Love you all, praying for you,
I just love God’s Word, it tells the truth – even when you don’t want to hear it. When you do what God tells you, you always get a reward, intrinsic if not external, and often both. God gives principles, and truths that will come to pass, the choice being yours. God says laziness has an end – it’s slavery (just like acquiescence). God says laziness ends in slave labor. If you don’t do, someone will tell you what to do. If you don’t lead, someone will lead you. If you don’t learn to follow, no one will follow you. If you don’t choose, someone will chose for you. If you don’t do, someone will do what you didn’t want to do. And when you don’t do, it eventually becomes no longer up to you. You didn’t do - when it was time to do, so someone else decides - not you. Are you diligent? Do you do what needs to be done, or do you wait for someone to tell you? Do you plan ahead, or are you stuck with what’s left? Do you work hard, or let time pass without knowing what God had for you in this hour? Hours are not isolated, they are inter-related, they are sequential, accumulative, successive. If you don’t do – what God knows you need to do now… you won’t be prepared for what He has for you next – so He can’t take you there. You’ll lack the experience, diligence, and understanding required to operate at the next level, because you’re still at this level. It all comes down to humility. If you will be humble and diligent – God can bring you to new places. If you stay the same, God can only bless you so much. You get - at the level you are at. God can’t give you next level blessings – until you operate in next level obedience… until you humble yourself and obey what He told you - that can get you there. Have you ever heard it said, “The view’s great from up here!” Not everyone gets that view – you have to climb to get it. But its worth the climb. Two questions. #1) Do you know what God told you to do? and #2 Will you do it? The only way to know is to ask God. Praying that PiVAT before dinner is your habit. I’ve often been missed, and had to decide if I will still do it. If you’re facing a decision – Use the PiVAT Decision Tool – to seek God’s will and God’s way. Every time I chose to spend time with God, getting his plans for me, I have never regretted it, not one time. But the times missed, you’ll never know what you missed out on! Don’t look back, just start from here. But don’t miss what He has for you! It’s only good, better than you think, worth the climb, worth the sacrifice! Praying that PRISM Time in His Word is something you’ll come back to before the end of the day. I’ve never “came back to it” – and it wasn’t worth it. Sometimes when you don’t feel like it the most is when He has the most for you. Spirit is stronger than flesh - if you feed it more. If not, flesh is stronger than spirit. Praying that you will always choose that time with God, asking Him, seeking Him, and getting His plans. Praying that you will seek Godly counsel. He won’t tell you what to do through someone else. Maybe they will mention some things to consider. But God will tell you what to do, and then, He often uses others to confirm it. Not everyone will agree in their counsel, that’s how God trains you to discern what is His voice, and what He has for you now. Praying that you will humble yourself, and do with diligence and joy, everything He told you to do. No matter how hard it seems (It’s not! if He gives you grace for it); or how much you don’t want to (sometimes we don’t want to do at first, what turns out to be the very best for us). Praying that you will seek and trust and obey. It will change you for good, forever! Love you all, dad

Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It tells you what brings success, and what brings failure. It gives wisdom for the hearer. Those who seek it, find it. As long as they are not mockers. Then they will seek, but not find it. What is a mocker? One who disdains wisdom. How do you disdain wisdom? You don’t do it when you hear it. You knew it but didn’t do it… you didn’t value it enough to do it, so you begin to look for other wisdom that you would prefer – the wisdom of the world, not the wisdom of God. That’s why obedience is so important. With wisdom, it’s use it or lose it. If you don’t do it, you’ll soon not recognize it – familiarity breeds contempt. You’ve heard that already, you’re wanting to hear something different. There are two different wisdoms, the wisdom from God, and the wisdom from this world. One is, the other isn’t. One of the best pieces of counsel in Scripture. Steady plodding brings prosperity, hasty speculation brings poverty. Proverbs 21:5 – The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. What is hasty speculation? Any decision you make without diligence. Diligence to seek God for His plan, Diligence to fully count the cost – taking the time to fully understand the cost and resources needed. When Nehemiah was downcast in the Kings presence, (a fatal error in most cases) The King asked why, and Nehemiah shared his heart for the city of Jerusalem, whose walls lie in ruins. And the King asked What do you need?” and “When will you be back?” Nehemiah was ready, He listed out all the supplies He needed, even armed guards, and letters of approval from the King. And he told Him when He would return to Babylon, to the King’s service. He was diligent with God in the planning, and God moved the king to grant his request. Praying that you will have God’s heart for you in this season of your life, that you will know what God is telling you, that you will be diligent in planning and effort, and that you will diligently seek God’s plan, and count the cost. Abraham faced the fact that his body was as good as dead, yet He believed God. Counting the cost – doesn’t make things impossible. Counting the cost just lets you see how impossible it is. God will either say, that’s not what I want for you right now, or He will do the impossible. Diligence in counting the cost will save you from error, or it will reveal just how big of a miracle it will be. Praying that you will be diligent in the steady plodding, that you will count the cost, (your Options Tab in your 4C’s Tool will help!) and praying most of all – that you will put your trust in God, for His perfect will, in His perfect time. He’s the Maker of Heaven and Earth, the God of all wisdom, and the God of the impossible. Love you all, dad |
