Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It tells of God’s Power. And it tells of powerful things we can do, for our increase. Psalms 89:2 – I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you established your faithfulness in heaven itself. Why did David declare that God’s love stands firm forever? It has no impact on God’s love… David’s declaration didn’t ensure it or add to it, or have any effect on preventing it from waning. It stands firm forever – from before David was born – throughout eternity. Unchanging, and unchangeable. So why declare, “Your love stands firm forever! Why remind yourself, and commit yourself to declare, “Your love stands firm forever." Your love for me stands firm forever, your love for your people, stands firm forever. Those who call on Your Name, who have put their faith in your Son Jesus as their Savior, stands firm forever. Your love for the lost and the sinner stands firm forever – You give them every possible opportunity to repent and turn to You. And He remembers their sins no more. So why declare? Your love stands firm forever!” It’s not for Him, it's for you! It is part of worship… any time you declare God’s truth, God’s character, God’s promise, and His track record, it’s part of worship… But your declaration doesn’t maintain it or sustain it. It stands firm forever. Your declaration, your proclamation, your statement of complete assurance, aligns your faith by your own words – with who God is and what He promised. It’s that kind of faith that pleases God, for without faith it is impossible to please him. Your declaration sets your faith, and sets your actions. So you act like you believe, before you even see. You see it through faith! It becomes sight to you. Praying that today you will declare what God declares, that you will declare who God is, and what He promised. That you will declare what you will do. Psalms 71:14 - As for me, I will always have hope, I will praise you more and more. My mouth will tell of your righteousness and your salvation all day long, though I know not its measure. I will obey your word (Psalms 119:17) I will obey your instructions and put them into practice (Psalms 119:34) O Lord, you are my portion, I will obey your word! (Psalm 119:57) Your love (for me) stands firm forever! Praying that you will declare in worship and faith, so your word reveals the power of His Word! How does your word reveal the power of His Word? Because if you declare it, you will believe it, and if you believe it, you will do it, and if you do it He will do what He promised! Praying that you will declare! His love (for you) stands firm forever! Love you all, dad

Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It’s an example. It gives secrets. In the beginning God created the heavens and earth. God is a creator. His Words create. It all started when God said, “Let there be light.” He also revealed a powerful secret. Let us create man in our image, male and female created He them. We are created in the image of the Creator. And just like His Words create, so do yours. Your words create your life. So what are you saying? David is a wonderful example. He always said who God is, what God does, and what he, David will do in response. The devil isn’t a creator, he’s a liar, a twister, a destroyer, a ruiner of everything good. He always tempts you to choose your sin nature, over your spiritual inheritance in Christ. Your Words are so important. Two of my favorite… “Not Today.” Every day the devil tries to bring temptation, the invitation to sin. The option of doing less than God’s best. There’s always an opportunity to worry, to doubt, to fear, to be prideful, to complain, to criticize, to not do, what God told you to do, right now. To skip the habits that bring success, and to neglect the conversations with your Heavenly Father – that draw you near. Your Words create. You can talk to God, you can talk to yourself, and you can talk to the devil, to this mountain. Your words fill your heart, they direct your thoughts, and establish belief, and they obligate your actions. The next time you face a temptation, or a compromise, a fruitless choice. Let your words create victory. Every time your word – is God’s word – your victory is sure. I can always fear tomorrow, but not today. Psalms 46:1 - God is my refuge and strength a very present help in trouble. Though the earth be removed and the mountains be cast into the middle of the sea – I will not fear! I can always complain tomorrow, but not today. Psalms 34:1 - I will bless the LORD at all times, His praise will continually be in my mouth. I can always doubt tomorrow, but not today. James 1:6 - He who doubts is like a wave tossed by the sea… I can always criticize tomorrow, but not today. Ephesians 4:29 - Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs that it may benefit those who listen? I can always sin tomorrow, but not today. Psalms 101:3 - I will set before my eyes no unclean thing, the deeds of faithless men I hate, they will not cling to me. I can always be lazy tomorrow, but not today. Proverbs 12:24 - Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in slave labor. I can always quit tomorrow, but not today. Philippians 2:13 – For it is God who works in you both to will and to act according to his good purpose. He gives you the want to and the power to - do what pleases Him! He gives you the power to do what He told you to do today! I can always give up tomorrow, but not today. Luke 18:1 – Then Jesus told them a parable to show them that they should always pray and never give up. Praying that you will know God’s will for you today, and know His Word for you today. PiVAT before dinner and PRISM throughout the day will help you! Praying that the words you use, that create your life, are always His Word. You can always fail tomorrow, but not today. Psalms 56:13 – For you have delivered my soul from death, and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life. God’s right hand is holding you, His power is propelling you, His Spirit is guiding you. His grace is enough for you. His victory is yours when His Word becomes your word! He has overcoming for you! Today! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It’s truth. And that’s a big deal! Have you ever been without truth? Basing your life or your feelings or actions on something that isn’t even true? If you’re blinded to truth, life sucks. Everything you do and say and think, and are… is fake, fruitless, futile. Praise God for His Word. That’s why PRISM is so important – those five things you can do every day in God’s Word– that guarantee your success, and save you from destruction. God’s Word is what God says. Everything He says is true. It’s for your good! The enemy, everything he says is a lie. He’s a liar, He’s going to hell and he wants to take you with him. Stay in God’s Word so truth is the foundation of your life, and what you build upon. God reminded me of the importance of one step. I just love that God’s warnings, are also invitations. Warnings of what not to do, but an invitation to do what is good and right, that yields great reward. Be careful of your next step. You are only one step away from destruction, but you are even more – only one step away from deliverance and victory! Talk to any addict, and one decision – can send you spiraling back into bondage. But God’s truth is even more sure than that. One step towards the Fear of the LORD, one decision to repent and turn, one decision to obey what God told you to do next… can send you spiraling upward by his grace to His glory. That one step towards God – and He can forgive, heal, deliver, strengthen, He sends his Holy Wind for your sails, and that one step becomes the pattern of your life. Salvation was one step. The first step in His direction. Being filled with the Holy Spirit was just one next step – to receive power to live the life of good that He created you for! Just one choice of His will over what your flesh desires… and His goodness and mercy can follow you all the days of your life. Praying that you will do PiVAT before dinner today. If you missed yesterday, that you’ll just do it right now. It’s how you get your next step – the thing He has planned for you – and it’s so Good! Starting right now! The devil can’t stop you from God’s forgiveness, faithfulness and loving kindness. So he’ll try to tell you you’re too far gone, you’ve strayed too far from the path. He’s lying again. It’s all he does. It doesn’t matter where you are or how far you’ve fallen. One step towards God will establish the rest of your life. This can be your life-time victory step! And it might be surprisingly little… And it doesn’t matter where you are. Even if you had never fallen, and instead been way ahead on that journey to God’s blessing. Every day is the same choice. Like the person up to their neck in debt. One step of obedience – and that curse of debt is as removed that very first day, as the day they write their last check to payoff their mortgage. Because if you’re neck deep, or now only ankle deep, the obedience is the same. The faith is the same. The first step is the same. It’s just trusting that what God says is true, and that He has good for you. That if you follow, He will go with you, and before you, and surround you! And if you choose Him, He will bring victory and deliverance, and joy to every step. Praying that your first step from here is exactly what God has told you. So every good thing that He wants to give you is guaranteed! He guarantees it, you just walk in it. It doesn’t matter where you start, or where you are. How far you’ve come or how far you have yet to go. The victory is in this step. The first step you take right now determines your direction – there is an end to every path. Praying that you will always step towards Him, what He tells you to do next, right now! He is faithful. He can restore what the devil has stolen, He can reverse the curse, and accelerate the blessing. He can take you further in one step that He directs – than a lifetime of steps you think will help but will get you nowhere. Ask Him, He’ll tell you. He can’t wait for that first step. You can get there from here! If it seems you’re heading in the wrong direction lately. take that first step. If you’ve been making progress, but you have a long way to go, take that first step. If you’re almost there, and you’re wondering if you can finish, take that first step. He is faithful! And it’s so worth it! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God's Word. He doesn't just tell you, He tells you what He told you for. God tells you things for four reasons. So that you might believe, so that you might have peace, so that you won't go astray, and so that you will have joy. Have you ever known someone that couldn’t resist… they have to say – “I told you so.” Half the time they got lucky, but they just want to rub it in your face. Praise God! He is not like that. He does say I told you… so... He tells you why. He doesn’t tell you after the fact, He does it beforehand. And even if you screw up, He doesn’t remind you of your failure, He reminds you of His faithfulness. I just love God’s Word. Everything He says is on purpose. Have you ever heard people talk, just to talk. It’s amazing how little they can say in so many words. Jesus is the exact opposite. He spoke on purpose, every word He spoke has purpose. John 12:50… So whatever I say is just what the Father told me to say. John 13:15 – I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Verse 17: Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. God longs to bless you – so He tells you what you need to know, what you need to say, what you need to believe, what you need to do, and where you need to be – to be blessed. God tells you for a purpose. And He even tells you what the purpose is. #1 He tells you so that you might believe. John 14:29 – I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. #2 He tells you so you can live in His peace. John 16:33 – I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. #3 He tells you so you don’t go astray, lose focus, get distracted and wander from His presence, and His covering and His blessing. John 16:1 – All this I have told you so that you will not go astray. #4 He tells you so you can be filled with joy. The joy He gives! John 15:10 – If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. My command is this; Love each other as I have loved you… you are my friends if you do what I command. So what is God telling you? And what is He telling you for? What does He want you to know, so that you will believe, so that you will have peace, so that you won’t go astray, so that His Joy may be in you, and your joy may be full? Praying that PiVAT will direct your day. His plans not yours, it’s how you hear and obey what He has for you. Praying that PRISM will be what you always come back to. Its how you hear what He says, so that you will believe, and have peace, and His Joy. Praying that your Daily Call – has you overcoming every day – just like He told you. So you can overcome. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word – it is simple, not easy, but simple. It gives you bite sized portions, that you can apply immediately, it clarifies your choice, and foretells the result. It always has a good return. It highlights every choice, and everything is a choice. The investment is obedience, it’s action more than money. Psalms 86:1-4 – Hear O LORD and answer me for I am poor and needy. Guard my life, for I am devoted to you. You are my God, save your servant who trusts in you. Have mercy O God for I call to you all day long. Bring joy to your servant, for to you I lift up my soul. First, if you’re humble – if recognize your need for Him, and ask… He will answer. If you are devoted to Him, you’re his servant… He is your God, not just God. If you are devoted to Him, He will guard your life. Guarding you is keeping you on the right path, the best path. If you trust in Him, He will save you? Trust is to put your full weight on, your full belief in. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Don’t lean on anything else. In all your ways acknowledge Him (as what? As LORD - Do what He tells you to do) so He can direct your path. Its how He guards you. God saves you in an instant, but most often He saves you on a path. A path to His Good! Choice by choice. If you call to Him all day long, He will have mercy on you. He knows we are just flesh, made of dust. He has mercy for mistakes, even for struggles, and He has Grace (Divine power) – for every choice to be your victory. His grace is enough to turn this choice - into victory. His grace is enough right now – to help you make the choice of victory, not defeat. If you lift up your soul to Him, He will bring joy. Your soul tends to what is natural, your spirit leans toward spirit. Whatever you lift up your soul to, will produce victory, or defeat. If you lift up your soul to Him, that means you are turning from the desires of the world, and training your soul to desire Him. It’s how He brings you joy. A complete and deeply abiding happiness at what is presently experienced, and what is fully expected. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life! And then, I get to dwell in the House of the LORD forever. It just gets better! This life isn't struggle free, but God has victory for you, and a sure end. Praying that you will be devoted to Him – so He guards you. That you will fully trust in Him, so He saves you, that you will call out to him – so His mercy finds you, and that you will lift up your soul to Him, so He brings joy to your life – that nothing else can ever compare with. If you ask, He will answer, If you trust, you will obey, and if you trust and obey, He will save you and lead you and guide you. His path is always victory - and He always brings unexplainable joy. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word – it re-arranges your thoughts, it calibrates your mind to what is true. The plumb-line of Gods truth. It distinguishes truth from what seems like truth. The Bible has some shocking accounts, that you would never think could happen. John 18:28 – Then the Jews led Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness the Jews did not enter the palace; they wanted to be able to eat the Passover. Oh, this is just too rich, they are willing to murder an innocent man, but don’t want to set foot into the governors palace so as not to prevent them from eating the Passover. Could there be a greater irony ever? They don’t want to miss the Passover – but are about to kill the very Passover Lamb, that the Passover represents. (The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world) that the Passover has been foretelling for generations. Because of Jesus’ death for our sins, in our place, (the Passover Lamb) the angel of death that was the wages of sin – will Pass Over forever for those who put their full trust in Him – and His sacrifice to be their Savior. Jesus the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. He is the Passover Lamb that they wanted to go and celebrates after they killed him. It’s almost too hard to read. So Pilate came out to them and asked, “What charges are you bringing against this man?” “If he were not a criminal,” they replied, “we would not have handed him over to you.” What a joke. We handed him over because he’s a criminal, and he’s a criminal because we handed him over. The textbook definition of tautology, they can’t even pass Logic 101. Pilate said, “Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.” “But we have no right to execute anyone,” the Jews objected. (So now we get to it. They want this guy killed. It doesn’t matter that he’s innocent, that he never broke any law, they hated him, and the end of hatred is always murder.) That’s why Jesus said, if you hate someone in your heart – it’s just like murder. Jesus brings a higher standard than even the ten commandments and the law.) This happened so that the words Jesus had spoken indicating the kind of death he was going to die would be fulfilled. Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” “Is that your own idea,” Jesus asked, “or did others talk to you about me?” “Am I a Jew?” Pilate replied. “It was your people and your chief priests who handed you over to me. What is it you have done?” Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. My kingdom is from another place.” “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” “What is truth?” Pilate asked. What did he say? Didn’t he just hear what Jesus said? Can you imagine? Jesus just told him why he came – to testify to truth. That means you can know what truth is… and who it is. And every person on the side of truth listens to him. Truth always forms sides. Because evil hates truth. You’re either on the side of truth, or you’re not. You either listen to what Jesus says, or you don’t. Have you ever noticed that some people cannot see truth, even if it’s standing right in front of them? Pilate could have just asked, Tell me about this truth that you have come to testify to. And perhaps Jesus have told him, just as He told His disciples. I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one gets to the Father (in Heaven) except through me. Truth has a side. And every person needs to choose. Why is truth so important? Because it determines your eternity. But also your life here, even the length of it. God said, my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Praying that you will know the truth, so the truth will set you free. If you know the WORD of God, by the Holy Spirit of the Living God, then you will know truth. You’ll be able to recognize it, and it will set you free. You will never be destroyed because you lack knowledge. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me. Praying that you will be in PRISM every day – to hear Him speak, so you will know what truth is - by the Holy Spirit whom He has sent. Some people don’t know what truth is? Especially today. But Jesus said, if you listen to me, he’s saying - if my Word is in you, discernment will come easy to you. Those who don’t recognize truth, become enslaved by lies. Those who hear God’s Voice, who know His Word – are on the side of truth, and remain free. Those who do not know God’s Word, do not know truth, and are easily deceived, they end up on the other side, opposed to truth, enslaved by deception. People who claim they speak and know the truth, are often lying. They deceive others as they themselves have been deceived. God loves truth, because He is truth. He hates lies, that come from the father of lies and oppose truth. Have you noticed that liars call the truth a lie? They don’t listen to God’s Word – so they don’t know truth, they oppose it. Praying that your PRISM time in His Word, has you always hearing truth, so discernment becomes easy, and truth becomes obvious. So the freedom that Christ died for remains the freedom that you walk in. Praying that you will always be on the side of truth – because you listen to what the LORD says. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. God uses it to give you what you need for each day. Sometimes He drops bombs, sometimes just quick reminders – reinforcing what you already know, but always with new life, and new hope. Psalms 86:1 – Hear O LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. We don’t always hear what God, the LORD will say, because we don’t always listen. But God always hears what you say, because His ears are always attentive to your cry, like the Good Shepherd, and loving Heavenly Father that He is. David says he is poor and needy. Not penniless, poor of spirit, humble, pressed down, and needy. He cannot do it on his own. He has neither the strength nor the wisdom of what is best to do. But God hears and answers, not because you are poor and needy. There is poor and needy everywhere (and most don’t realize it). Revelation 3:17 – You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with them, and they with me. Poor and needy, don’t mean without money, or means. It means recognizing your need for God, His Word, His Will, and His ways above yours. Yet God doesn’t respond to need, He responds to faith. He hears and answers David, not because He is poor and needy, but because David asks. He humbles himself and cries out to God, recognizing his condition and his need, and recognizing God’s Greatness and Power, and His mercy and compassion, His love and goodness for all who call on His Name. God hears the cries of the poor and needy who come to him for help! Praying that you will always call out to the LORD, that you will recognize your need for Him, but also His great faithfulness for you. If you call, He will answer, He will save you and deliver you, He will strengthen you and guide you, He will fulfill the purpose He has for you – starting today. Poor and needy isn’t low self-esteem, it is just a recognition of your limits, and His limitless power and love for you. Praying that you will cry out to Him every day. That you will know that He hears, and that He answers, because His love for you is so great. Your need doesn’t prevent Him, your failures don’t stop Him. Everyone who calls on Him in their time of need, whether your life is going great, or you are walking through difficult trials. Everyone who asks, receives, everyone who calls, He answers. It might not be what you expect, or how you imagined, but it is exactly what you need – His perfect timing, for His best in your life. So He gets the glory, and you get the blessing. Praying that you will call, so He can answer. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It gives principles. It gives practical application. It gives multiple layers of truth – and it’s transportable. Sometimes there’s more than meets the eye. Sometimes you wonder why God would have you read this today in your PRISM time. Some things are not just about this thing, you can take it with you to use in other places. In fact those who understand that truth applies everywhere, are the most effective, because they let God’s Word affect everything. Proverbs 20:1 – Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise. Wow, so much in so few words. This isn’t about wine and beer. This is about being led astray, mocking and brawling. You might not have a problem with drinking. But this truth is transportable. Whoever is led astray. Astray is to wander, to get a little off track, lose focus, and before you know it, you are getting further and further from the path that God has for you. Don’t miss the obvious, but don’t miss the unseen either. If you are led astray, someone or something is leading you that is not Christ, so it’s not love, and not truth. What could you be led astray to? Mocking and brawling. Mocking is a sinful fleshly act based on misbelief. Deception. There are those who mock others – when they themselves are blinded to truth. Those who have truth rarely mock. They are kind, considerate, and love – even their enemies. When you are on the side of truth, you don’t need to mock others. Be careful you might be mocking truth, that’s mocking God. He is truth, He hates lies. Mock – to make mouths at, to scoff, to hold in derision, to have disdain for truth and authority, especially righteousness, justice, and doing what is right before God. A mocker is one who derides others – who laughs at in contempt, who ridicules, who makes sport. Mockers are bullies, the ungodly who get a laugh at someone else’s expense, who just hide their hatred behind jokes. These are ungodly. The Godly do not act this way. God says to love your neighbor as yourself, and love your enemies, not bring ridicule upon them. So what would make you a mocker? Wine will make you do that. But it’s not the only thing. What could make you mock? Hanging out with mockers, Listening to mockers – a steady diet of what mockers are spewing, and believing what mockers believe. What could make you brawl? to clamor, create a commotion, be in an uproar, to quarrel nosily, indecently, to beat or drive away. Beer will make you brawl, but it’s not the only thing. Hanging out with brawlers, listening to what brawlers say and believe, letting yourself get all riled up by mockers and brawlers, allowing yourself to vent. God said – it is not wise. Stay away from those inputs, and those people, and go the other way. Instead Pray. Ask God for truth, Trust in His plan, and His power to make things right. Sin will not stand. It may seem to for a while, but it will not last. Sinners, bullies, and tyrants may seem to have power forever, but their days are numbered. God’s Word is perhaps the easiest to breeze through, instead of apply fully. Just because what is says doesn’t directly apply to you, doesn’t mean the underlying truth, does not apply elsewhere. Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. Knowing where it applies and how to implement it. Praying that you will not mock, that you will recognize and limit anything that could lead you astray, that could lead you to mock or to brawl. It is not wise, and God wants you to be humble, to pray, seek God’s face, turn from any wicked way, so He can hear, forgive and heal. Praying that you will be in relationship with the humble, and learn their ways, that you will not vent, but speak life, that you will not fight what is not your fight, or not what God wants to fight, or what God is going to take care of all by himself. Your most effective weapon is Praise and Prayer, and be instant in obedience – that brings joy. Praying that you will always look past the surface every time you’re in PRISM in God’s Word. That you would ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the wisdom you need, which is rightly applying truth, in every area it applies. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It establishes you. Psalms 85:8 – I will listen to what God the LORD will say; he promises peace to his people, his saints, but let them not return to folly. Surely His Salvation is near those who fear Him. What a verse! One of David’s great habits – committing himself with his mouth. I will listen to what God the LORD will say; This is a promise, God will speak. He gives peace, His salvation is near. If you ask, He'll tell you. If you are his people, you'll have peace, and if you Fear Him, His Salvation is near. He’s speaking already, if you hear depends on if you listen. David said “I will listen.” The best way to listen, is to decide, and then to practice it. Get used to it, make a habit of listening. PiVAT before dinner - is listening practice - choosing to listen every day. Luke 11:11-13 - Which of you if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone?... How much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. Daily Bread, is Daily Word, and Daily Instruction. If you ask for God’s plans for you for today, He won’t tell you next week, that’s giving you a stone. He will tell you for tomorrow. And your PRISM time with Him will confirm it. Those five things you can do in God’s Word every day. That’s the “I will listen” habit that will ensure you hear what God the LORD will say. I love that title – God, the LORD. The Creator, the Only One worthy of worship, and the LORD – the Supreme Authority. The One with the power to do something about it, and a power far superior to any other. So what He decides to give you - no one can stop it. If God the LORD says it - The Creator, Controller, Sustainer, and lover of you! Your Heavenly Father! If He says it, He will surely give you grace, strength, wisdom, power, protection, and favor to hear it and to do it! But let them not return to folly. Don’t do what you used to do. Don’t go backwards, don’t return to the foolishness that kept you from Him and kept you from success. The key is listening. The key to listening is saying “I will listen.” Then listen every day. Get to the place where you can do it! PiVAT before dinner, PRISM in His Word, overcoming on a Daily Call. What God says to them, will help you, and encourage you! Your prayer for each other – God will speak, you can listen. Praying that you will decide to listen, commit with your mouth, and practice it. Get to where listening happens. Portion depends on Position. If you are in the right position, you get the full portion God has for you. There’s a place where God speaks, Get there. If you ask, you will receive, so praying that you will ask. And if you hear and obey – every good gift your Father in Heaven wants to give you – you will surely receive it. What is the greatest threat facing this country and this world right now? The lack of truth. Those that don’t recognize it, those that suppress it, those that claim it’s something it is not. I just love God’s Word. It is truth in an ocean of lies. It is God’s truth. All truth is God’s truth. He is truth, the devil is a liar and the father of lies. God’s Word creates belief. But only if it becomes your word. Only if your word doesn’t say something different. Have you ever thought something, and said that thought, and it came out in a catchy rhythm or phrase, that sounded so cool you repeated it, and even began to believe it must be true? It’s easy to do... “God helps those who help themselves.” “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” “Money makes the world go round.” How silly. But what you say you believe. What you repeat the most you will believe the most. Even God’s word cannot overrule your word. It will eventually, but not right now. That’s why Proverbs admonishes – My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding… then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. That means you need to recognize God’s Word, distinguish it from something different, and choose to believe what He said, over what someone else says – even if it’s you. If you accept and agree – it becomes belief for you. But if you say something else – that becomes belief for you. That’s how people get deceived, tossed by the wind of whatever they hear and say. Their discernment becomes dulled. That’s why the devil is always trying to get you to hear something, or say something that is not true, or only part true, or true, but with wrong motive. Anything He can do to twist what God said, and make you believe differently – he will do it. Some people are guillible, others become willingly gullible. And the most gullible are those who are vehement in perpetuating false truth. Rarely do people perpetuate lies, most often they perpetuate what they falsely believe to be true, or good or right. Isaiah 5:20 – Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight. God wants you to be very careful with idle words, with the things you say or repeat. Better not to say anything. Better to humble yourself and just say – I don’t really know yet, or I haven’t fully considered. And if something comes out of your mouth, or someone else’s – be sure to use your New Information Filter - #1 Is It True? #2 Where is the evidence? #3 What’s In It For Them? #4 What Does God Say? And the best thing to make sure you are creating belief, and not mis-belief. Stay in God’s Word. Your PRISM Time is important! God wants to grow you, and prepare you for the deception attempts that are coming. When it comes to wisdom vs. deception – you can’t cram for it like a high school exam. Your best defense is a steady diet of Truth from God’s Word. Proverbs 19:27 – If you stop listening to instruction, my son, you will stray from the words of knowledge. (You will turn your back on knowledge – that means you will embrace ignorance, deception, and delusion). PRISM is important – if you’re word-starved, you’re wisdom starved, you are effectiveness starved, and success starved. Proverbs 4:10 – Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. John 12:47 – Jesus said, “If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. Praying that you will guard your idle words – and eliminate them. That you won’t have idle words anymore. Praying that every word you say will be truth and right, that builds you up, and encourages obedience, not perversity – a turning away. Praying that your diet will always be God’s Truth. He will give you what you need for each day! Love you all, dad |
