Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word – it tells you the secrets of life. In Daily Huddles we often talk about three things. PiVAT before dinner – Romans 12:1 – Getting God’s plan for you for today, PRISM – Romans 12:2 - Five Things You Can Do in God’s Word, and a Daily Call (Hebrews 3:13) your secret weapon to overcoming your adversary the devil, by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of your testimony. PiVAT before dinner is the most important thing you can do in life. Because life is time, either you decide what you do with it (you’re the LORD of your life), or God decides what you do with it (He’s the LORD of your life). Romans 12:1 – I beg you brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to present your body (your life) as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is only fitting as your act of worship… Who decides what you do with your time? You or Him? God said He has numbered your days… When your time’s up, your life is over. What you do with time, is what you do with life. Praying that you will never miss PiVAT before dinner – the most important thing you can do in life. First you need to give your life to God, by believing in His Son Jesus – to get a new heart, and become a child of God. Everyone is God’s creation, not all are God’s children. God said that. (John 1:12, I John 3:10) Second you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit – so you receive power to do what He has for you – you can’t do it on your own. You need the Holy Spirit to reveal His will for you – so you hear his voice and understand it… And so you have power to do what He asks, to overcome the pull of your old life, your old nature. He gives you new life, and the power to live it. What a great deal! That’s like the car dealer paying for the car you just bought… Wouldn’t that be nice. So rather than just mention it – lets just quickly review. PiVAT Quick Start - What is PiVAT? - God’s Day Planner for you, not yours. PiVAT is a change of direction from man’s way to God’s Way. PiVAT is a way to get God’s Plan for you for today, change your life, and overcome with your testimony, because you write it down. The 3 Columns of PiVAT include: The Left Column – Four Questions to use with your Day Planner, The Middle Column – Daily Time Slots 6am to 10pm, and The Right Column - God’s To Do List for you today, not yours. The Secret of the Left Column: These are questions to ask, not answer. Ask God, He’ll tell you. (James 1:5 – If any of you needs wisdom, just ask God, and He will give it to you, without holding your faults against you. PiVAT stands for Prayer, Vision, Accountability and Testimony. The Four PiVAT Questions are: #1 Prayer: What Do You Need Most From God Today? (The Best Question Ever) #2 Vision: What is the #1 Thing God Told You To Do Today? (It might be practical or spiritual – ask Him. If you don’t ask Him, another day will expire without you even knowing the most important thing He wanted you to do. It’s hard to follow His plan for your life, if you don’t even know His plan for you today) #3 Accountability: When Did He Tell You To Do It? (The specific time) #4 Testimony: What Did God Do Today? (as you’re learning to obey) and What Did God Reveal today? (through your PRISM Time in His Word – those five things you can do in God’s Word every day) The Secret of the Middle Column: Don’t fill out all the timeslots. Only what God tells you. The #1 Thing He has for you today – should have a timeslot. And His To Do List For You from the right column – each item should have a timeslot – or it won’t get done. No need to fill in the rest, let Holy Spirit lead you… The Secret of the Right Column: Only Put Here what God said, everything else goes ‘below the line’ of your third column. Things pop up during the day (things you could do, things other people want you to do, but not what God told you to do). These are just PiVAT Maybe’s which go below the line underneath the right column. By the end of the day – many of these PiVAT Maybe’s are done by others, or don’t even matter. If any remain…ask God if He wants you to put them on your Official PiVAT Maybe List for this month - for God to confirm, delay or delete. Only write down in the right column what God told you to do today. His list is always shorter than yours… Just do everything He told you. If something didn’t get done by PiVAT before dinner (your conversation with Him about tomorrow) than ask Him, "Was this one You or me?" If it was Him telling you to do it – then finish what He told you. If it was just your todo – sneaking into the right column… put it on your PiVAT Maybe List – for God to confirm, delay or delete. The Secret of PiVAT itself? Do it before dinner! In Genesis God said the evening and the morning were the third day. PiVAT before dinner – starts your day with God. It not only gets His plans for you for the morning, so you can hit the ground running when you awake… It also reminds you of what He told you to do today, so you can finish strong. It gives you an opportunity to write down your testimony from today so you can overcome with it! It gives you a chance to share with your spouse before bed the most important things God has for both of you, and it gives God a chance to give you counsel in the night season - to confirm what He told you, and affirm you in doing it. If you don’t do PiVAT before dinner – by the time you get around to it tomorrow, you might miss what God had for you early! Things don’t always go perfectly, if you missed PiVAT before dinner – just do it now. Just start from here. His plans are always better than yours. And He’s faithful! If you ask Him, He’ll tell you. Praying that you will never miss PiVAT before dinner. It’s ‘hearing God's voice’ practice, it’s faith practice, prophetic practice, obedience practice. It’s literally presenting your body, mind and heart and soul as a living sacrifice. So God can lead you to things you never even dreamed! He has good for you! He promised! And one more thing. Praying that you will walk daily in a Daily Call – that 15 minute call before work sharing PiVAT and PRISM with a friend, and praying for each other. This is Hebrews 3:13 put into practice. Exhort one another daily… It’s God’s secret weapon for you to overcome the adversary, and grow like crazy! Just ask God who to invite to a 3-Day-Challenge, print out the packet for them, or a 7-Day PiVAT Journal, if you don’t already have one. If you will walk with someone daily, like God designed and commanded (Hebrews 3:13), He can lead you to every good thing He has stored up for you and them! Can’t wait to see what God will do! and who you will become! Love you all, dad
