Love you all, praying for you,
I just love God’s Word. It’s truth and life, it gives stories and principles, and examples (both good and bad). It talks about little things that become big things. Little things done consistently well – are what pave the way for big things. It’s God’s principle of ‘faithful with little.’ When you don’t feel like it, when it doesn’t seem to be working or making a difference. Sometimes you obey, just to obey, not because you get a rush of instant gratification. Praying that you will take the time today to do PiVAT for this week, and PiVAT for tomorrow – getting God’s plans for you instead of your own. PiVAT is faith practice. God said, “The just shall live by faith.” How do you live by faith? You exchange God’s plans for your plans. It’s how you live by faith. #1 That you heard Him right, (that it wasn’t just your imagination). That what He told you to do today (to the best of your hearing and understanding was really him speaking). #2) That His plans for you – are good. And #3) That if you do them, it will be worth it. That there will be a benefit for you either in this life or the life to come. PiVAT before dinner – is faith practice. It fine tunes your hearing of God’s voice. It changes your heart completely – it’s full submission to God’s will for your life, instead of your own, God’s way instead of yours. Our plans are self-serving, God’s plans are others-serving. Our plans seek ourself first, His plans seek Him first. “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.” What you want to get by your own plans will always elude you, but if you give over your plans to God, He makes sure that everything you need finds you. This week will be over before you know it - just like last week. You will either seek after and follow His plans for you, or you will follow your own. If you don’t ask Him, you can’t receive. If you don’t spend time with Him in conversation – He won’t be able to tell you his plans for your good. Those who follow their own plans – think they did fine… They don’t realize what could have been. Praying that you will ask God, and check in with Him as you go. Giving Him full control, it’s what surrender means, so He can bring you more than you can ask or imagine. Love you all, dad
