Love you all, praying for you.
I just love Gods Word – it cuts… between the motives and intents of the heart. Have you noticed that we as human beings are always quick to put labels on things, especially church people. Some think the worst threat to the church is the “prosperity gospel.” No one knows what that really is, but most have an opinion on it. Clearly God’s Word teaches you cannot love God and money, but some people just don’t think pastors should drive nice cars. God said “they are worthy of double honor – those who labor in the Word.” Some pastors may be more interested in appearances, in money – but how do you know what they really think, or what’s in their heart? Calling out pastors should only be done if they preach false doctrine, a doctrine other than Jesus, Salvation in any other name. Or if they excuse sin, deceiving the weak into living a sinful life, which God will judge. (2 Tim 3:1, Jude 1) But does the prosperity gospel count as that? Anything not clearly defined, cannot be clearly denied. What is the prosperity gospel? If it’s using godliness as a means of gain – then clearly God’s word teaches against it, and warns against those who seek it. I Timothy 6:5-6 warns against those “who think godliness is a means to financial gain. But godliness with contentment is great gain…” Lovers of money are what God said would happen in the last days. If people are just after money – they reveal who their god is, not the LORD. But be careful in calling people out, you don’t know the intents and motives of their heart. Only God does. Just keep your heart pure. Seek godliness and contentment that’s what God says is great gain. Be thankful for what you have, not always pursuing more. More money doesn’t mean more ministry, any more than more money means more happiness. God said you came into the world with nothing, and you will take nothing out. But God also said He gives the power to get wealth, He delights in the prosperity of His people, and that wisdom (which comes from God – for the asking) brings wealth, honor, and life. John (in his letter to a friend, a beloved brother in Christ), said, “Dear Friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way, and in good health, just as your soul is prospering.” (3 Jn 1:2) There’s more to prosperity than money – if your soul prospers – money will follow. And it if doesn’t, it doesn’t matter to you – because your soul is prospering. What you’re after is infinitely more valuable than money. Some people think if you’re godly you’ll get rich. They think godliness is a means of gain. Others think godliness will make you poor. If you’re really godly… you’ll be poor. Neither is true. The question is – what does God have for you? The kingdom of God is His plans for you – doing what He wants you to do – your life is where the King has dominion. God said don’t worry about money for food and clothes and a place to live… “The pagans chase after all these things and your Father in heaven knows that you need them. Seek first His Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you as well. (Luke 12:29-31) What they have to strive for – your Father will just give you. He determines what, when and how much – you can trust Him. But whatever He chooses – it’s just added to you, not the focus of you. If you do what He says, you’ll get what you need. If you seek first His Kingdom, like Paul said, you can be content in any circumstance. Not complacent. Content. You will know how to get along with humble means – if walking through a tight financial season, and you’ll know how to live in abundance, when God pours out on you even physical things that are more than you need. God just said don’t put your trust in them. Money comes and goes. Just steward faithfully what you’ve been entrusted with. Enjoy the little things, be thankful, and be content with what you have. When it comes to others, don’t judge people – you don’t know their heart. You can make righteous judgements about actions. And avoid everything that could be a pitfall for you. But be more worried about you than someone else… Don’t waste time judging what other people should do or buy or have, but rather examine yourself to see if you seek God first, His plans for you first? or His stuff first? Praying that you will prosper in every way – just as your soul is prospering. You’re already rich. Your dad owns every bank, stock, and investment in the world –everything is His. He’s not worried if the stock market falls… He owns everything! And He promised to give you everything you need – starting with prosperity of your soul! Praying that you will look to Him, not what He gives. That you won’t be waiting for that next thing you want, but fully content, thankful and joyful with what you have. Caviar won’t make you happy. If you have God’s peace, and joy, and are fully obeying everything He told you – mac & cheese, or Ramen noodles are something to be just as thankful for! His joy is beyond things. If you’re not happy now, you won’t likely be then. And if you lose something, will you also lose your joy? God gives and takes away, but His Name is always blessed! He is always good, and He has for you better things than the world chases after. Praying that you will worry about yourself more than others. That you won’t judge people, but be faithful yourself, and always seek His kingdom first. So He can add to you every good thing, everything you need, and always enough to share with others. Love you all, dad

Love you all, praying for you,
I just love God’s Word. It tells you what is, not just what seems. Have you ever thought of your greatest threat? What is the greatest threat facing you right now, your life, your well being? Is it a diagnosis? A doctor’s report? or an injury? Is it a setback, or a financial loss, or a job loss? Is it a lack of income, ridiculous gas and food prices, inflation, the economy, the crashing stock market? A lost opportunity? What is the greatest threat you face? Actually, your greatest threat is none of the above… the greatest threat to your well being – is your mouth. See the Daily Huddle What Are You Building, but also, review the PRISM Topic – Do Not Say. God tells us specifically some things we should not say. He says it plainly – don’t say that. Why were the old days better than these – it is not from wisdom that you ask this. Don’t say it. I’ll pay you back for the wrong you did to me… Don’t say it. Boasting and trash talk. Don’t say it. Come back tomorrow and I’ll pay what I owe you… (when you have it with you). Do not say it. Venting everything on your mind. Do not say it. The wise hold their tongue. Praying that you will know what God says – Do Not Say. And never say it. Words hold power, they are creative and destructive they could create a blessing, or create destruction. What you say is what you get – so be sure to know what God says – not to say. PRISM Topic – Do Not Say. Praying that you will use your words to build. That your words would always align with God’s Word! So His promises become your reality. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It’s truth and life, it’s success for you if you will use it. Here's a truth that God's Word reveals. Your words are the building blocks of your life. You cannot rise above them. They determine your life even before what you do. A critical lesson - be careful. What you say is what you get. What you say sets your ceiling or removes it. Your words imprison you or release you. What you say determines your future, and your present. And even how you view your past. What you say determines what you believe, what you have, how you view others, how you view yourself, and even how you view God. It’s more than optimism vs pessimism. It’s faith growing or faith waning. Your words will grow your faith, or ruin your faith. The best words to say are God’s Words. The best use of words is Praise, Prayer, and Declaration. God’s Word is the source of success for your words. Praise His Word – that means praise Him and thank Him with what His Word says. Pray His Word – that means pray what His Word says, or what it reminds you of… something else He did or said. And Declare His Word. Speak it out loud - that what God said is true and will happen. Claim it for yourself. Declare that you will do it, and He will fulfill it. What you say is what you get. From the fruit of His lips a man is filled with good things, as surely as the work of his hands rewards Him. Speak out loud with your own mouth the PRISM Topics: Speak Life, and Say. Some people have a habit of speaking words that are doubt and unbelief, grumbling or complaining, criticism or slander. Is that you? What is the first thing that comes out of your mouth? What God said? Or what the devil says. He’s the accuser, the criticizer, the liar, and murderer. The devils words steal faith. God’s Word builds faith. Don’t let your words ever do the devil’s work, let him carry his own water. Only speak God’s truth, always speak God’s life. Praise, Pray, and Declare His Word over your life, and others, over your day and others’, over your situation and others’. Old people used to say… If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all. But God’s Word says Life and death are in the power of the tongue. That means don’t say nothing, say something! You should use your words to build your faith. The more of His Word you speak, the more your faith will grow, the more God will be pleased with you, and the more God can do in you, through you, and for you. Don’t just say nothing. Say something - something good. If you’re in a habit of doubt or unbelief, grumbling or complaining, criticism or slander. You can build a new habit of faith. Praying that you will use your mouth today – to speak faith, life, hope and joy. That you would declare God’s Word, and your obedience. That you would make your words a weapon – that God will use to transform your present, and shape your future. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you,
I just love God’s Word. It gives truth, it gives secrets and foundations. What’s really important? One of those things is humility. It brings wisdom. Praying that you will review the Topics: Humility, and Humble, and How To Be Humble. It’s Important. It will position you for God’s power and blessing in your life. Proverbs 11:2 – When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Do you need wisdom right now? In this season? In your current situation? I could really screw things up if I do not receive wisdom from God. I need wisdom. But wisdom comes only with humility. How do you walk in humility? How do you begin to make humility a habit and a hallmark in your life? It along with the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. That’s important. It’s what God adds His power to – humility. God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Divine power, unmerited favor. It comes with humility. What is humility? Taking the lower place, thinking of God higher, and others higher – and you lower. It’s unnatural in the natural, only natural in the Spirit. So what brings humility – what is the incubator for it, what’s the atmosphere that allows it to grow? What can you do to prepare yourself for it, and keep yourself in it? First, you have to Recognize – your need for God. Admit you don’t know everything, He knows more than you – way more… you have to recognize your limitations and His Limitlessness. Second, you need to Believe that He will give wisdom to you if you ask. You need to believe His promise. God says ask for wisdom and He will give it (no questions asked – not if you deserve it or not) He just said if you ask, He’ll give it. First you need to recognize your need for wisdom, then believe His promise that He will give it. Third, you need to Ask. That’s humility, coming under, recognizing God knows better… Ask Him for the wisdom He promised to give. That means stop trying to figure it out on your own, just recognize your need, believe that He will give it, and ask Him for it. You might as well praise Him and thank Him right away for giving it, while you’re asking… because it’s as good as done. Finally, Obey what He tells you. Humbly obeying, submitting, coming under. Obey immediately, completely, and joyfully whatever He tells you, starting with the first step! That’s humility – that positions you for wisdom. If you don’t humble yourself, pride comes. If you humble yourself – pride is kept at bay. Humility repels pride and invites wisdom. Ask and you will receive. So what brings humility – Recognize that you need it…(your limits and His limitlessness) Believe (that He’ll give wisdom when you ask), Ask for it, and Obey (quickly, completely, with a happy heart). Recognize, Believe, Ask, and Obey… That’s how you receive it. That’s walking in humility towards God - coming under his authority, His thoughts, and His Plans for you. And humility towards others – is to consider them more important than yourself; what they say as more important than what you say. The key to humility before others – is to listen. Seek to listen to others, make room to listen, seek to understand them. Honor them. Humility is taking the lower place, and giving the higher place to someone else. Don’t worry. God will raise you up in due time. Praying that you will Recognize, Believe, Ask and Obey today – so you receive the wisdom that God gives. You receive by obeying, not just a hearer only. Praying that today, you will listen first and talk later, if God leads you. This is humility in practice. Praying that you will always choose the low place, so He can exalt you. So is this wisdom or humility? Asking for Wisdom, is walking in humility. It's recognizing God knows, you don't, Its coming under His Word and His Ways. Asking for wisdom, and walking in it - is humility in practice. Praying that you'll practice today. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you,
I just love God’s Word. It tells you what is good, and what is evil. What is righteous, and what the righteous do… What do you think? Can you be righteous if you don’t stand for righteousness? Are you righteous if you say nothing when unrighteousness abounds? What are the key issues of our day? And where do you stand on them? Do you know? Does anyone else know? Not are you seeking arguments, but do you know where you stand, and do others know where you stand? Are you willing to speak the truth (when God requires it of you) even if some people won’t agree? Some people say I’m a silent witness. Silence can be golden. But if no one told you about Jesus, and how to receive his gift of Salvation, how would you know the truth and be set free? (Not a free gift. It’s not free, it cost Jesus his life, and it will cost you your life – just in a different way. You have to leave everything behind to follow Him. But it’s the journey of a lifetime, a new life - worth every single penny (every single moment). And Joy comes with it! But if no one shared the good news, if they were silent, you wouldn’t know, and you would die in your sin. Here is a list of some current issues that we face in our time, in this generation. Where do you stand on them? Do you know? Does anyone else know? What is a woman? Do you know? (Some Supreme Court Justices don’t, school children now – don’t). Should boys be able to beat girls in girl sports? Do black lives matter or do all lives matter? Is that racist? Are you racist because you don’t vote democrat? Or don’t believe in Socialism? Or believe in equal opportunity and equal justice no matter what you look like, or where you came from? Do you believe people should pay for their ancestor’s sins? Or someone else’s ancestor’s sins? Should people be de-platformed from social media who question fair elections or vaccines? Should governments be allowed to force medical procedures on people? Should companies be allowed to fire people who don’t get a jab – when the adverse effects are crippling and killing people? Should children be required or encouraged to get an experimental jab, when they have a 99% chance of surviving a virus if they even caught it? Should Government watchdog agencies be paid by pharmaceutical companies whom they are charged to regulate? Should politicians or government employees profit financially from the tax payer paid vaccines or medical procedures they promote or require? Should social media companies be exempt from liable or slander? Should Social Media companies be allowed to deny 1st Amendment rights of free speech for American Citizens? Should pharmaceutical companies be exempt for illness or death caused by vaccines? Should jobs or companies be closed down for a flu-like virus? Should babies be killed for the convenience of their mother, or the crime of the perpetrator? Should a President and his administration be allowed to ignore border laws which required legal entry into the United States, and instead invite people to come illegally, and transport them across the country in clear violation of Federal Law? Should Administrations or Governors be allowed to ignore laws they don’t like? Should incumbent administrations be allowed to use federal law enforcement agencies against their political opponents? Should homosexuals and transvestites be allowed or invited to parade in front of children. Should children be encouraged and convinced that they might be the opposite gender, and given life altering irreversible hormones or surgeries? And paid for with tax payer dollars? Should a lifetime criminal who refused multiple lawful commands from police officers, who was high on drugs, be celebrated as a hero, and given statutes like the founding fathers of this nation? Should some criminals who attack people or property be set free with no bail on the same day, while those who protest unfair elections be held without bail for over a year? And denied attorney visits without repercussion? Should a State or Federal government be allowed to arrest front running political opposition candidates to prevent their running for office against an incumbent of the other party? How long will a nation flaunt murder, oppression, debauchery and injustice before God says enough is enough. Psalms 50:21 - “You did these things, and I kept silent, and you thought I didn’t care…” But now I lay your charges before you.” Where do you stand on these things? Do you know? Does anyone else know? Are you ignorant, uninformed, or have no view or opinion of the issues of our times? Do you know what God says, and what God thinks about these things. He love justice, He hates injustice. He loves truth, He hates lies. He hates murder, false accusation, and sexual perversion. How will you lead anyone to truth if you don’t know it yourself? Is the Holy Spirit in you? God said He will lead you in all truth. Do you know truth, or are you easily swayed and deceived by the evil of this generation? How will you ever be men of Issachar who understood the times, and knew what the people of God should do. God said, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. If you don’t know what the people of God should do in the times we live, you will be a victim of the times, not a shaper of them, or an overcomer. How will you help anyone else escape the evil of our day? How will God save a nation, if the people who are called by his name, don’t humble themselves and pray, and seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways? Praying that you will seek God, and seek truth, and know truth, and know what side God is on. He is always on the side of truth. Praying that you will know truth, so you can speak the truth in love. So you can represent the God of truth, in love. Praying that you will be led by the Holy Spirit when it comes to things of the Spirit, and the things of this world. So your light will shine, like a city set on a hill. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you,
I just love God’s Word. It’s uncomfortable. Not that I like uncomfortable, just that it’s necessary sometimes if you are ever going to know the truth, and be set free by it. Have you ever avoided a conversation or subject because of the opposition it will cause? I have. (This Daily Huddle could be one of them) I’ve avoided some conversations - hopefully, not out of fear… It’s wise to pick your battles, but most importantly only say what and when the Holy Spirit prompts you. Casting pearls before swine, only gets you rended… Sometimes, it’s not the time to say anything. Other times it is – and it will take courage. So how do you know? God’s Word seems contradictory sometimes, but it’s not. “Do not answer a fool according to his folly or you will be like him.” And then it says, “Answer a fool according to his folly or he will be wise in his own eyes.” So which is it? Depends on the fool… This is only known by discernment, as the Holy Spirit leads you. There is a time for everything – be sure you know what time it is, and what time it’s not. It’s always time for humility. Pray, ask the Holy Spirit. Don’t rush into ‘setup’ conversations unprompted by the Holy Spirit, and don’t ignore the prompting when His nudge is directing you. Pray in the Spirit and you’ll walk in the Spirit - stay in the flesh and you’ll respond in the flesh. It’s helpful to realize that ungodly people always look for an opportunity to cancel, slander, shame or accuse God, God’s Word, people who believe in God or the righteous standards of God. That’s why if you ever say anything that God says (especially about sin), that godless people do - or want to do – they will come after you. They have to justify their sin… You will be called an ist or a phobe. A racist, misogynist, homophobe, xenophobe… all the favorite made-up words coined by unintelligent people to bully anyone who doesn’t agree with their sin or their socialist religion. And socialism’s opportunity is created by economic or social chaos which is initially bred from pitting people against each other. Race against race, party against party, men against women, boys against girls, privileged against underprivileged, and they’ll decide who gets what label. They’ll even make up new genders if they have to, to create more privileged and underprivileged groups, to divide people… class against class, rich against poor, or region against region. A new generation of utopian socialists are being created by a state-run education system at every level - that is merely a propaganda factory which selects, twists or deletes history… imparting religion not education; decrying spiritual religion while propagating an even stronger social religion. Despite the fact that socialism has been an abject failure in every government attempt in human history. It unanimously results in shortages, inflation, poverty and misery in every instance, and the loss of freedom for all citizens, except for the leftists in power. It always results in the eventual mass murder of its citizens (anyone who does not agree with the socialists.) They become the fascists they decried at the start. So until they succeed in their desire to replace the US Constitution with a Socialist Manifesto – they will take every opportunity to bully people with made up shame terms, when facts, truth, logic nor history are on their side – which is almost always. Unintelligent? Isn’t that just reciprocally name-calling? No, that’s not a made-up term, it’s a forthright and accurate description based on the definition of the word. Intelligent - “Endowed with the faculty of reason.” Why are they unintelligent? Because intelligence realizes that facts and evidence are what proves truth, not volume, popularity, opinion, or terms which label people you disagree with. Have you ever heard someone attempt to excuse what God calls sin by saying “we’re all God’s children?” As if that justifies what God clearly calls sin… Or “God says you shouldn’t judge others.” - their favorite verse. When God’s Word really says – don’t judge people, but when it comes to actions, make righteous judgments! In truth, we are not all God’s children. We are all His creation, but not all His children. How do you know that’s true, when some say the opposite is true? Because of what God said. John 1:12 – “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become the children of God.” God said that. So you weren’t born as His child, you become his child through faith in His Son Jesus – his death in your place to cover the penalty for your sin. I John 3:10 - This is how we know who the children of God are, and who the children of the devil are. Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love his brother and sister. For anyone intelligent, that begs the obvious question – what is right? And what is love? Not telling the truth isn’t love, excusing sin isn’t love, if they are in danger, love warns them! Regarding right and wrong, moral and immoral, an intelligent person quickly recognizes if two people claim opposite things are right - whose standard do we go by? Well, if the question at hand is who is God’s child, the intelligent person would go by God’s definition as to who His child is, over someone else’s opinion who merely claim they are His child. You don’t have to be religious to accept or understand that, just intelligent – endowed with the faculty of reason. Clearly using made up terms, labels whose definitions are derived on a sliding scale depending on the day or week by a declining culture, to bully people, maligning their character, and shaming them… This clearly is not love which God says defines His children… These are slander and accusation, not love. That’s not loving your brother and sister, that’s accusing them of things you don’t have evidence for, just opinion about. They do what their father does, the accuser of the brethren, the father of lies, and a murderer from the beginning. That’s why socialism is their god, not the One True God. That’s why they will accuse anyone who doesn’t accept their deception as truth, as being either anti-constitutional, or since the US Constitution itself unilaterally opposes their views, they will accuse that person of being immoral based on their revised definition of morality. It is a false morality based on labels, the opinions and desires of men, not the Truth of God. So what should the children of God do in the fierce spiritual battle to destroy America with socialism? Love, not accuse. Don’t slander, God hates it. Don’t argue or debate, pray and speak the truth in love. Ask God when to say or not say, when to stand for truth in words, and when to stand for truth in prayer, and how to love even the unlovely. The goal isn’t to win the argument, it’s to win them to Christ. Not to win them to your position, but to win them to God’s provision – and wisdom comes from God, you can’t find it apart from Him. Praying that you will increase your prayer life. You need it, our nation needs it. Clearly people who are lost need it. Love your brother and sister, love your neighbor, even your enemies. If you increase in prayer and God’s Word – He will lead you to fruitful conversations, and fruit bearing opportunities. Let God lead you – things are not as they seem, or as they appear. God is working behind the scenes. And He wants to bring you on the scene, in His perfect timing – with love that conquers all, truth that sets people free, and words like apples of gold in pictures of silver. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It tells you how to be righteous… Why would anyone care about that? First, only the righteous will ever be in heaven with God for eternity. No wickedness will ever be found there, only righteousness will get you in. God is light – light and darkness don’t mix, like oil and water. If you are not righteous, you won’t live there – you’re disqualified. So how do you be righteous? You might as well know up front. You can’t. You need some help. God says we were born sinners, because of Adam and Eve the tables turned, now everyone at birth is stained with sin. That’s why you don’t have to teach a child to disobey you, they do it naturally. Even at 2 years old, they’ll look right at you and still reach for that cookie that you just told them not to touch. It comes naturally, because Adam’s sin became human nature. What is righteous? Right Standing and Right Doing. Right Standing (you have to change what you were born as and born with – and get reborn in righteousness, not sinfulness). And Right Doing. Once you are made righteous – then you have to do it, walk in it, and He gives you grace (power) to do it. The blood of Jesus cleanses sin, it’s what gives you a new birth so you are righteous by nature, not sinful by nature. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD. That means, once you receive His gift of Salvation, and commit the rest of your life to Him, now… He’s the bossa you, not that old nature that sins naturally. Once you are made righteous by putting your faith in Jesus – to cover your sins, forgive them forever, and make you righteous… Then be filled with the Holy Spirit – that God promised. So you can walk in righteousness. Both the Blood and the Spirit are power. The blood of Jesus makes you righteous by nature, and the Holy Spirit makes you righteous by action – He’s the power to walk in it. You need help to be righteous, and to walk in righteousness. Let no one deceive you, whoever does what is right is righteous (I John 3:7). You do what you are. That’s why those in Christ, who are filled with the Holy Spirit – do what is right. They can choose not to, but they have power to, if they want to. And the Holy Spirit even gives you the power to want to (you even need help with that). Philippians 2:13 – For it is God who works in you both to will and act according to his good purpose. God sees you as righteous if you have put your faith in His Son Jesus. He who has the Son has life, but He who does not have the son does not have life. (I John 5:12) If your sins have been covered by the blood of Jesus, just because you did something that wasn’t righteous, doesn’t mean your aren’t righteous by nature anymore. You still are the new you, with God’s forgiveness available. Just don’t continue in sin, you don’t have to. You have power to walk in the righteousness that you are in Christ Jesus. So how do you keep walking in it? How do you do what’s right – rather than what seems right, or what other people think is right. #1 Pray in the Spirit and you’ll walk in the Spirit. First you have to be baptized in the Holy Spirit to get your language to pray in the Spirit. Be sure you obey the first thing Jesus said when He left – and receive the Holy Spirit – Luke 11:13) #2 Soak in God’s Word – His Word is truth. It’s how you keep yourself from going back to your old ways, stay in His Word – it’s living and active and powerful… it will separate even the motives and intents of the heart. And finally #3 Obey – the first thing He tells you to do today – do it. PiVAT before dinner will ask Him what He wants you to do today, if you ask He’ll tell you. Obey immediately, just do what He tells you - and you will get on a roll, your location will change – obedience is a path, not a list, you’ll be in a different place, which will help you get to the next place! You will end up in an entirely different destination. Where God can give you the good He has stored up for you. Praying that you will walk in the righteousness that you are in Christ. Praying that you will know that God sees you as righteous because of Jesus, and gives you the power to walk in it – where all of His goodness and blessing chases you down. He promised that goodness and mercy that will follow you all the days of your life. Not absent from trials but always present in victory! He has victory for the upright – those who walk in the righteousness that they are in Christ Jesus. Praying that you’ll know who you are, the righteousness of God in Christ, and that you’ll walk in the power to live it! Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. Everything you need, you’ll find in it. Isaiah 26:3 - You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Most people’s mind is stayed on what they have to do, or what others say or do, or something bad that happened or might happen to you. But God said, you will keep him in complete peace whose mind is stayed on you. Are you the who? Whose mind is stayed on you? Who’s the you? Jesus - the Word of God in human form. So to keep your mind stayed on him, you’re keeping it stayed on the Word. How do you do that? Fresh and Review. PRISM for today – That Praise the Word from Psalms, Read the Word from the book He led you to, and Insight (Wisdom) from the Word from Proverbs – that’s the fresh Word that He gives you for today so your mind can stay thinking about it. Then Review – Meditate on the Word, a single verse, or a PRISM Topic – the power of God’s Word on a subject, or a Packet – like the Fear Not Packet, or the Holy Spirit Packet, or the Hope Packet or Foundations Packet, or Prayer Packet. To keep your mind stayed on Him, Set aside your PRISM Times during the day – that God told you in PiVAT before dinner. And in every transition, whether the start of every hour, or any change of activity. Review a verse or Topic – Speak it out loud. Say it, declare it, thank Him and praise Him for it. It will transform your mind, build your faith, strengthen your spirit, and increase your joy. Cause when you keep your mind stayed – fixed, always coming back to His Word. His Word is what you begin to receive and experience in your life, and all his ways are life and peace. Because wisdom comes from His Word, Long life is in her right hand, in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways and all her paths are peace. (Proverbs 3:16-17) Praying that you will be filled with peace today, because your mind is stayed on His Presence that fills you, His Love that never leaves you, and His Word that strengthens you, that changes you, that never fails. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you.
I just love God’s Word. It tells you how to live a life that’s blessed. Have you ever noticed what makes a blessed life? Not the amount of money you have, or stuff you have, it’s the quality of relationships that you have. I love that God’s Word tells you how to relate well... Whether spouse, family, friends, neighbors, strangers, even enemies – it tells you how to build quality relationships that enrich the lives of others, and impact your life as well. Do you remember The Best Question Ever? What do you need most from God today? Praying that you’ll ask God this question for yourself every day, and ask it of someone else – it’s instant ministry! You’ll be surprised, even strangers will tell you. And you can pray for them - the Holy Spirit will speak God’s voice, God’s Will, and His Love for them - through your prayer. But have you ever thought about asking a similar but slightly different question of your spouse? What do you need most from me today? Most people think about what they need from their spouse. But do you think of what they need from you? You might ask them. They might tell you. Have you ever seen that picture of the young lady that is really an old lady, or is it an old lady that’s really a young lady? What do you think of first? What your wife needs from you? Or what you need from her? What your husband needs from you, or what you need from Him? Have you ever seen the marriage reality shows on tv? They are so awkwardly painful to watch most of the time, but the draw is the pure reality of human nature. Almost forty year-olds talking about 'that’s what I need in a wife.' Most of them are considering if this is the person that’s best for me. Few think if they will be the person that’s best for them. No one is really. No one is best for you, they decide to be or not. Just like you must decide if you will be, or neither of you will be the best person for your spouse. People who always think first of –“If this is the person that’s best for them," may be revealing why they are still unmarried, or divorced, or their marriage sucks - that’s not the question. What do they need from you? Are you willing to be what they need? Are you the spouse of their dreams? Not are they the spouse of your dreams. No one is a dream spouse - you learn to be. And the best way to get one, is to be one. It’s amazing the changes that can occur for those who are willing to become, more than wondering if this is the one... Clearly there is a type of person best for you to marry. People have different goals and values. Trying to please someone who doesn’t share your values, is a waste of time. That’s why dating is most often divorce practice. But if you’re married. Consider asking them the question, "What do you need most from me today?" And then - just do what they need most. You might not get it right at first, but they’ll notice that you’re trying. Don’t judge whether they’re doing what you need most. You do your part first. Let God take care of them. Divorce is extremely rare between marrieds who seek to become for their spouse what they need most. Divorce happens often between marrieds who constantly think about whether their spouse is giving them what they need or not. That’s a conversation you might have… but not the conversation to have first. You be for them - first. The Love Languages Ministry recently sent a text about a clue that helps your marriage. What your spouse complains about – may indicate their primary love language, or a love language that’s not being filled, that part of their love tank that’s running on empty. Not that you should complain, a marriage of complainers is miserable. You’re better off to communicate honestly about needs, but first ask them, "What do you need most from me today?" They’ll probably ask you right back… and maybe you both can gain insight on what to work on. It’s love in action. And active love will always grow. Love you all, dad Love you all, praying for you,
I just love God’s Word. It tells you how to be saved, and it tells you how to be filled. Have you ever tried to drive a car without the key? Unless you start the engine, you won’t get very far. Have you ever noticed people who have strong views on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, who have never received it? That’s like me writing a product review on a Lambo – when I’ve never driven one. Shouldn’t you drive the car first? Before giving a review? The reason half or more of the American church rejects the filling of the Holy Spirit in this present day, is because that’s where the power comes from. And the devil wants to prevent them from plugging into that power. (Quick side note: If you haven’t received Jesus as your Savior to give you a new heart and mind – you won’t possibly understand what we’re talking about in this Daily Huddle.) It was Jesus’ first instruction to His disciples. The very first step of obedience He required of them. If you love me, you will obey my commands… The new commandment – Love One Another. But upon His departure, which He told them He would be leaving… His first command, “Wait in Jerusalem, after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you, and you will receive power to be my witnesses (martyrs). It’s the power needed to walk in the new life, and overcome the old life. That’s why Jesus said He would ask the Father, and His Father would send them the Holy Spirit. That’s what He meant when He said, I will not leave you as orphans… He wasn’t talking about the second coming, He was talking about the promised Holy Spirit that could be everywhere with everyone, not just like Jesus in his earthly body, who was only with people, when He was with them. That’s why He said, “It’s better for you that I go” when they couldn’t understand and didn’t want him to leave. Living this new life in Christ – is a spiritual thing, not a natural thing. That’s why it doesn’t make sense to the natural mind – these things are spiritually discerned. What did He mean? You need the Holy Spirit to understand these things, your mind won’t, your spirit will. That’s why people reject the power and presence of the Holy Spirit today, if their mind can’t get its arms around it, they reject it. That’s what Nicodemus struggled with. How can a man climb back in his Mother’s womb and be born again. Jesus lovingly chided him, “You are a teacher of Israel, and do not understand these things? We are talking about spiritual things, not earthly. The devil wants to keep people from receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit – the very power they need - which Jesus promised His Father would send. Why does the devil work so hard to keep people from this? So they just live life by their brain, rather than their spirit. That’s why praying in tongues is a roadblock to some people, because they cannot understand it. When Jesus said they wouldn’t, it’s Spirit, not flesh. Praise God for things we don’t understand. I don’t really understand the workings of a gasoline engine, or how a cellphone operates, but I use them all the time. I don’t need to understand how they work, I just need to use them for the purpose they were created for – and those examples aren’t even spiritual, they’re natural. The devil will either cast doubt and unbelief about the present power and filling of the Holy Spirit, or if people did receive Him, the devil will try to keep them so preoccupied in the natural, that they neglect pursuing the presence of the Holy Spirit as a priority in their life. How often do you pray in the Spirit, versus praying in the understanding? (Heavenly Language vs. English language – or whatever your native language is?) Praying that you will review the Topic – The Purpose of Tongues in your life. Have you ever spoken to someone who rejected Christ for years? Who just wouldn’t give their life to Christ – for either unbelief, or because they didn’t want to give up their sinful life, or were afraid God would make them do something unfun – like be a pastor or a missionary… Or they would have to stop doing some things they really liked to do, which weren’t honoring to God, but they didn’t want to give up… Only to find years later, that God in His Amazing Grace and mercy and patience, allowed them to come to Christ before they died and it was too late. They suddenly realized that what the devil told them was a lie, and their only regret was not giving their life to Christ earlier. Is that you? Do you know that Jesus is the way the truth and the life, but just haven’t given your life to Him? For whatever reason… Why Wait? You’re just giving up the time you could be walking in freedom and power! What you think you’ll miss, is a mirage. Sin isn’t better that what God has for you! God is the creator of everything good. Don’t miss out on His plans for you – they are so good, better than you can imagine! A: Admit you’re a sinner (that should be easy) B: Believe that Jesus died for your sin in your place, and was raised back to life again (there were five hundred eye witnesses!), and C) Commit your life to obeying whatever He tells you. Leave that old life, so you can walk in newness of life! There’s no magic prayer – it’s just belief in the truth - and commitment of heart. Jesus forgive me I know I’m a sinner, thank you for dying in my place, for paying the price for my sin! I give you the rest of my life to you right now, whatever you say, I will do it. And thank you for your promise to help me! Cause I definitely can’t do this on my own. That’s the journey of a lifetime! And longer than that – for all eternity! Then ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit the Father Promised – so you receive power to live this new life! Luke 11:13 - “If you who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more with your Father in Heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him.” He will, the Father Promised. He will fill you with the Holy Spirit – to give you power to do what you can’t do in your own power, and to lead you into all truth! So you’re not easily deceived anymore, so you can see through deception, and build your life on truth. And if you are one of those who received Jesus as your Savior, but never received the Power that He promised - the Baptism of the Holy Spirit... Are you willing to take the first step of obedience that He told His disciples to take? Wait in Jerusalem. Be filled with the Holy Spirit – so that times of refreshing may come from the LORD. Don’t let anyone else’s unbelief, or the limits of your natural understanding, keep you from what God promised, and purposed for your good! If you’ve received these two promises from God, Salvation, and Filling of the Holy Spirit, then pursue the power of His presence. Don’t let the devil distract you by the things of the world. Develop your heavenly language. It’s no different than any child learning English. The more you speak it, the more fluent you become. You just open your mouth… the Holy Spirit will take over. Your mind won’t understand – get over it! God said that’s how it works. Do you believe in things you can’t see? You don’t see Jesus, but still believe the truth of who He is. You won’t understand your heavenly language, but speak it in faith, let the Holy Spirit pray the Father’s perfect will over you. Keep praying in the Spirit and the understanding (English) And your faith will grow, your spirit will grow, His power in you will grow. The purpose of your heavenly language is so you will have power to walk in everything God has planned for you, and to build your faith (Jude 1:21) which pleases God, and enables Him to move mountains. Praying that you won’t neglect the most powerful tool you have – praying in the Spirit - so God can lead you into all truth by His Word, and His plans for you. That’s what makes PiVAT & PRISM so powerful. You do PiVAT and PRISM by the Holy Spirit, not your brain. Your Daily Call becomes fire – as the Holy Spirit leads you and prays through your voice what your Daily Call Partner needs. That’s a powerful life - what God designed for you to walk in! So He can fulfill the purpose He has for you. Praying that what He promised, will never be missing in your life - that you will pursue it, and walk in it, that you will be always be filled with His Spirit – with the power you need! Love you all, dad |
