It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns. Matthew 10:8 – Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. (ESV – you have received without paying, give without pay). Luke 6:28 – Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be poured into your lap. Proverbs 15:26 – The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD; but the words of the pure are pleasant words. The #10 thing that wise people do – they use soft words. #11 The Wise Win Souls. Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise. Win them to what? To Salvation, and Obedience – So they believe in Jesus, are filled with the Holy Spirit, so they can obey like Jesus did and walk in the good that God has prepared for them. I Corinthians 9:19 – Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I become like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (thought I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do everything for the sake of the gospel and to share with them in its blessings. Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. The #11 thing that wise people do – they win souls. So what are Eleven Things That Wise People Do? The wise humble themselves, the wise obey, the wise work, the wise never cheat, the wise give, the wise save, the wise are patient, the wise seek counsel, the wise use soft words, and the wise win souls. Praying that you will above all else, get wisdom, guard your heart, walk with the wise, and demonstrate the wisdom of God that leads to life and eternal reward! Love you all, dad

Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It is wisdom for you. It reveals what wisdom is, and what its not. Praying that you will review the Relationship Topic – 11 Things You Need To Know About Wisdom. God said above all else get wisdom, To pursue it, means keep going after it! Read it, Say it, Do it! For the LORD gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. So every time you do PRISM, you’re gaining wisdom, Every time you review a PRISM topic or packet, you’re gaining wisdom, God’s way is different from man’s way, as high as the heavens are above the earth. So how do you know if you’re wise? If you’re gaining and growing in wisdom? How can you tell a wise person? God tells us. Eleven Things That Wise People Do The wise humble themselves, the wise obey, the wise work, the wise build, the wise never cheat (they don’t have to), the wise give, the wise save, the wise are patient, the wise seek counsel, the wise use soft words, and the wise win souls. #1 The Wise Humble Themselves. First before God, then before others. Humility and the Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. You have to begin before you become. I Peter 5:6 – Humble yourselves therefore under God’s Mighty Hand, that He may life you up in due time. Humble is to take the lower place. Every time you kneel before God (the outward expression of a heart of humility) you are humbling yourself. Every time you pray – you are humbling yourself – you are recognizing His Sovereignty, and your need for Him. If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray… Every time you read His Word, you are humbling yourself. You are saying “God, You know better than I do, and I yield to what You say”. Every time you obey what God told you – you are humbling yourself. That’s why PiVAT before dinner is so important. Jesus humbled himself. Philippians 2:8 – And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross. If you don’t obey, you are not humbling yourself, and you cannot be wise… Why don’t people obey? #1 They don’t know what God told them, they don’t ask, so they don’t know. #2 – They know, but don’t want to do it – they prefer their way over God’s Way. PiVAT keeps you humble – It’s how you give your plans to Him, and choose His plans over yours. Obedience is humbling yourself. Submission is coming under someone else’s mission. God’s mission for you. That is humbling yourself. Ask, Hear, and Obey – is humbling yourself. Another way to humble yourself before God, is to fast. Ezra 8:21 – And there by the Ahava Canal, I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before God… Every time you fast, you are humbling yourself, but don’t just fast, do what’s right. (Isaiah 58:5-8) To humble yourself – you first do it before God, then before others. James 3:13 – Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. To humble yourself before others… Choose the low place, don’t exalt yourself, give them the bigger piece. And Serve. Jesus told His disciples, whoever wants to be the greatest must be the servant of all. I didn’t come to be served but to serve. John 13:15 – I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. And what I’ve done for you, do for each other. So How do you humble yourself? Kneel, Pray, Read His Word (PRISM and PRISM Topics – is humility practice), Obey what He tells you (PiVAT before dinner – is humility practice), and Fast. Fasting is humbling yourself before God. Then Humble yourself before others…. Choose the low place (give others the bigger piece) and Serve – (Consider others more important than yourself.) The #1 Thing that Wise people do, they humble themselves – before God, and others. #2 The Wise Obey. Psalm 111:10 – The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding… Deuteronomy 4:6 – Obey them completely, and you will display your wisdom and understanding in the sight of all people, who when they hear these decrees, they will say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” Matthew 7:24 – Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and obeys them (puts them into practice, is like a wise man who built his house upon a rock. Hosea 14:9 – Who is wise? Let him understand these things; whoever is discerning let him understand. The ways of the LORD are right; the righteous walk in them… Psalm 25:12 – Who then are those who fear the LORD? He will instruct them in the way they should choose. God has a way chosen for you (this week, today), It’s that way best for you. Jesus only did and said what His Father told him, and He knew the right time. The #2 thing that wise people do… they obey. #3 The Wise Work. Proverbs 6:6 – Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise. I has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. Proverbs 10:4-5 – Idle hands make one poor, but diligent hands bring wealth. He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgrace. Proverbs 12:24 – Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor. (NLT Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave.) Proverbs 28:19 – A hard worker has plenty of food, but those who chase fantasies end up in poverty. Proverbs 12:11 – Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense. Proverbs 24:30 I went past the field of a sluggard, past the vineyard of someone who lacks sense; thorns had come up everywhere, the ground was covered with weeds, and the stone wall was in ruins. Proverbs 20:4 – Sluggards to not plow in season; so at harvest time they look but find nothing. Proverbs 24:27 – Get your outdoor work in order, and prepare your field; after that, build your house. (GNT – Don’t build your house and establish a home until your fields are ready, and you are sure that you can earn a living). Proverbs 21:5 – The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. The #3 thing that wise people do… they work. #4 – The Wise Build - with their words, and their hands. - Proverbs 9:1 – Wisdom has built her house; she has set up its seven pillars. Proverbs 14:1 – The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. Proverbs 24:3 – By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. The #4 thing that wise people do – they build, they don’t tear down. #5 – The Wise Never Cheat. They don’t have to. They would never sacrifice God’s blessing and favor – for mere dollars. Proverbs 20:10 – False weights and unequal measures – the LORD detests them both. Proverbs 10:2-3 – Ill-gotten treasures have no lasting value, but righteousness delivers from death. The LORD does not let the righteous go hungry, but he thwarts the craving of the wicked. Proverbs 10:23 – A fool finds pleasure in wicked schemes, but a person of understanding delights in wisdom. Proverbs 1:18-19 – These men lie in wait for their own blood; they ambush only themselves. Such is the fate of all who go after dishonest gain; it takes away the life of those who get it. Proverbs 15:27 – Whoever is greedy for unjust gain brings ruin on his household, but he who hates bribes will live. Proverbs 28:8 – He that increases his wealth by usury and unjust gain, gathers it for one who will be kind to the poor. I Timothy 6:6 – But Godliness with contentment is great gain… Isaiah 33:15-16 – Those who walk righteously and speak what is right, who refuse profit by fraud, and keep their hands from accepting bribes, who refuse to listen to those who plot murder, and shut their eyes against contemplating evil – these are the ones who will dwell on the heights, whose refuge will be the mountain fortress. Their food will be supplied, and they will have water in abundance. The #5 Thing that wise people do – they never cheat. They don’t have to. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It reminds us of who God is and what He does. It gives simple truths that we can fully trust in. It gives simple instructions that we can do right now - that will bring a result. Psalms 80:1 – Hear us, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock; you who sit enthroned between the cherubim, shine forth before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh, Awaken your might; come and save us. I just love God’s Word! It’s more than information – it’s application. It’s not only truth about who God is and what He will do, it tells us what we should do – if we can just hear, and obey. What kind of God is this? He’s a God who hears, He’s a God who leads, He’s the God who is enthroned, He’s the God who saves. He hears, He leads, He’s enthroned, He saves. If He hears, you should pray. If He leads, you should follow. He doesn’t lead everybody, only his flock, only those who follow him, who know his voice and go where he goes. That’s why PiVAT is so important – it trains you to hear his voice, and follow His lead. If He’s enthroned, you should know it. If He sits on the throne, He’s the final Word, He’s in charge. No one more powerful than Him. He’s not only undefeated, He’s undefeat-able. You can know for sure, your confidence is well placed. And if He saves – you should believe. That your Deliverer is coming, you can rejoice now, like you will then. If He said it – He will do it. He saves those who call on Him. It’s not about you, or what you’ve done, It’s about His Son and what He did for you. He hears, so pray – bring your requests before Him. He leads – so be sure you get his plans and follow them completely. He’s enthroned. You can know for sure… you have nothing to worry about. He saves – He will save you - you can believe it! Praying that you will know God today. The God who hears, and leads, who's enthroned, and who saves - because He loves you.. So you can pray, and obey, and know, and believe. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It makes you storm-proof. Your faith is revealed not in the calm, but in the storm. Most people crumble in storm, they get washed away. But God uses storms. He has purpose in the storm. Sometimes He even sends them, but He always uses them. #1 To show himself strong - Isaiah 25:4 – But you are a tower of refuge to the poor, O LORD, a tower of refuge to the needy in distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat… Psalm 107:28 – Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. What a blessing was that stillness as he brought them safely to their desired haven. He uses the storm #2 To test and build your faith – Mark 4:37 – And a violent storm arose, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, asleep on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the sea, “Peace! Be Still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Then he asked them, “Why are you so fearful? “Do you still have no faith?” Storms reveal your faith. How do you react in a storm? Do you worry, fear, panic, blame, row harder? They are just a test. How many storms have you had in your life? How many killed you? They will test you, and they can shipwreck those who aren’t prepared for them. Sometimes God sends even them. - #3 To remove or reposition things. Whether the wicked, or wicked things in you, or you. Psalms 148:7 – Praise the LORD from the earth, you creatures of the ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding. Nahum 1:3 – The LORD is slow to anger but great in power; the LORD will not leave the wicked unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust beneath his feet. Proverbs 10:25 – When the storm has passed, the wicked are no more, but the righteous stand firm forever. God can use a storm to remove the wicked, or remove some wicked things in you. Jonah 1:4 – Then the LORD sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up. Fearing for their lives, the desperate sailors shouted to their gods for help and threw the cargo overboard to lighten the ship… v12 Throw me into the sea, and it will become calm again. God can use a storm to remove the wicked, to remove some things from your life that do not honor him, or reposition you to where He wants you to be. But sometimes storms just come. You don’t know Him as your Strong Tower – unless you need to run to Him. Storms require running to Him. In the storm is where you find where your faith is. He is the God who is near, in the storm, He’s right there with you. He’s the Strong Tower in the storm, He’s the one that delivers you through the storm. He’s the one that says – “Peace, Be Still, and calms the waves. Your faith grows stronger in the storm. Idols are worthless in the storm, whatever else you may have started to put your trust in, gets swept away in the storm. What is a storm? A loss or threat of loss. God brings storms, or God allows storms. The devil brings storms to make you lose your footing, to lose faith, or lose hope. He wants to destroy you – but he can only do what God allows. And God promised that He would never bring anything too difficult for you – more than you can bear. Storms first appear on the horizon. Storms start with the invitation to worry, fear or doubt – what might happen. That’s the devil seeking to devour you – cause you to fret. Storms can come with a word; a letter, a law, a doctors report, an unexpected bill, or a pink slip. Storms come when loss, difficulty or tragedy strike. Life on earth comes with loss, disappointment, adversity, and calamity. Those times will come, the times that try men’s souls. So what will you do in the middle of the storm? Put your trust in God, put your hope in him. You can’t control the waves, but you can control your words, and your words direct your thoughts, and your heart, and make way for you victory. Are you in a storm right now? How are you doing? What would you do today if a storm strikes? How do you prepare for the storms that will inevitably come. Luke 6:47 – I will show you what he is like who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them. He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood rose, the torrent burst against that house and yet it could not shake it, because it had been built on the rock. (CEV – “It was built so well, it didn’t even shake.”) God wants you unshakable in the storm. That happens before the storm comes. Praying that you will prepare for the storm, by building well. The rock you build on prepares you for the storm, the Rock is Jesus – the Word of God. Every time you fill your heart with His Word, and obey the next step of His leading, you are laying that foundation so when the storm comes – you are unshakeable. Praying that your testimony has you overcoming daily, that as iron sharpens iron, you are sharpening someone and being sharpened. Praying that you will choose your words – so you always build on the rock. The other option is sand. The one who builds on that will be swept away in the storm. Praying that you will Prepare for the storm, Praise God in the storm, Run to Him in the storm, that your faith would grow strong before the storm, so you will be unshakeable, not tossed, but firm and established. That you would praise God for storms, and trust Him fully in the middle. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It is a wealth of information, but the benefit is transformation. And of all the instruction that could be overwhelming, it breaks it down to the simple. It gives you the answer you need in the moment. It gives you the answer you’re about to need… because it’s living and active. And it gives you a structure of truth that is completely trustworthy. It tells us the most important things. Some people when it comes to God’s Word – can't see the forest through the trees, they get caught up in the minutia, in the trivia, and miss the major. So what are the eleven most important things? #1 - Believe on the LORD Jesus Christ and you will be saved. #2 Wait in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit has come upon you. #3 Fear God. #4 Above all else get wisdom. #5 Above all else guard your heart. #6 Tell Others. #7 Make Disciples #8 Exhort One Other Daily. #9 Praise Always #10 Pray without ceasing. #11 Live For Eternity. So what does say about these eleven most important things. #1 Be Saved – See the PRISM Topic Salvation First. Admit you’re a sinner, Believe that Jesus died in your place, to pay the penalty for your sin. Unless you are perfectly sinless, you cannot live with a perfect God forever. He hates sin. You need a Savior. Romans 10:9 – If you commit with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. #2 Be Filled with the Holy Spirit - See the Relationship Topic – The Filling of the Holy Spirit - Luke 24:49 – I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in Jerusalem until you have been clothed with power from on high. He told them, ‘Wait in Jerusalem until the power comes on you – so you can do this, otherwise you won’t be able to! Paul said – (Now that you have been filled) Walk in the Spirit and you will do what the Holy Spirit wants you to do, instead of what your flesh wants to do. (Galatians 5:25) #3 Fear God – It’s the beginning of wisdom, it keeps you from doing evil, it saves your life, and protects your children, See the PRISM Topic – You Are Not Fearing God For Nothing, and the PRISM Topic Packet – The Fear Of The LORD. #4 Get Wisdom – Above all else – get wisdom. Ask For It, Pursue It, Obey Immediately, Seek Counsel, and Walk with the Wise. So you become wise, and wisdom will protect you, it will bring you wealth, honor and life. #5 Guard Your Heart - God said above all else, guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life. You first do it with your eyes – Set before your eyes no unclean thing, keep your gaze directly before you. You then do it with your ears – be careful how you hear. John 8:47 – Whoever belongs to God hears what God says… Jesus said my sheep know my voice, another shepherd they will not follow. John 10:8 – All who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep didn’t listen to them. John 10:4 -… and his sheep follow him because they know his voice, a stranger they will not follow. Then you guard your heart with your feet – don’t join in with them, don’t walk in the path of the wicked, go on your way. You guard your heart, by guarding your eyes, your ears, and your feet. And then guard your mouth, your lips. Speak life, speak the word of God, it will get into your heart. It will change your thoughts, your mind, you'll start to think like God thinks! Above all else, guard your heart. #6 Tell Somebody - Share the good News of Jesus – Go into all the world and preach the good news of Jesus. How with others come to know Jesus if you don’t tell them? Jesus said that He wants everyone to be saved, that not even one would perish. He won’t come back until all have heard. (Matthew 24:14) That’s our job. Matthew 28:19-20 - Go and make disciples of all nations – Baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit . #7 Make Disciples - Most people miss the rest of the great commission – that tells what making disciples really is… teaching them to obey (all the things I command you). It means make obeyers – followers who hear and obey – hearers and doers of the Word. So who are you helping to obey? Obey with what? Time – so their life is a living sacrifice. Thoughts – so their mind is transformed, Money – so they love God not the world. Helping them overcome with their testimony, and provoke others to love and obedience. God says, He who wins souls is wise. #8 Exhort One Other Daily. Hebrews 3:13 - Each person encourage another person every day. It’s God’s playbook to overcome the enemy – with your testimony! #9 Praise Always – Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. As long as you have a breath left, you should have a praise left. Hebrews 13:15 – Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of lips that confess His Name. He comes and lives in the praises of His people. From the time you were a child – He ordained praise to silence the enemy! Praise always! Psalms 84:4 - Blessed are those who dwell in your house, they are ever praising you. #10 Pray without ceasing. Luke 18:1 – Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and never give up. Prayer is important – prayer is how you present your requests to God, and praying in the Spirit enables you to pray the exact will of your Father in Heaven. God uses prayer to unleash what He wants to do on the earth. See the Prayer Packet to encourage you to keep praying – and never give up. #11 Live with Eternity in mind – Paul said I count all things down here as loss, as garbage, that I might gain Christ. Hebrews 13:14 – For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come. Hebrews 11:24 – By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharoah’s daughter. Instead he chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. Paul said at the end.
