Love you all, praying for you
I just love God’s Word. It always challenges you, it always raises you higher. Hebrews 11:30 – By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the people had marched around them for seven days. There’s always an after required for God to honor faith. He does it, after you do it. He does what He promised, after you do what He told you. Faith takes something. Nothing happens until you do something. Until you exercise your faith, until you take action that proves it. If nothing else, refusing to worry or doubt, refusing to say any word that is not faith, and standing firm in it. But more often it’s more than just ‘not doubting,’ there’s a step to take, a march to make, a son to sacrifice, a place to leave, a journey to take. Something to leave behind, so you can go where He tells you. There is always risk in faith. Did I hear Him right, did God really say that? Was that Him? Is that what He really means? Faith will require something from you. Always uncomfortable, often something others don’t understand, even ridicule you for, or oppose you for. Faith requires you to do something, that you don’t know for sure is what God said, or will make a difference - it requires faith, in the unseen… until it is. Faith always stretches you. It’s the only way walls fall - after you march seven times. Some people put their faith in something they believe, but not what God said. But far more often, God said, but people just won’t believe. Or they believe for a little while, and then falter or fall away. What did God tell you to have faith for? What did God tell you to do that proves it? It takes faith. Are you still standing in faith, walking in faith, believing in faith, and acting like He has already done it? Can you see the future by faith – that it’s just a matter of time catching up with what God promised and has already done – that’s released through your obedience? Praying that your faith will grow larger with use… That your joy will be in what you have faith for, not just what you have already seen. God will fulfill every promise. He will lead you and guide you. Before you march seven times around Jericho. Just do PiVAT before dinner. Just do what He told you to do in this hour. Ask Him, He’ll tell you. It’s faith practice, so walls can fall. Love you all, dad
