves the people of this world so much, that He sent His Son, to die in their place, to save them from their sin, to qualify them for heaven, and to know the truth – that will set them free.  Praying that you will pray in the Spirit, and obey in the Spirit, so you walk in the Spirit, so He can lead you in all truth.   Praying that you will become skilled in due diligence when it comes to what is being presented as truth.  That you will become skilled with the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, so your trust will be in the LORD, so your life will be built on truth, and your love for others will be evident to everyone.

I just love God’s Word.  It gives good counsel.  Today’s huddle is counsel for a New Husband.  So if you’re about to get married, if you recently got married, if you will be married some day, or have been married for a while, you can still be a new husband.  She might need one.  We’ve been ministering to young people for quite some time.  In fact the earliest ones are now in their late 40’s.  Some time ago, a man getting married asked for my counsel on how to lay down his life for His wife.  In asking God what He wanted me to share, here’s what He told me.  Praying that you will sift the message through the messenger by the Holy Spirit.  And may God bless you and your marriage.  
 
How To Lay Down Your Life For Your Wife. 
 
The first thing you need to know… she needs more than that.  Some guys lay their life down, they’re all about their woman, fancy restaurants, showered with flowers and gifts and clothes, thoughtful, romantic, they make them feel special, like they’re the only one in the world.  Some athletes are really good at it – they have a girl in every city.  Your wife needs more than that. 
 
Praying that you will Review the Relationship Topic - 11 Things You Need In A Husband.  Ask God to help you become that.  And start working on it today.  And don’t stop until your 50th Anniversary, and then start working on it some more. 
 
Other than that… here’s what your wife needs from you. 
 
#1 Character.  Be someone she can respect.  Your job is to love her, her job is to respect you.  But if you aren’t respectable, it’s really hard for her.  She does it out of duty, not desire.  Character.  It has to do with being honorable, and bottom line… Are You Trustworthy?  If your character isn’t something she respects… if she doesn’t trust you, laying down your life for her rings disingenuous.  God said, “Above all else get wisdom.”  It will build character if you act on it consistently.  PRISM – Insight from the Word.  If you soak in God’s wisdom, wisdom will become you.  You won’t be like the fool at the city gate, with nothing to say.  God will bring wisdom, and with it, wealth, honor, and life.  Your character will reflect God’s wisdom, and it will make you the man she respects the most.  She will then become the Proverbs 31 Woman that she was created for, as you encourage her and build her up in every way, and enable her to grow into all that God wants her to be.
 
#2 Vision.  If you aren’t going anywhere, if you don’t even know where you’re going… why would she want to follow you?  She needs you to lead.  She wants a husband that knows where he’s going, that everyone respects, that she can be proud of.  She wants a leader, not someone who tries to control her, or demand things from her, not someone who is always squelching her ideas, or vision, or her potential,  But she needs you to hear from God… to know where you’re going, so she can decide if she wants to hitch her horse to your wagon.  Some guys are all about their wife, they want to ‘lay down their life’ and it may work for a minute, but soon it will become vastly insufficient.  She won’t want you to lay down your life, she will want you to get a life!  That she wants to be a part of!  No wife wants to the be only center of attention in their husbands life, they want to be an equal, valued partner, in a journey that is worthy of her lifetime investment.  Get Vision.  You can only get it from God.  Ask Him to show you, follow where He leads you.  PiVAT for this year, this month, and this week will help you greatly.  It’s vision practice.  See the PRISM Topic – Life Purpose & Direction.  Your vision comes from God’s Presence, and His Word.  Spend time there consistently, and you will always have the vision you need, the plans He has for you, even the details of the plan that she will want to join you in!  You were created for a purpose.  Your story is the best story ever – other than His.  It’s the story you were created for – together!  A story that God has designed for both of you.  Stay close to the Source, and you’ll have the vision you need, and the vision she wants to join you in.  Her vision is complete in yours together, just like yours is. 
 
#3 Relationship.  She cannot be your first relationship.  If God isn’t first, she won’t really feel first. She may think she wants to be first, but she really wants to be second.  Your relationship with God is the key to you truly laying down your life for your wife.  If you haven’t first laid down your life for Christ, you can never love her as Christ loves the church.  PiVAT – is vision for you.  PRISM is steroids for your character.  4C’s is faithfulness financially – love for God, not money – it’s security for her.  So she can follow with hope and trust.  Daily Call – it’s how you get sharpened, so you grow in laying down your life for Christ, then for her, and it’s how you overcome the enemy – of your soul, and your marriage.  PiVAT Small Group – it’s how you walk closely, transparently with a small group of others – provoking one another to love and good works.  Their obedience and testimony will challenge you.  Just hang out time isn’t deep enough for the most valuable friendships.  Fellowship is important, developing friendships for this season and for life, that will encourage you in your vow to God and each other. 
 
#4 Listen.  She doesn’t want you to lay down your life, if you don’t listen.  It will seem controlling, not real.  If you don’t listen to what she says, she won’t feel valuable, and if she doesn’t feel valued, everything you do to lay down your life, will seem fake.  It will work against you.  Work on becoming a good listener, before you work on laying down your life.  Listening is the key to communication, and communication is vital to a strong marriage.  How do you listen?  Make it your habit to ask a clarifying question when she speaks.  It will let her know you are listening. She’ll feel listened to, honored, valued.  It will help her clarify her own thoughts, so you can understand her even better, and it will guard against you just giving your opinion or trying to fix her.  They hate that.  ‘Tell me more’ is infinitely more valuable than “let me tell you what I think.”  When you listen, ‘seek to understand, not be understood.’  And she will feel listened to.  Listen for thoughts and feelings.  How does that make you feel?    Not when she just poured out her feelings.  That will just make her think you weren’t listening.  And learn to leave some things unsaid.  You might know the obvious answer immediately, but now’s not the time.  Sometime the best answer is silence, and a hug.  Not a solution, or your opinion – everybody’s got one.  She needs more than that. 
 
#5 Be Correctable.  Be humble, be willing to take correction from her.  If you don’t take it, she will no longer give it, why bother, you aren’t humble enough to receive it.  If you take her correction, and act on it.  She will feel valued, she will feel like a partner, she will be glad she married you, she will feel honored.  And you will become a much better person, and husband, and leader and influencer.  God sent you a helpmate for a reason.  You need one!  And He sent you her for a reason, she is the exact one that you need.  Her counsel, other than the Holy Spirit is the most valuable counsel you will ever receive.  And if you are not humble, you will never receive it.  Ask her for it, and then act on it. And you will get more.   Demonstrate humility by being correctable.  It will help you.  If you won’t even value her counsel, then laying down your life won’t mean much to her.  She won’t believe it. 
 
#6  Sex is marriage.  What?  Marriage is more than sex.  Maybe, but without sex, it’s not marriage, it’s just roommates.  Marriage isn’t only sex.  Friends with benefits isn’t marriage.  But if you’re married, sex is the most important thing there is.  It’s a spiritual bond that God created, it is the ultimate physical demonstration of oneness – after spiritual and emotional. God said your body doesn’t belong to you, it belongs to her, and her body doesn’t belong to her, it belongs to you.  And you can tell a Godly man, verses a dog, by how he treats sex in marriage.  Be about her, not you.  If you’re good for thirty seconds, that is not the marriage that God intended.  Hardly what she has dreamed of.  The first thing you need to know about sex.  Sex starts in the kitchen.  For women sex is an experience, a relationship, not an act.  This culture has trained women, to think they’re equal to men by being duped into transactional sex.  It’s not true.  Sex in a marriage is what is uniquely yours together.  From the day you get married til the day you die.  It is vital in a marriage.  If your sex life sucks, your marriage sucks.  If your sex life is great, you can continue to work on your marriage.  Marriages don’t work among selfish people.  Sex life doesn’t work among selfish people.  Be selfless in your sex life with your wife.  This is really about her.  You’re good no matter what… Don’t rob her of the mutual benefit, she wants to please you as well… but be about her, learn what brings pleasure to her.  Talk about it.  But sometimes there can be too much talking.  No woman wants a husband who asks permission about everything.  And stop talking about being romantic, if you have to tell her you’re being romantic, it’s not romance, you’re just a nerd.  Learn what sweeps her off her feet, and do it.  Sometimes you just need to lead, and learn what makes her feel the most valued.  You don’t need any outside training in your sex life.  Discover the joys of what God created sex to be – together your wife – you’ve got plenty of time – a lifetime.  You don’t need to imitate what the godless do.  That should never enter your marriage.  You won’t get better at sex by learning from Bubbles and Bambi.  Inappropriate in a Godly marriage.  God will lead you together.  You will discover new things in your sex life for years to come.  In fact, if you haven’t had sex with just one woman (your wife) for at least twenty years, you don’t know anything about sex.  God created sex to be the number one thing in marriage, because it’s what you share with only one other person in your lifetime, your wife or your husband – it’s what makes you one – not the marriage certificate.   The sexual relationship between husband and wife, reflects the intimacy that God desires for his bride the church.  That’s not weird, that is spiritual, not physical in nature, it’s spiritually discerned.  God created sex for procreation, and pro-relation.  It’s not just to make babies, it’s to make a great marriage.  Ask God to lead your sex life, talk about it. Honor and serve each other.  If you’re going to lay down your life for your wife, be sure you do it in this area.  She deserves it – she has to put up with you, and she’s stuck with you.  Become someone she wants to have sex with, so your sex life is always getting better.  It’s what God created marriage to be. (And the last thing that should go without mentioning.  Your sex life is none of anyone else’s business.  That’s between you and her and God.  Honor the marriage bed, keep it holy – set apart, and God will bless it and bless your marriage with it.
 
#7 Security – Make sure what you do as a husband always has her feeling secure in her life and in your love.  Some guys are so busy pursuing their wants that they sacrifice their wife’s security.  No, you don’t need the sports car right now, or the boat, or motorcycle. She needs to live in, and have your kids live in, a safe neighborhood.  The first thing of security is physical.  Don’t live in the hood.  If she doesn’t feel safe, you need to work to provide a safe place to live.  God does it not you, but she needs to feel safe.  #2 Don’t take her places where you cannot protect her.  You have no business in the hood at midnight, it doesn’t matter how nice the restaurant or how good the club is.  That’s not where you should be or take your wife to.  Her safety is your responsibility.  #3 Be aware of your surroundings.  You can’t protect her against three or four guys.  You aren’t Joe Frazier.  Don’t take her public places where security could be absent. That’s on you.  #4  Financial Stability is an important part of her feeling secure and protected.  It’s not how much you have in the bank.  Are you living on less than you make, and most importantly - Do you know where God’s Money is, so you can do what He tells you to do with it?  If not, money becomes a ‘he said, she said.’  Sex and Money are the two biggest things in marriage – that will make or break it.  Divorce is 95% one of those two things.  A 4C’s Tool is vital.  You need to be faithful with God’s money – you need to ask Him, and obey with money together.  If you do, she will feel secure financially.  Don’t spend all that you make, only a fool does that.  God says save for the future.  God has not called you to live paycheck to paycheck, He’s just called you to obey with every financial decision.  It will help her feel secure.  Make giving - a heart priority.  If you give, your life will be full of joy, and God will always make sure you have enough.  Become a hilarious giver, it’s part of what will guarantee her financial security for a lifetime.  Additionally -  Protect her emotionally. God says honor her as the weaker vessel, not less valuable, she’s a treasure.   Protect her from attacks emotionally.  People are selfish, and will always try to manipulate or control you.  Don’t let anyone do that to her, not even her friends or family members.  Always stand up for her.  Set boundaries.  And do not let anyone cross them. Anticipate potentially detrimental circumstances, or entanglements, and reject them.  Some relationships may need to be curtailed, or ended completely.  Do not allow any relationships that drain her.  God has better.  Protect your wife, physically, financially, emotionally.  It’s your job. 
 
#8  Non-Negotiables.  What are non negotiables in your marriage?  Talk about them.  A few suggestions.  #1  Hedges  - See the Relationship Topic – Hedges.  A vital thing to honor your wife or husband. Is Hedges for your marriage.   It’s not overkill, it will save your marriage from sure destruction.  #2  Never… ever. Tell a joke at your wife’s expense.  Any guy who slams his wife, or her cooking, or anything she does or isn’t good at yet, is a piece of garbage.  You would really embarrass your wife, for a cheap laugh from people that don’t care one bit about you, they care about themselves. Whoever does that isn’t deserving of a wife, much less the treasure that God gave you.  Never make a joke at your wife’s expense in public.  You can tease each other in private, but even then… be very careful.  Your words either build or tear down.  Your wife is a part of you – the most important part – why would you ever cut her down.  Senseless. Instead, go out of your way to avoid any embarrassing situation.  You should see it coming.  Protect her, by avoiding the conversation altogether, change the subject, redirect any attention toward her that would make her feel awkward or embarrassed.  Be like the mother bird, that captures the predator’s attention and draws them away from the one they love.  That’s your job.  Another thing, the four-letter word you should never use…  Divorce.  It’s a curse word even more than four letter words are.  It should never be in your vocabulary.  Burn the ships.  That’s not an option. Ask God to reveal for you what your non-negotiables are in your marriage.  He’ll show you – it will be a blessing.  You’ll honor each other by them.
 
#9 Words.  Your words bring life or death.  No one wants to be married to a husband that always sees the glass half full.  I’m just realistic.  No, your negative.  It’s a drain, a downer.  It is adding to her burden, not taking her burdens from her, it’s adding to – not lightening her load – which is your job to do as her husband.  She’s not your shrink, she’s not your mother, it’s not her job to prop up your fragile self-esteem.  Your identity should be in Christ – He’s the Overcomer.  She’s your wife.  Don’t let negative words come out of your mouth.  Always speak life.  What you speak – creates her life, not just yours.  Not only do you get what you say, she gets it too.  She’s stuck with you.  Love her enough to speak life.  (See the PRISM Topic – Speak Life, Say, As For Me)  Create a life for her with your words that is faith, hope, love, and joy.  She lives the life of your words.  They will accelerate her, or shackle her, they will keep her bound, or set her free.  Let your words be life. 
 
#10 Date Your Wife.  Set time and money aside to just go out and do something outside of every day life.  It doesn’t have to be expensive.  Just because you got her to sign the marriage certificate doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still pursue her.  Doing things together that are fun and regularly scheduled, give you both something to look forward to.  Shared experiences deepen your relationship.  Get creative – she will appreciate the effort.  Learn to date your wife. 
 
#11 Give Her Space  - She needs interests and pursuits that don’t require you to be there.  Things she does just for her, that God is calling her to.  And friendships with other Godly women, who spur each other on to love and good works.  Give her space for reflection, and interests that allow her to flourish.  You don’t have to be there for everything.  When you get back together – you can share with each other, and always encourage her in the things God has gifted her in, and is calling her or drawing her to. 
 
Finally – Remember…  Love is a language.  The best way to lay down your life, is to love her in her language, not just yours.  Learn her love language, but love her in all of them.  (The Five Love Languages by Gary Smalley)  Be intentional.  It might just seem that you are going through the motions.  But if your heart is sincere, that will quickly fade.  Just like a date night that is scheduled, doesn’t make it less of a good experience.  Schedule times with your wife whether dates, or intimacy, and be intentional about loving her in her primary love language, but also in every one of them as well. 
 
Praying that you will lay down your life for your wife, like Jesus lays down His life for the church.  That you will know that she needs more than that.  That you will become the husband she has always dreamed of.  That she will always be glad she married you. That she’d do it again!  God has a marriage for both of you - like no other.  You can have the best marriage ever!  Your kids and others are watching, as well as a great cloud of witnesses.  Other than Salvation and the Holy Spirit, she is the best gift God has ever given you.  No investment in her is too great, or not worth it.  She’s invaluable.

I just love God’s Word.  It gives secrets, and the Holy Spirit then takes it and tells you what it really means, and what you can do to walk in it.  Psalms 92:4 - For you make me glad by your deeds O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands.  Are you glad?  Why not?  You’re not glad because you are not remembering His Deeds.  If He makes you glad by His deeds, and you are not glad… You are not thinking of what He did, you’re just thinking of something less than ideal that happened, or might happen to you.  You are not focused on His deeds, you’re focused on your fears, or your situation.  If you want to be glad, you get glad by His Deeds.  He makes you glad by His deeds.  If you want to get glad.  Then sing for joy at the works of His hands.  You have to be focused on His deeds, and His works if you are going to be glad.  If your joy is to remain, you must focus on Him, His Word, His Deeds, His Works.  And if you are not fully obeying in this moment, in this day that the LORD has made to bring forth His deeds, then you won’t see them.   You have to obey what He tells you, what He’s planned for you today - to see the deeds He wants to do.  So He can make you glad with them.  You aren’t just limited to His former deeds,  He has new deeds waiting.  Waiting for you to trust and obey.  Just waiting for you to follow and see, so you can be glad and rejoice again in the new ones – as well as the old.  He is the One who makes you glad!  You don’t make you glad, your spouse isn’t the one who makes you glad – that’s not their job… or your family or your friends, certainly not money, or things…  He makes you glad.  “For you make me glad by your deeds O LORD.”  He doesn’t just love you – He does something.  He shows it, He proves it again and again, day by day, even though what He has done has already proved it forever.   He’ll do it again today, He just needs you to obey.   God has more deeds that He wants to unfold for you to see.  And He’s just waiting on you to obey so you can sing for joy at the works of His hands.  Just start with what He has done.  Sing about them.   Verse 5  “How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts!”   Even what God thinks about you is worth singing about, and praising Him for.  His thoughts towards you are good, they are countless.  Psalms 138:17 - "How precious are your thoughts about me O God, how vast is the sum of them!"  Psalms 40:5 – “Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us.  None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.”  The thoughts you think toward me O LORD, are good, full of love and compassion, You give everything we need, our rest and our hope, and our peace, and our joy is in you.  You make me glad by your deeds.  You always draw me close, you always give me your word, the word for today, the word of this moment, your word of love and truth, and assignment – so you can do the next deeds that will make me glad, as I sing for joy at the work of your hands!  Praying that you will be glad today.  Why not?  His deeds are enough to make you glad, what He’s done and what He’s planned, His thoughts towards you are good.  He makes you glad by His deeds.  Praying that you’ll obey today – so God can do everything He wants to do… to make you glad.  Praying that you will sing for joy about it.  You don’t have to feel joy right now to sing for joy, you start, He’ll finish.  Just sing for joy at the works of His hands, the more you sing the more you’ll remember, and the more your joy will come.  He makes you glad by His deeds.  Your job is to sing for joy about it.  And obey today, so He can do it again.
