Love you all, praying for you
I just love God’s Word. It always surprises me with how it ties everything together. When we seek, we always find. Proverbs 18:1 says “He who separates himself seeks his own desire, He quarrels against all sound wisdom.” If you’re like me, it’s easy to separate. I tend to lean toward the introverted side of the spectrum. But there is a danger on this side. Wisdom is often found in a multitude of godly voices around you. Isolate yourself from outside influence and you isolate yourself from wisdom. You’re not the only one who sees, hears, experiences God.. and chances are, in your short lifetime, you will not experience every facet of God firsthand. He’s just too big and he likes to reveal himself in special ways to each heart that seeks him. Being alone then, at the very LEAST eliminates the possibility of you being exposed to these many of the facets of God, OUR Father! But that’s on the conservative side! More dangerous than simply “missing out” is the danger of completely disregarding Jesus’s invitation to seek the “Kingdom of God first”, and instead to waste your life on being a self kingdom seeker. “My purpose. My calling. My career. My desires. My hobbies. My preferences.” Isolation is the perfect environment for this type of thinking. In isolation you have no friction. No one else rubbing up against your ways and methods. Your thinking and beliefs. Your likes and dislikes. This is the OPPOSITE of the Kingdom and will most certainly have major repercussions. And maybe it won’t be even visible right away, but Paul warns us in 1 Corinthians 3 that if whatever is built with what is inferior in this life, it will not make it through to the next. 1 Corinthians 3: 12-15 “Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. 14If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.” I believe some of the best kingdom building will be with the gold and silver of unity, selfless service, seeking someone else’s benefit over your own…in other words, sacrificial LOVE. So, if you’re like me, and are prone to this danger, of building the kingdom of self, with the resources of the self. (Aka wood and stubble), is there something you do practically to shift? I believe so. Ask the Lord, who you are supposed to invest in, and build with? Who you supposed to link arms with? The kingdom is a family affair. Who is your family? If you don’t have one…ask him to bring them. The ones who will seek first the kingdom with you and who you will get to watch with you as God adds everything else Praying we would have eyes to see and ears to hear and hearts to obey and obedient hands to build. Love you all, Klarysa
